In the confrontation with him and Laura, you can see him wearing it, and he makes the connection. They made it seem weird, but, I think that was a good thing that he got the plates together for the waiter or the Buser. I have issues with that edit of that scene from the producers. They must never have had to work the service job either! Not, that I feel Clay is in the right for all things, AT ALL, but he was in the right for that thing

Perhaps instead of finding justifications to screw up a woman's body (copper IUDs are still as problematic as anything else), folks just learn basic sex Ed. There are literally only 2 - 3 days per month a woman can get pregnant. Either wear protection during those days or simply don't have sex at all during that time frame.

Amy not wanting to use birth control is valid but vasectomy may not be the best option if you want kids in the future especially when condoms exist. Jon wear condoms dude. Based on Attachment theory - Jimmy is clearly avoidant and will continue to trigger Chelsea's anxious attachment style. This relationship will end up toxic. Clay is also avoidant but AD is secure so this couple has a better chance of working.

I really don’t get the sympathy for Jimmy. He’s pretty clearly on the bottom for me, and he has been on the bottom since he did Jessica dirty. He’s dishonest, he’s a liar, he’s incapable of accountability, he’s emotionally immature, and he’s got the communication skills of a 2x4. A,D needed to leave Clay’s behind at the pods. That man needs so much work on himself. He should not be on that LIBwanting a woman to fix him. He’s too much work, and there is very little time before the wedding. It’s very difficult to change patterns of behaviour, and it requires time relearning different and more positive thought patterns. Once you have learned a more constructive way of thinking, your actions become more positive. He is full of negative thoughts, which translates into negative behaviour. Takes a long time to be fully conscious of how your thought translates into your behaviour.

There is birth control that can used 5+ years to where she didn’t have to take a pill everyday. Surgery is a lot and unnecessary.

Based on Attachment theory - Jimmy is clearly avoidant and will continue to trigger Chelsea's anxious attachment style. This relationship will end up toxic. Clay is also avoidant but AD is secure so this couple has a better chance of working.

Amy did not jump to vasectomy. It was clear she said it after him not so subtly putting birth control on her. BEFORE she mentioned vasectomy out of exasperation, he said that his previous girlfriends have all been on birth control. It was clear that was not the first time he mentioned it.
She has said since the show that she did bring up condoms (which should be #1 since they just met), and he didn't think that was good enough.
I do agree that this couple and so many folks debating about it are showing they failed health class or simply don't care to learn about their bodies. There are only 2 - 3 days a month you can get pregnant. Don't do the deed on those days - the end.

My parents were married for 40 years until my dad died, and to be frank, I think they would both have been better off divorced many years before that. Kids can definitely sense stuff like this.

I really don’t get the sympathy for Jimmy. He’s pretty clearly on the bottom for me, and he has been on the bottom since he did Jessica dirty. He’s dishonest, he’s a liar, he’s incapable of accountability, he’s emotionally immature, and he’s got the communication skills of a 2x4.
Chelsea sucks but Jimmy is not even remotely attracted to her and has been leading her on for what, 5 or 6 episodes now? She’s in denial too but they can both be in the wrong. That relationship is running on makeup sex and squinting, but that’s more than enough to keep a guy like Jimmy there, it’s not really a mystery. He’s a simple guy. Everything he’s said about women’s bodies has kind of revealed that.
Everywhere else I look on this season, people are picking Jimmy apart. Obviously Chelsea is a mess, she is manipulative, but that’s not really an excuse for choosing a girl based solely off looks on a dating show about personality, lying to her multiple times, harassing girls in front of her, and basically taking every chance he gets to tell her big words instead of changing. Her demands are over the top, but he’s consistently uninterested in trying to make her happy, nor doing the right thing and having an open conversation.
He’s not a redeemable character by any real measure lmao. He’s a loser.
He only gets sympathy because Chelsea is a first class train wreck!

@Rach-631 there are IUDs that have no hormones. They usually stay in for 5 years, so that would fit the timeline. They just need to talk to a doctor.

I think Amy has legitimate concerns about using the BCP. However both Jimmy and Amy need to sit with a doctor…gynaecologist who can explain to them both other successful methods of birth control. Both are ignorant of the steps Amy needs to take to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, and Jimmy needs to know that birth control methods are not totally in her hands. He can use condoms, plus spermicidals. He has no right to be insistent on her using the Pill. He is so afraid of unwanted pregnancy, it makes him crazy. He will call off the wedding if she objects to taking the BCP….or that’s how it comes across to me.

A,D needed to leave Clay’s behind at the pods. That man needs so much work on himself. He should not be on that LIBwanting a woman to fix him. He’s too much work, and there is very little time before the wedding. It’s very difficult to change patterns of behaviour, and it requires time relearning different and more positive thought patterns. Once you have learned a more constructive way of thinking, your actions become more positive. He is full of negative thoughts, which translates into negative behaviour. Takes a long time to be fully conscious of how your thought translates into your behaviour.

Condoms don't actually have that great of a success rate if someone is truly completely against having a kid right now and while I do agree that there are probably other ways, maybe they discussed those and there's some reason they can't do it? AD watched Clay buss those plates and slurp that soup and thought, I’m going to be embarrassed when I take him around. She said elsewhere in the episode that showing him off around town is something she was looking forward to but he’s not giving her confidence that he’ll make her look good. She liked his clothes but that ain’t all it takes to stand up to scrutiny, especially not to the discerning eye of the black women AD probably hangs out with.
