What i think is by "Family" he refers to the members and his friends from the valorant protocol, and those are the ones he swears to protect, and his real family, well, is not-alive

Something I find interesting is, Cypher already knew about the Hourglass when he said he found things about Omen's past in a voice line. I think it's even to the extent that Cypher probably even knew Iso was trying to assassinate Omen, had contacted him and told him about what happened to Omen, leading to, Iso knowing where Omen was, and being convinced by Cypher into joining the protocol
Personally, I believe Cypher having the hourglass lighter just means he got it after the mission. It may have just jump cut to after they searched the base and got some stuff and Omen is heading back into the vehicle, and Cypher is holding on to the hourglass technology for analysis later at Valorant HQ.
maybe he lost his child but not Nora? That could explain why he wants to revive someone, but he wants to see his wife again, and doesn't want to lose her?? Also this reminds me of fade and how she has "someone" missing as well, Maybe the 2 are connected?
