Who are these vehicles intended for? The xjs was a failure. This guy is unlikable. This is a cyber truck for Balenciaga buyers, with even less practicality and utility.
Jaguar got a bit of stick for lack of reliability and poor durability, but never was the brand such a laughing stock. They say "copy nothing" yet these proportions are not unlike the Maybach concepts from a few years ago. I question if they will make it to market.
Correct. That is what they want. Not just OnlyFans, but every millionaire footballer, youtuber, tiktoker, gen Z'er, bitcoin collector etc will all be wanting one. The rest of us can't afford one.
Well they’ve got our attention, that’s for sure. I had a 3 Litre 6 cylinder Jag 4wd in a lovely Royal Blue metallic. Great car. These electric blocks, I’m not so sure. They do not want their increasingly older customer base any more. Sad but true.
Don't hate on electric powertrains. They're better than ICE in every way. I do wish Jag didn't do this with their new EV line though - dragging everyone through the mud.
Electric cars are a fad, the same reason they did not became somewhat mainstrem back in the 80s is the same as today, the battery loses chaging capacity over time, and can/will explode, all manufactures say this in the fine print, they are not green in any way also, since the batteries aren´t recyclable, Elon Musk only sold the "idea" of the electric car, not the car itself. You know what´s gree? Not buying a car every two or three years, use it well for as long as possible.
Horrible, there is no inspiration in the design, in my opinion it is a desperate copy of a Rolls Royce with a Cybertruck theme, I feel that they went back to the concept cars of the early 2000s. And my God, that logo, it does not inspire anything either, a cheap copy of Opificio Font Family
I like the concept car, hate the marketing. If we hadn't seen that stupid advert last month and this car was revealed in different colours I bet the reaction would new completely different.
The funniest thing would be if not even one of these were sold . Instead of speaking all this crap, trying to sell an idea.. (a load of bollocks by the way) Try to give an actual car that people would put up posters about in their rooms, like young boys and girls used to back in the day! Why not make a few more high performance sports cars, that dound like jaguars on ignition, exhaust notes etc. This one though , not even the LGBTQ+ community would drive around (if they afford it)
One of the first rules (of many first rules) of business is Know Your Customer. Another first rule is Know Your Competitor. Who represents the market for this?! Did they do ANY market analysis on this? Are any of the competing car companies trying to aim for the same car buying demographic? The car looks like it was conceived by a 12 year-old, their "copy nothing" design is mostly copied from other cars, and it looks more like Matchbox or Hot Wheels or a pinewood derby car than a Jaguar. You could paint it black and put bat fins on the back maybe. The rear grill looks like it belongs on an air conditioner, not to mention a certain insuation of a pink sports car with a large opening in the rear. EV technology has a bad reputation already (the car's flaming in more ways than one). The puke pink color is an anti-sales device, most men wouldn't be caught cremated in that thing. And the new, rounded, and wimpy "jaguar" logo would be an embarassment for a member of the traditional sports-car-buying demographic. As far as what's happened to Jaguar, it's nuts and feels more like a flaming blaze of glory before they disappear into history -- for whom the gods destroy they first render insane.
Let me guess…the pink is for men and blue is for the ladies? Epic marketing fail Jaguar. Marketing students of the future will study your epic re-branding fail as a case study showcasing how a luxury brand was killed by those who didn’t understand what Jaguar stands for to consumers. You are talking to your special selves…not your target audience who will now be forced to leave you.
I like both the logo and the car. It’s the woke stuff and pretending this a complete revolution instead of the bold evolution that it really is….that has incensed many. But that outrage has also translated into massive attention….so far, it could be argued that this launch has been a massive success? How else do you get Musk, the owner of both X and Tesla (your main competitor) to tell everyone about your new electric cars? Divide and conquer…the British way!
I’ll just simply say I like it! Different and new sure. I’ve owned roadsters, 4 door sedans, and muscle cars. Maybe now I’m not Jaguars target customer and it may not be 100% for me today, but I admire this rad new direction!
Where is mr.he/him ceo, who wanted to sue the entire world because his/him gay feelings were somewhat shattered by reality and people's opinions ?!!! 😂😂😂😂
Even the sloppiest Syd Mead study has more potential, charme, style and knowhow than this. But if you work and exist in a bubble, you don‘t get it. Btw., wondering why they kept the wheels round.
This car looks terrible…. It’s not “modern design” - rather, it’s what happens in the absence of any design at all. How dare Jaguar rape the memory of a long and illustrious history… And how dare they not only forsake, but ridicule their former customers by proposing to make something that almost none of them would be seen dead driving. This discordant offering explains exactly why Jaguar are on the cusp of bankruptcy: It’s management are blind to what customers want; deaf to criticism of its obscene decision making abilities; and dumb in the extreme to have wasted years dreaming up a concept car that will have to be totally deconstructed and rebuilt differently within 18months of actual production. This freak-show is fine for a start-up company - with no legacy or reputation on the line. And by people who have never previously achieved commercial success in anything But by wilfully omitting to incorporate absolutely any of Jaguar’s erstwhile successes into this product refresh, shows a total disregard for what made Jaguar a company that some people (admittedly far fewer than in the era of the E-Type, XJS etc) passionately aspire to drive. There’s nothing more stupid than an idiot proclaiming they know what the future will bring… and which path leads thereto. The board of directors should all resign. The “anti-designer” be given a box of Waitrose own brand baked beans and told to go make sure the appropriate shelf is well stocked. And the investors should demand compensation. Perhaps an infinite number of monkeys, given a similarly large amount of time could type the complete works of Shakespeare. But it clearly only took the merest fraction of a second for one of our nearest cousins to vomit up this monstrosity. If Jaguar really are going to shaft us like this, then at least they should promise to include a free packet of cigarettes with every Type Nothing-Squared sold so that we can at least have a much needed smoke once said act of depravity is over…
Put yourself in the driver’s seat for a few minutes…. Then ask yourself “can I see clearly out the front, side and ESPECIALLY rear 3/4 and rear?” That’s a No. This concept car is just that. If you want to buy a new Jag, just get a Cadillac
Let me start with that I have owned 3 E-type roadsters in my life so I kind of know my stuff, a little bit at least. Yes, Jaguars in the old days were bold design statements, but not only. They were often the fruits of engineer ingenuity and presented progressive technical solutions. Yes, they not so seldom had quality issues but they were also miles ahead of their competition in certain areas. They were also incredibly sexy, well-proportioned and utterly desirable objects, or if you like, accessories. And so the pro´s managed to overweight the contra´s. You simply wanted to own a Jaguar at some time in your life, and when you did, it was a highly emotional experience. And you yourself looked elegant, desirable and sexy driving one regardless if you were a lady or a bloke or even: regardless if you were a jetset millionaire or a villain! It all started to fade away after Ford took over, and Jaguar couldn´t recover since, frankly. This new car is a bold statement, yes. But, for me at least, it stops there. I disregard here from the "woke" ad and the monotonous and nervous intro of McGovern, I want to concentrate on the car. For me the visuals are a blend of striking and banal. And that alone with the combination of a logo that has no strenght, an engine that has no soul (like all EVs) leaves me cold. A bit like what Jezza said about the Ferrari 812 (I think it was): "I admire it, but I don´t love it." In this case, I don´t even admire it, let alone love it. I don´t desire it. The whole package is emotionless (well, just look at the face of those people in the ad, or just listen to McGovern...). I just can´t fall in love with overdone grill lines the same way I do with voluptuos wheel arches, and even if I am fond of long bonnets I don´t want to be seen in a car that immediately hints compensation issues. And without emotions you don´t sell volumes. For me it is a very expensive appliance that I would never be able to bond with. Alao, with appliances I want practicallity and durability for a reasonable price. And this car doesn´t qualify there either.
It looks sleek and solid. I love the proportions and the detail work. It looks down to it's essence. I would even "erase" few more details knowing that will cut it boldly from the recent trends in car design - namely very busy designs with thousands of fenders N spoilers, fake exausts and all sorts of crap attached to a 4 door cars oriended towards excessive practicality over any kind of aesthetics, road performance or excitement. I think they try to reerect the already dead automotive design.
See description for details 🏁
@TheWheelNetwork Are you sure we are interesting for the description on this case?
I triple checked, but it is not April 1
😂😂😂
Concepts rarely look like the actual car.
This reminds me of that time I ordered a cosmopolitan for my wife 20 years ago.
This is the dumbest thing ever, just launch that car then overcharge the customer for woke performance.
Anyone who uses "woke" and means it is more pathetic than the far left.
Emotionally charged weak people are easy to overcharge.
Like how big of a chump must one be?
The difference is Bowie and Westwood didn't go around forcing ideology and calling critics dumb bigots.
spot on sir
If their ads weren't "woke" maybe the public would still forgive these strange shapes and colors.
My thoughts exactly
Who are these vehicles intended for? The xjs was a failure. This guy is unlikable. This is a cyber truck for Balenciaga buyers, with even less practicality and utility.
Except that Cybertruck is selling like hotcakes. This won't sell at all.
XJS was a failure? Were you even born then?
Even the host felt like he didn't want to be there.
I think it looking cool.
Something new/different!
Jaguar got a bit of stick for lack of reliability and poor durability, but never was the brand such a laughing stock. They say "copy nothing" yet these proportions are not unlike the Maybach concepts from a few years ago. I question if they will make it to market.
Barbie car for onlyfans millionaires. This isn't the car for most of us.
Correct. That is what they want. Not just OnlyFans, but every millionaire footballer, youtuber, tiktoker, gen Z'er, bitcoin collector etc will all be wanting one. The rest of us can't afford one.
Neither was E-Type
Spot on
Don't insult British creativity with these pieces of crap.
I'd get the blue one. Space grey would be nice.
a futuristic comic-style car-a mashup of Velar class, vintage charm, and Cybertruck edge-repping as a food car serving up ice cream and pastries
Woke Meets Broke. Can't wait to see the numbers.
Of course it's pink.
😄
Not just any pink. Miami Pink. And London Blue lol
@spikephotography Lovely! 😍
For many years this brand manifactured brutal cars for real man , now is just a pink car.
Pathetic stupidity
@@geotheo6455then buy the blue one
Apart from the shape and colour, what innovation is there ?
🤔

"I'm here to turn Jaguar around, with these new cars."
"With those POS's, your company is done!"
I don't want to be a hater,, but I fuckin hate it.
And I am a proud hater because I am not ashamed, that I have a different opinion than the rest of the human plankton 🤷♂️

I like the concept car, hate the marketing. If we hadn't seen that stupid advert last month and this car was revealed in different colours I bet the reaction would new completely different.
If they marketed it differently people wouldn't be nearly as outraged. I kinda dig the pink tbh. The interior is dogshit though
No one's paying £120k for that fridge
The only person he is trying to convince with this word salad waffle is himself,
For someone who says they don't want to conform to anything, they referenced 'great British..' an awful lot.
Pax Britannica!
It’s got an Allegro steering wheel for that hint of traditional British excellence.
😄
The car looks awesome
👀👀👀👀
Fridge.
"...object of desire" Is there anyone in the hall or did everyone run away?
I believe in a British Green this vehicle will look great only in coupe version.
Are the wheel arches unspung weight? a strechy fabric or something? Or it's just a concept thing without working suspension?
Worse than the time Herbert let Homer design a car
feels like an acid trip. support your creativity!
> great British brand
> should I say soccer
Also for someone who has led a team to scrapped a brand's history, he sure does talk a lot about history
This all feels like a really bad fever dream

No, it must be a huge troll, cannot possible to present a horror like that in 2024 as a Jaguar. I'll be waiting the real new Jaguar.
It’s literally a car from Cyberpunk 2077 😂
Cyberpink
Chinese design? This sealed Jaguar's swan song. A little pink with a lot of tutu.
Copy nothing ❌ Copy air conditioners ✅
Ignore your history, lose your presence.
No one's buying Jaguar when it inevitably gets sold for $1
tell me how it happened that silver bullets turned into chamber pots

Ego driven design. Let’s get rid of the years of brand DNA and completely start over. Who is going to drive this? Horrible
Looks great, I get the philosophy. These people whining about it are giving them what they want and I love it.
No Tesla influence there "copy nothing" not even a cyber truck rear takes ques from a 20 year old Chrysler roadster
Looks like a box, the one they’ll bury the company in
Wasn't this Batwoman's car from that terrible TV show?
Very good!
The front of the car is inspired by the dial of the Patek Philippe Nautilus which is also the same watch he wears.
copy nothing . . oh apart from my watch and my A/C unit . . . .

I'm living the worst era of automobilism
Does it come in black?
The logo corresponds to two canes. Jaguar will need them.
The last ever JaGUar😅concept car. RIP it was nice knowing you beautiful cat.
Make it black, put the Jaguar logo, delete the creepy Ads, and then maybe you can be forgiven.
Great concept. Lots of nice little design details. Interesting color schemes. Not mainstream. I like it very much.
that appeals to me a lot👍...even if I can't afford such a car, nor can I afford a corresponding lifestyle, I wish Jaguar much success
00, is exactly right. I now have 00 interest in the marque. It is truly is dull and depressing.
I’ll just simply say I like it! Different and new sure. I’ve owned roadsters, 4 door sedans, and muscle cars. Maybe now I’m not Jaguars target customer and it may not be 100% for me today, but I admire this rad new direction!
Wow. Can't read three comments without the word "woke". Something tells me the Tesla bros are out in full force on this one.
Wait until it got the deep black paint and a V8 engine
They cooked this up the day before the presentation.
I mean, it would look pretty nice in black or silver.
Where is mr.he/him ceo, who wanted to sue the entire world because his/him gay feelings were somewhat shattered by reality and people's opinions ?!!!

His new pronouns are the same as jaGuar... was/were

Well, here's to another historic brand sold to Stellantis and later discontinued.
Isnt Tata the owner of Jaguar? Or you heard news of Tata thinking to sell Jaguar off?
@manwell235 no man. The joke is stellantis buys everything, tries to make it work but just makes it worse.
@@M.T.... oh i get it. Thanks and i agree stellantis deserved to be a joke for the ways they ruined brands like Opel, Ram, Peugeot & Alfa
and thus begins the bankruptcy of jaGUar
It's horrible
Unreal …amazing.

This car is a disaster @@TheWheelNetwork
New and different only matters when it’s better. This is not that. Not to my eye.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse than the rebrand and ad campaign. What an absolute disgrace.
It looks sleek and solid. I love the proportions and the detail work. It looks down to it's essence. A car designed with a bunch of vertical and horizontal lines. That's it.
What grotesque aberration did I just see??? If what Jaguar is trying to do is go bankrupt, this is going to happen.

I thought it was beautiful, it looks a lot like a car from the game Burnout.
After all that hype: 16K views and 200 comments after 48 hours. Well that was disastrous.
All they did was beef up a crossfire. It's exactly a crossfire, except it's like a three year old molded it with clay
The presenter sounds bored, uninterested and little ashamed he's there. I don't blame him, quite relateable to be honest...
😂😂 now jaguar is a trolling material
Boring, i expected something more glamorous, but the question is? Who is it for????
Reminds me of my custom aluminum keyboard with brass inlay
I love it... And I'm not even gay
