To tell you the truth, I was overthinking and "tried" to watch this video to gain insight to stop overthinking. Needless to say, I have to watch this over because I couldn't stop thinking while I was watching. I will try again and do my best. That's all I can do. Thank you for your channel. I am truly grateful for all the work you do to make us aware and to become more stoic. Peace and love from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.🙏♥️🇺🇲

00:42 🏔 Recognize overthinking as an external force: Visualize thoughts as transient, separate from your core identity, and let them pass by.
03:26 🎯 Refocus your energy: Ground yourself in the present by engaging fully in an activity, redirecting your mental energy from future worries to immediate tasks.
06:11 🍃 Embrace impermanence: Practice letting go of thoughts, understanding that they are transient and not permanent fixtures in your life.
08:49 🕰 Create a worry period: Designate specific time to address worries, analyzing and understanding them, but confine them to that time frame to regain control over your day.
11:23 🛠 Break down overwhelming thoughts: Slice big worries into manageable steps, focusing on the immediate action rather than the entire problem, reducing overthinking.
13:40 🙏 Shift to gratitude: Cultivate a perspective of gratitude by acknowledging and appreciating three things daily, redirecting focus from lack to abundance.
16:07 🎯 Focus on effort, not outcome: Redirect thoughts to the quality of your efforts, intentions, and values, being fully present in the process rather than fixating on uncertain outcomes.
18:23 ❄ Practice voluntary discomfort: Step out of your comfort zone through chosen discomfort, fostering resilience and adaptability to reduce overthinking.
20:37 🌍 Reflect on the transience of life: Gain perspective by considering the fleeting nature of our existence, prioritizing experiences and concerns to diminish overthinking.
22:38 🤝 Seek wisdom outside yourself: Share thoughts with trusted individuals for clarity and objective feedback, recognizing the value of human connection in navigating overthinking.

It’s the dark spirits that are very patient , persistent, and work like clock work to pounce at the opportunity to have dominion over u and feed u a thought or 2 that u can’t exit out ur mind . Then u backslide and ur using ur will power to feed lust . They work to make the experience in a favorable manner to them till you get out of their grip. All this stuff ur learning is good but they are just another human soul. Some are remembered because of their high intelligence and enchanting ways that ppl even study 100’s years later or even 1000’s. He’s probably in hell tbh and I wish not. Read the Bible and ur wisdom and understanding will be given to u. Much more than this soul of the past. Proverbs chapter 8. Look it up

This is opposite of what everyone says in self-help, spiritual journes, about, "love yourself" so you can love others. If I love myself I don't need everyone else, I am self-sufficient. Humans are created to be social animals, although men are interesting in things, how things work, and women more about interpersonal relationships. Men and women complement each other and reflect themselves in other. Not many people, mostly men have luck as you, which is becoming more prominent in today's western society to find someone.

    • @zacharyperez2427
      @zacharyperez2427 Год назад

@303machine the paradox of loving yourself without learning what true love is from the affection of others has plagued society for centuries. How can you stay mentally isolated and love your sense of being while pursuing an emotion that hasn't been felt yet? To truly love is to truly be alive, for it is not when you're put 6 feet under that your life ends, but when your emotions fade to black and you become just another name. To be happy, angry, sad, confused, excited, etc. can all be everyday emotions, but true love comes only a handful of times, and I now know what I'm looking for!

Over thinking is my main problem in life. And I worry about stuff that never even happens but it could happen. And I waste time worrying about stuff that doesn't happen.
So I am the example of someone that overthinks and it literally ruins my whole life. With the exception of a certain percentage of my life is really good.
You taught me in 1 day that over thinking is ruining my life and tommorow will be a new day! You just solved a 30 year stress problem So now you taught people that over thinking can really destroy a person's life, including mine! So now you have to perfect this philosophy in your mind, which will not be that easy because life sucks sometimes.
But that is what you have to do to make everything. A little better!

Embracing stoicism renders it easier, for the eternal wisdom is worth its weight in gold in the bustling society we presently inhabit. Thank you for this insightful video and words, they will aid many in rediscovering the joy of living once more.

I can probably knock out all the problems in a couple weeks. ! Many of your philosophies are MI philosophy. But I am not going all out and just acting on it. To solve the problems so beginning this week. I will go all out with your philosophy added to my philosophy and I will get back to you and tell you how my week is going. It was far easier to let thoughts go in prison than in freedom, because, I had accepted the futility of anxiety while there and time passed while focusing on small tasks like bettering myself through reading, self reflection and consistent work outs. Since I came home, I had to truly calm myself down and get centered, it's taken far longer than I even did in prison.

Oh and plugging the ears tightly with silicone ears plugs…allows you to hear yourself think and hear yourself clearly. This takes time but if your in a big city like I am. Plugging your ears with comfortable ear plugs, the kind that really blocks out the sound and bad vibes. Breath! Stretch! Everyday!

Sometimes, I get locked into overthinking. I have tried many of these strategies, and sometimes, they work for me, and sometimes, they don't. I need to listen again . usually I am lacking something

Been trying to walk the path of the stoic. Ain't always easy, but things worth doing seldom are.

Walking the path of the stoic can definitely be challenging at times, but it's worth it in the end.

In addition to these things I get stuck on thoughts about being betrayed and hurt and abused by people, especially people that I believed had my best interest at heart and instead they were just using me. I am a target for predation, and I get stuck a lot of the time ruminating over the fact that there are very mean people on this planet, who seek out victim, such as myself in order to pray upon them And use up their resources to further themselves to me. This is so hard to accept. I just sit and well on things like how can people be like this? How are people so evil to one another? How can people be so ugly and hurtful and act like they don’t know right from wrong and deliberately hurt each other, and just betrayal to the point where your trust is turned inside out by someone that you thought would never do something like that that’s what I get stuck on help any advice please thank you.
