As a patriot of Canada , I fly our flag every year. My father was a world two veteran. I fly it on behalf of my father. Also all veterans. In my country very few people fly the flag. My visit to the US, left me so impressed. Most homes were flying the flag. God Bless all veterans in Canada and our comrades in the US. Robert Elder, Toronto Ontario Canada. Amen.
Thank you whoever you were. Obviously your a honourable person yourself. It meant alot to me for liking my story. God Bless you. God Bless Canada and the USA. Amen.
@@robertelder7685Hello, is everything okay? I really liked your story. Here in Brazil we have the same habit of not flying the national flag on houses. I rarely see two houses with it flying. From an early age I saw a lot about flags in homes in the United States and in your country, Canada. Since then I have been flying my state flag, in the case of São Paulo, where I live. I had the one from my country, but it tore and I had the one from my state left over and I plan to have another one in the future. Big hug my friend, and a happy new year to you and your family! Cheers!! Greetings from Brazil to Canada.
God Bless you , Mr Dr Drake . A great hug to you and your family. As you , I am proud of all sacrifices our family heritage as endured. Take care, God be with you. Fly with pride as you and I have. Amen. Robert Elder Toronto Ontario Canada
@@robertelder7685I wish you, your family and your country, Canada, a happy new year full of peace and health!! My name is Thiago and I send you a greeting from São Paulo, Brazil!
I just love this project. I really like the jig you set up for painting and will have to implement that for some of my projects. I’m also glad that no puddles occurred during the making of this video. LOL!! Thank you for this video.😀
Outstanding work, wow, that was an awesome job. Love everything diy projects and that's why I like to do when I don't find a better quality of product out there.
Colonial Flag is probably the closest manufacturer to Erda. That is also a fine company on the other side of the mountain just off of south I-15. This is a fine and timely topic. It’s a grand old flag! Thanks Jay.
James, you can, but that will be a temporary repair, especially if you use typical framing lumber such as fir or pine. You might use a short section of conduit or pipe at the break. Let me know how turns out. Best, DFJ
I think the American flag is fashionable in terms of design. In Japan, there are almost no houses that decorate the fields recently. I also want to cherish the Japanese flag. I think the American flag is also wonderful.🇺🇸💕🇯🇵
10:34 I was told that your barrel is upside down. The thick ring should be away from the Flag. The bottom barrel has the thick ring facing away from the Flag. This way, the Flag has less stuff to move around as well as not catching on any exposed set screw.
Tracy, I think you should always support the workers and economy first of the country that you live in - and when you can just do it yourself, it's even better. Thanks for writing. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already! Best, DFJ
Thanks Dexter Butler. That flag was hanging there temporarily until I had them both mounted and could carry them to post them on our front porch. Best to you, DFJ
@@dexterbutler9735 it all depends on where your POV is. From where the camera is here, yes, it's backwards. But if you were on the other side, it's correct.

Wonderful information., Jay! A good follow up would a quick video on basic flag etiquette, such as how to fold the flag and proper, flag retirement.
Great suggestion JS Quacker. We'll see about doing this as a long form document on our website. (dirtfarmer jay.com)

Very helpful video. I just made a flag pole for Memorial Day, but I may make one like this to replace it.
That's a great idea! Let me know how it goes. DFJ
More durable , great idea .
Definitely! This set up will last a long time and do it's job well. Thanks for writing! Best, DFJ

Just curious... anybody remember the blue star box (on the flag) resting on a red stripe?
Let’s buy American made products or…make it at home! 😊🇺🇸 Thank you for your videos.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the flag hanging behind you is backwards? The union should be over your right shoulder. Other than that, great video.

Conduit? Should i buy 3 inch diameter? 1/2 inch? Stop watching cause not informative
1" is the size we use. Best overall trade of strength, appearance and weight. Thanks for the feedback! Best Regards, DFJ
