I've had this issue before too, figured out that the easiest fix (for me atleast) is to go into "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\AMD" and delete the CN folder. After that the software should start/open again.
I don't think that AMD is actually working on fixing this. However I believe I have found something (at least something that works for me). As always, I am not responsible for what you do, and if following my guide makes your computer explode, it's not my fault. I am asking some of you who are affected by this bug and ever had Epic Games Launcher installed to try this: Exit Epic Games Launcher if you have it open (right click it in the notification tray and click Exit) Open the folder %localappdata%\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved Rename the Logs folder to something like LogsBackup Try to open Radeon Software and hope it works Please respond if it fixed your issue or not, or if you don't even have the EpicGamesLauncher folder. If I find out it doesn't actually work and it was just a coincidence, I will edit this post to correct it. Good Luck!

Thank you for this, I have been having this problem for about a month or two and I couldn't figure out what to do. I won't lie though, throughout the process I was nervous because I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to pc and troubleshooting, so when I finished the process and it fixed the issues I was very relieved. Before going on the adventure of safe modes/uninstall drivers etc. Try this (I solved always this error like that): 1 Locate this file "C:\Users\\AppData\Local\AMD\CN\gmdb.blb" 2 Delete it 3 Restart computer Some people maybe remember that in the past Steam had this kind of problems and you could delete the file "Clientregistry.blob" and restart and like magic steam was fixed. This is exactly like that. Hope it helps before you need to uninstall nothing.
@@m.g6917 yeah, that's how it should be. When you delete it, you create it again when you open the program, so if the previous file had a problem (corrupted for example), it is resolved.
@@kedu20 ended up reinstalling multiple times over and over again and it finally worked. Never buying AMD again no matter what. This time didn't have much choice because it was a laptop. Next time I hope that Intel improved some things with GPUs on laptops, the latest ones are a bit better

This is a great way to fix this but I looked through the amd folder and found the amd cleanup utility and it completely wiped all amd and display drivers I found this to be easier than going through the programs list Uninstalling and trying to delete the amd folder it does it all for you and it boots you into safe mode before it does it

Same issue with me lmao I was playing Watch Dogs 2 because legion got boring, fired a shot and my GPU crashed, if I know anything about AMD it's definitely Drivers, they don't work if they're out of date like Nvidias does.
ugh this is JUST ANOTHER UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL GUIDE. people could think of this solution with common sense. the primary issue is doing it all again every update. we need a permanent/futureproof solution that could prevent us from manually reinstalling every stupid update.
This needs to be stickied. If your still having this problem even after doing all these steps please take my advice.. Did a clean install of 19.1.2 AMD Radeon settings, and then went to device manager, showing "show hidden devices" and then simply uninstalled my onboard intel graphics. You can also do this through the driver Uninstaller just select intel instead of amd. I did this videos steps like 5 times it never worked but this did

Even after following your instructions without issues, the download days "drivers were not loaded" and the Radeon Software does not open. Perhaps if you explained more about what you're doing instead of rushing through that would help. Now I have no loaded drivers on my PC.

I have problems with my GUP or im not sure what's is problem. Sometimes when i start up PC and watch YT my sound in one moment just make sound like ZZZZZzzz and screen freezing and restart pc . After restart my drivers are crashed and i need again instal. This is now common problem 😢
@@sta7zy697 i fixed with old drivers from 2019 and happends few times but with that drivers all the games have less 30% FPS i tested. I have RX 590 8gb and CPU Rayzen 5 2700x . I try everything still not help at all.
I had this issue, so figured I'd uninstall and reinstall, after the uninstall I was prompted to reboot, and now all I see is no signal detected, regardless of whether I plug into my video card or run video off the cpu.

amazing video! thank you! my only criticism is that you talk very fast and follow out with the actions too quickly, i often had to replay certain sections due to watching and carrying out the instructions as you were doing them. BUT that was my only criticism! I have to reinstall my drivers once every 3 weeks (give or take) as my pc randomly crashes and when it restarts it doesnt register my 2 monitors :( thanks you again

Well, following these steps got the software to show in the taskbar (where it wasn’t appearing at all prior to these steps) but it still won’t open the UI at all
Just to add - I had this issue in November 2021, none of this fixed it. When I checked, I still had NVIDIA drivers and apps installed, so I uninstalled them, and hey presto! It works!
to make this video short: uninstall old driver with ddusoftware, but start windows in safe mode before, and then download the driver from amd and install. wont fix anything in my case. did this before several times. i try mining with four cards (rx 470 480 570 and 570) , trying to open radeon software is a pain in the ... also every click in the menu and changing into compute mode absolute horror. always showing message "not reacting" .... and then wait another 40 seconds and again and again and again and again .... big mistake to start mining with rx 400/500 series
One thing they don't tell you. Safe mode doesn't work when your account is linked with microsoft. Which means that the pin you use to log in will not work, nor will the wifi and network options either.
I just wanna add a bit more, because I had an extra error when I went to install new drivers and found a fix: Error 195 - AMD Software Installer Cannot Continue Because It Is Unable to Access the Required Web Resources If you get this. I got you. You will be unable to use the auto installer, but don't worry, it's just a few extra steps to do it manually. 1. Go to www.amd.com/en/support . If you know your Graphics Card, skip to step 3. 2. If you DON'T know what your graphics card is, you can find out one of two ways. A. By looking directly at your graphics card, there will be a sticker on it somewhere. Or B. type dxdiag into the windows search bar. When that program opens, click "Display". The Info next to "Name:" is your graphics card. 3. Find your graphics card and click "Submit" 4. Click your version of windows and download the driver. THIS file comes with the driver itself, so it doesn't need to fetch anything online. 5. Install and run, restarting PC when prompted. Set to go! After restarting, best way to verify install is to simply right click on your desktop. if you see AMD at the top of the right click menu, you're all set to game. Go get your ass kicked!
Yeah, I'm on adrenalin 23.9.3 and it won't open. I've done multiple uninstall and fresh installs using DDU and a newly downloaded driver. I've done everything I can possibly think of, or that google has suggested.
1. Delete AMD (Not Chipset) 2. Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and unzip into desktop (for convenience) 3. Boot into Safe mode 4. Use DDU to uninstall Driver 5. Reinstall driver To make it even easier without any potential confrontations have the latest driver for your graphics card pre downloaded, and just before you boot into safe mode turn off the Wi-Fi so you don’t give windows the opportunity too download a driver.
Man, you saved my bacon! Thanks and subscribed! My only glitch was that apparently I have my documents backed up on dropbox cloud only, so even dragging them to the desktop meant that I only had placeholders on the computer and in safe mode with no Internet or dropbox i could not access the original files. I had to restart without safe mode and put the files on my archive Drive D, And restart in safe mode from there.

I had this issue, so figured I'd uninstall and reinstall, after the uninstall I was prompted to reboot, and now all I see is no signal detected, regardless of whether I plug into my video card or run video off the cpu.
I've tried re-installing but the issue is still not fixed.

Fax, literally had to reinstall drivers every time I turned on my pc because Adrenaline refused to open. Trash cards, trash support.
How do I get that specific uninstaller?
One thing I wish is that tutorials would slow down. Can't keep up with you while doing this myself

amazing video! thank you! my only criticism is that you talk very fast and follow out with the actions too quickly, i often had to replay certain sections due to watching and carrying out the instructions as you were doing them. BUT that was my only criticism! I have to reinstall my drivers once every 3 weeks (give or take) as my pc randomly crashes and when it restarts it doesnt register my 2 monitors :( thanks you again

Well, following these steps got the software to show in the taskbar (where it wasn’t appearing at all prior to these steps) but it still won’t open the UI at all
Didn’t work can’t do anything now because amd isn’t installing anymore. Just force resets
Just to add - I had this issue in November 2021, none of this fixed it. When I checked, I still had NVIDIA drivers and apps installed, so I uninstalled them, and hey presto! It works!
to make this video short: uninstall old driver with ddusoftware, but start windows in safe mode before, and then download the driver from amd and install. wont fix anything in my case. did this before several times. i try mining with four cards (rx 470 480 570 and 570) , trying to open radeon software is a pain in the ... also every click in the menu and changing into compute mode absolute horror. always showing message "not reacting" .... and then wait another 40 seconds and again and again and again and again .... big mistake to start mining with rx 400/500 series

One thing they don't tell you. Safe mode doesn't work when your account is linked with microsoft. Which means that the pin you use to log in will not work, nor will the wifi and network options either.
If you boot into safe mode with networking then this isn't an issue.

I just wanna add a bit more, because I had an extra error when I went to install new drivers and found a fix:
Error 195 - AMD Software Installer Cannot Continue Because It Is Unable to Access the Required Web Resources
If you get this. I got you.
You will be unable to use the auto installer, but don't worry, it's just a few extra steps to do it manually.
1. Go to www.amd.com/en/support . If you know your Graphics Card, skip to step 3.
2. If you DON'T know what your graphics card is, you can find out one of two ways. A. By looking directly at your graphics card, there will be a sticker on it somewhere. Or B. type dxdiag into the windows search bar. When that program opens, click "Display". The Info next to "Name:" is your graphics card.
3. Find your graphics card and click "Submit"
4. Click your version of windows and download the driver. THIS file comes with the driver itself, so it doesn't need to fetch anything online.
5. Install and run, restarting PC when prompted.
Set to go! After restarting, best way to verify install is to simply right click on your desktop. if you see AMD at the top of the right click menu, you're all set to game. Go get your ass kicked!
Now I have this problem on 23.10.2 I uninstall with ddu and install driver twice still its closing itself lol.
After I deleted the AMD file I went to the uninstall settings and tried to uninstall the AMD software and it says windows cannot find it?

Yeah, I'm on adrenalin 23.9.3 and it won't open. I've done multiple uninstall and fresh installs using DDU and a newly downloaded driver. I've done everything I can possibly think of, or that google has suggested.

1. Delete AMD (Not Chipset)
2. Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and unzip into desktop (for convenience)
3. Boot into Safe mode
4. Use DDU to uninstall Driver
5. Reinstall driver
To make it even easier without any potential confrontations have the latest driver for your graphics card pre downloaded, and just before you boot into safe mode turn off the Wi-Fi so you don’t give windows the opportunity too download a driver.

Man, you saved my bacon! Thanks and subscribed! My only glitch was that apparently I have my documents backed up on dropbox cloud only, so even dragging them to the desktop meant that I only had placeholders on the computer and in safe mode with no Internet or dropbox i could not access the original files. I had to restart without safe mode and put the files on my archive Drive D, And restart in safe mode from there.

Thanks for the walkthrough . Experienced a crash during a racing game then , boom. None of my additional displays would register. Only my main display. Then Radeon Software wouldnt open, so I figured the drivers corrupted.

You don't need to facing install the entire thing just perform roll back through Divice manager or go into your appdata and delete the CN folder.
