I dont understand why she stopped singing this in concert. She was adamant on singing Bridge Over Troubled Waters but this here would have ALWAYS brought the house down.
@Stuff-Like -That 2013 I'm not speaking of recently,. I saw her at the Microsoft Center in 2015 and she hollared all night long. She testified twice. So she could have sung it at that time.
I love Aretha!!! I wish she would have protected her voice better than what she did....We hear how Whitney sounds now...when back in the day, Whitney had a voice to die for...but its like now she just don't have that same texture and authority in her voice and Aretha to me fell into the same catorgory.
This “Sister" knows she can play the “HELL" out of a piano!!!

Maybe it took more effort, more breath and a toll on her voice - especially as the illness progressed.
