We want to send you a powerful free resource report called CPAP Mastery Toolkit. It reveals, simple yet effective tools we use to help so many people solve their CPAP problems for good. These folks initially struggled to use their CPAP to the point they hated it, dreaded the thought of sleeping at night with their CPAP and was about to give up. We helped them overcome their problems and now they honestly look forward to sleeping with their CPAP. We have successfully helped thousands of people (for the last 20 clinical years specializing in the treatment of sleep apnea and we are still doing so.) We are just sharing what seems to work for most struggling CPAP users. Click the link to get this very useful CPAP Mastery Toolkit - www.cpaphelpdesk.com/stop-stru...

In part 6 of 8 short videos, I show & explain:
    - Auto On / Auto off -- great for someone lazy like me.
    - Difference between Respironics Remstar Auto and this Resmed CPAP.
    - When the Auto OFF does not work. Be aware of them.
    - Auto Dimming
    - Automatic Altitude Setting.
    - What is the minimum and maximum settings this CPAP can be programmed to.
    - Ramp . What you can change. What happens to a lot of people.
    - How the ramp feature works in the other brands of CPAP machines.
    - How you can program the type of CPAP tubings.
    - Why you must register the type of CPAP mask you are using.
    - Mask Fit Feature -- awesome.
    - Which is harder to learn -- Respironics CPAP or this Resmed CPAP ?
Different brands of CPAP machines perform very differently. If you take the time to watch our video reviews you will (hopefully) have enough information to make the right choice before deciding to purchase a CPAP & Heated Humidifier.
Weigh out the Pros & Cons first. It will save you money and your patience.

It truly is a personal preference. Most people who have been fortunate enough to try both brands will tend to pick the Resmed S9 Auto.

If you have sinus issues, you most likely will breath through your mouth. Please use a Full Face CPAP mask. The higher the number on the heated humidifier = the more moisture you will get. Play with it. If you are dry, go higher on that number. Also many high end CPAP machines will allow you to preheat the distilled water before you use your CPAP. This will give you a richer humidification experience. If not sure , call the home care company and they should teach you. I hope this helps.

    Part 2 of a 2 part answer:
Many times changing the pressure is not the solution. The problem & solution is not obvious & it lays elsewhere
Perhaps this may help - stop by the website and click on “CPAP Mask Problems” on the left side navigation bar. This might provide some answers to your current CPAP issues.
Discuss your problem with the Respiratory Therapist of the Home Care Company.
Also just call your doctor and explain the problem you are facing. I hope this helps a tiny bit.

. Please download your CPAP and have your sleep physician interpret it.
. Generally speaking the doctor will not prescribe an Auto CPAP if a person has mixed sleep apnea.
. Mixed Sleep Apnea is someone having a combination of Central and Obstructive Sleep apnea.
. High amounts of CPAP pressure can only aggravate Central Sleep Apnea. That's why you must work with a Sleep Specialist not a Family physician.

    Hi,
Firstly thanks for the awesome informative videos on CPAPs. I am 30 and recently been recommended for CPAP machine. I am trying to decide between S9 Auto and Icon. Can you please suggest overall which would be better choice. I know both have their own pros and cons, but If you have to choose one, what would you choose. Please suggest one.

When I perform the Mask Fit test in the setup menu I get a result of [frowny face] "Adjust". I have brand new nasal cushion and headgear, and I followed the manufacturer's instructions to ensure I had it assembled/adjusted properly. Are there any diagnostic tools I have available on the machine itself that I may have missed, or do you have any suggestions please. I am ordering a new hose in case there are any leaks in that. Thank you for your videos, they are very informative and helped me to get to know this particular model MUCH better.

How do you change the pressure settings?

Is 'autoset' necessary for me? I'm a new CPAP patient and about to meet with DME.
How should I say to my sleep doctor to convince her to get 'autoset' instead of the elite?

    Part 1 of a 2 part answer :
Please forgive me. You are going to hate my answer.
I am legally not allowed to show someone how to change CPAP and BiPAP pressures by themselves. Our professors put the fear of GOD in us as they explained that “CPAP pressure is viewed as a drug, and requires a prescription as regulated by the FDA. Whenever anything is artificially pumped into a human being, it has to be supervised by a physician.”
