Ha, ha! I don't do heat either. Despite what you hear about Oregon, it does get very hot here in the Wilamette Valley in the summer. Grapes love it, me, not so much.
I love the chaotic good energy from this garden. As someone who loves a garden, but lives in an apartment, I tend to have a hodgepodge of plants including rescues and strays. Thanks for the tour!
Watch out for that grape vine. We didn't pay attention to ours for about a year and it's now all through the neighboring woods, pops up in our azaleas and is seemingly immortal.
Jose - your garden is magnificent! You've clearly put a huge amount of work into it (along with the gardener, I take it) and you have a great eye for design. Love the semi-wild look, which takes a lot of talent to achieve, and the tree stump is a great feature. I look forward to more tours.
Looks lovely Jose! But as a bossy garden 'nonna' I'll give you some advice: First - get your orchard design sorted-out, now! Second, all those fruit trees then need desperately to be dug-in to wherever you've decided. Remember to always liberally water the plant before transplanting, dig a nice wide, deep hole, sprinkle with blood and bone meal, then make sure after depotting to gently pull roots out of circular growth pattern and spread them out, then place in hole etc. Also you better plant the blackberries and raspberries in a place where they can ramble and not choke other plants, because they are invasive, very vigorous growers and can easily get out of hand! Your orchard will start bearing good fruit after 3yrs. in the meantime, keep watering them well, as during these 3 yrs. they're establishing a strong root system. Green thumb-up, Nonna!
Wait, you have to put BLOOD and BONE in the ground for the plants to feed on? Metal. I'm scared of gardening now. I thought you just used things like composted manure. You know, things you get naturally from animals you let live.
I'm so impressed you've managed to keep so much alive! I can barely manage succulents now that I moved to a cooler climate, everything always died in AZ.
Jose, your roses are incredibly beautiful. I'm so jealous. Are some of them older varieties? Everything in your garden looks like they're thriving. I hope the weather cooperates. What a peaceful video. Thank you for inviting us in to see it all. 🙂🖖💕💕

The only thing awake in my garden right now is the dandelions! (Oh, and day lilies, but no flowers on them yet)
I feel ya on the heat of summer! My poor plants need so much water now. I love the multi variety fruit trees! Definitely going to look into them when i get a house again. If you have room for more roses, then check out the Peace rose, which would need to be trellised, and Mr. Lincoln, which is a bush variety. Both smell magical! So nice to see ya Jose! I've been watching Tasting History for some time now, so I knew Max got married, but you've never been on any of the episodes I've seen so far so it's nice to finally see you. Is Max, or José, ever lazy? I'd guess not very often!
What a wonderful garden, so lush and green. You'll get lots of crops as it matures. 😍
Love the Pokemons living in the underbrush... Very Max.!
What a wonderful garden--definitely a happy place! I bet your kitties love hanging out there too.
Oh, they're indoor cats. I couldnt stand worrying about outdoor kitties.
Nice garden tour. I grow nasturtiums every year and sometimes put the flowers in salads. You do have a lot of roses! Love the official signs. When you grow tomatoes inside (sometime even outside) you have to pollinate them. I just use my finger, go from blossom to blossom. Those bumps might be scale. Pain in the butt to control. Love the credits at the end! Too cute. Hello from rainy Willamette Valley OR.
Jose, your green thumb has me green with envy! Seriously though, it's beautiful, like something out of a dream. I can only imagine how wonderful it smells.
