Wow now that outro gave me some HEAVY nostalgia. I absolutely love how this game changed me as a kid and i really appreciate frontier for their passion of the entire rollercoaster genre.
yo same that song was put somewhere in my memory apparently because i recognised it almost immediatly even though i havent played this game in probably at least 10 years
I remember when a friend came over and downloaded the trial for me and I would play it over and over since it was only 40 minutes at a time. I ran across Dasmatze's Cool Things video and I make crazy coasters that didn't make sense with the few coasters provided. One day in fourth grade we had the book fair and to my surprise RCT3 Platinum was sitting on the center table and I used all the money I had to buy the game. One day I stumbled upon SVT305's farewell to his Vista Ridge park and quickly after, Silvarratt's channel. That's when I realized realism was a thing in the game and started making realistic parks. It sparked this my channel and strengthened my love for amusements parks. The RCT3 community changed my life and It's been one hell of a journey. It was sand to see the community die over time but It was very inspirational at its prime!
I think the early days of the internet made it so unique too. Nowadays the internet is so ubiquitous, but back then the RCT3 online community felt so special to me.
When I watched your first Planet Coaster video I never thought about the fact that you maybe also played thousands of hours in RCT3 but when I saw your first video about the new Ultimate Edition it all came to mind. Back in the days I spend so many hours in this game and watching this videos right now just gives me chills. So awesome!
Man, it feels like this game never ages it still looks great for the time in my opinion and the community was and still is one of the most supportive communities for any video game period. Great video keep up the amazing content!
While RCT3 was released in 2004, the "Coasterball" ride was included in Wild, which launched in October 2005. The first Zac Spin, according to RCDB, opened in 2007. I remember seeing something around the time of Wild's release that said a number of coasters included that were based on prototypes. I can't find where it was though.
I absolutely love the little town below, and the looming castle. I'm playing a DnD campaign basically inspired by Dracula (Cure of Strahd) and this absolutely transports me to that.
Dude, Alloria was THE best in vanilla RCT3. I remember almost all of his mega-parks, and the jazzy music. He stopped uploading content when Roller Coaster World and PlanCo launched.
alloria actually used to do this trick where he saved scenery parts as theming for flat rides to get around the hitboxes. he used to always use the launch tower if I remember right, not sure why. they might have patched it in this though
Nice castle design. The smaller station building, trees, and hills really compliment the main castle, which is quite complex in itself. I have always liked to experiment with the environment, buildings, and landscapes. They did an excellent job with the games features. I didn't use the fireworks much, but I really liked the laser light shows.
Silv I've been a quiet member of the rct3 community for over 8 years now, I've never published any of my creations tho, maybe someday I will, in any case thanks for always being a wonderful source of entertainment and also motivation to keep playing this awesome game, greetings from Costa Rica
I remember building a vanilla park together with my husband in RCT3. We decided to upload some screenshots on either the Atari forums or on ShyGuysWorld (I think it was SGW), and everyone really liked it, some were even saying it was the best use of the in-game pieces they've seen. BUT, soooo many people got seriously upset with us because we hadn't written a back story for the park, we just posted the pics, lol. We weren't involved in the community at all, just played for fun and decided to share some of the stuff we'd made, and basically got roasted so bad, not because the build was bad, but because we didn't follow the strict "rules" the community had come up with.. we never posted there again, lol
Completely agree on the community and inspirational side of RCT3!! I have been getting more re-involved with RCT3 now and feel almost "back at home" addicted again. I'm just not talented enough (nor do I have the type of tiime-creativity balance) to do much with Planet coaster. But PlanCo definitely has its own perks. I think if all the rides and organization of RCT3 was brought over to PlanCo I'd only play PlanCo, but frontier doesn't think that way. I don't know anything about modding, and it crashed my computer, but I really enjoyed some of the modded rides (like from "revolutionary rides").
I'm so glad to see you doing RCT3 again, I found your channel after Nerdcubed done a shout-out during his RCT3 series and im glad he did, your builds are insane 😁
Oh my god this video and the outtro cover brought back so many memories. This game is basically the whole reason why I love theme parks today. Such a cool coaster; I never got into the CS community that much outside of some trees and a ton of custom rides, so I was interested to see how you'd combine sets. I wasn't at all disappointed. ;)
Yeaahhh! I love your rct3 projects! It's nostalgic and you don't use cs what makes it more interresting! It's still fun to play also bc yoi can build a zoo and swimming pools
Even if you don’t do them as often please continue these! I love Planet Coaster but this has been a huge time killer for me on Switch with my daughter! I love the inspiration
It is so great watching those rct3 videos because this game was a huge part of my childhood. I really would like to see more of this, it is great stuff ;)
This video made me remember when I was little and didn't understand much about computers and a friend bought one of those PC-games magazine that came with a lot of demo games, one of which was the first Roller Coaster Tycoon. Since it was a demo, I think it automatically closed in about 20~30 minutes of park building, and only had two scenarios, but we had SO MUCH FUN with it. We kind of never understood why the game closed, because well, we didn't know nothing of english when we were 10 years old xD So we always thought this was how the game worked haha
Wow that's insane dude i'm impressed!!!!! i usualy spam to the end but here i watched the whole vid, btw that ride makes me think of harry potter ride at universal studios..
I personally think people forget how much vanilla scenery there was in the expanded editions of Rct3. Especially the fact that a lot of people uses mods for this game.
I honestly think that the camera in RCT3 is still better than PC's, there's just something about the choppyness and physics of PC's that bugs me too much to use
RCDb says that Kirbu and Inferno were opened in 2007, but it’s still possible Intimin first promoted it at anIAPPA much earlier than that (I do think it was apart of Wild so if one of those did open in 2005, it was closer to reality than you give the game credit for). Also Hersheypark was supposed to get a Dizzy Drop called Turbulence in 2004, but was canceled
Very cool. I just have a couple gripes with this game when getting creative: you can't make walls or fences between 2 pathways like in rct1 and 2 (REALLY limits creating custom structure) and it's really tough making a smooth coaster. Also handling terrain when building really grinds my gears. A tile will be unnoticeably lifted by a centimeter and screws me up when building.
wait.. Fireworks in rct3 better than pc? i saw call me kevin do costum firework where it explode and it spell "FECK". the only better rtc3 than pc is that rtc3 has waterpark and zoo expansion.
My gf lives near the Bran Castle. romania is awesome and legitimately kinda creepy in some places. Those dark catholic churches and gypsy architecture dont help with its odd appearance.. Still not sure how they got the idea for Dracula from Vlad the Impaler though.
Is the outro you?? It’s pretty awesome lol. When I downloaded RCT3 complete from epic the other day I spent about an hour just scrolling through all the scenery items and building items while the song was on in the background and it gave me such nostalgia
I thought they would fix the problem with game crashes if you have to much custom scenery. I was so happy last week.. I installed the game, started it for one time just to configure the most important stuff. After that I quit, installed the old scenery stuff and wanted to load one of my old maps. But everytime the game crashes.. Mainly because of to many objects. They all worked on my old computer but the new gaming pc (not new anymore but okay..) could never handle it. Even now it's just not possible. Do you have any ideas why this is happening or what I could do?
I'm sorry, I'm going through the same! One limitation of RCT3 is that even though most computers now have much more, the game can only access 1 or 2 GB of RAM. You could use a program called Large Address Aware to try to force RCT3 to use more RAM.
When I zoom out my rides dissapear, my pc can handle planet coaster on max, but this game doesn't run as smooth. Tips? Nice coaster b.t.w. rct3 is my youth :)

“I was asked to do something with the spooky theme. I’m still not entirely sure why.”
Halloween is in a couple weeks that’s probably why.
Lol, that's actually exactly why. Thanks, I totally forgot, but that's definitely what they told me :')
Silvarret last two Parkitect scenarios in time for Halloween? 🤞 Last one is a spooky island 🎃
Shit, you're right, I have to do Zalgonia in time for Halloween. I'll try!
Epic! It's been fun revisiting this game this week. I didn't know there were this many scenery pieces in the game!
This! I never really played with in-game scenery, so discovering all of that is kinda fun in and of itself
pun intended?
@@evilpigeonsify haha whoops
@@Silvarret yeah I'll have to explore more of the scenery especially now that the complete edition includes both DLCs!
RCT3 is still the best game of all the games

I love this game. It was a massive part of my childhood and I am glad to see it's back. Now, if I could get the CS to work...
CS still works, the style/themed folder is just in Steam data now.

Your last rct3 video actually got me back in playing rct3 again, and i thank you for that
the nostalgia is immense
i love that you're making some rct3 videos, pretty much the birthplace of love for roller coaster games, keep these videos up love em :)))

I'm so glad Frontier beat Atari and got their money. I can't believe Atari still exists. It's always been a terrible company in my opinion.
As amazing as planet coaster is I don't think any roller coaster sim will ever touch RCT3. It was perfect.
So glad to see the BEST game of my childhood back. The nostalgia is real

Thanks for the great RCT3 video, Silv! :)
Thanks Joël, have a nice evening!
Gotta love the RCT3 music in the background
RCT3 looks so dated at this point that its kind of charming. The low poly low resolution textures just FEEL like the early 2000s
One thing i don't like about RCT3 is the track is still a little bit stiff
Thanks for the steampunk thinks, which you have made. I made a steampunk coaster and it's helps me alot
Can you make next a planet coaster
the return of the king!
Thanks! I randomly found this video and got my favorite game for free! Didn’t even know about epic game store lol
Great timing. I just got home

This game was literally my childhood although I wasn’t very good with scenery I still loved making coaster
I'm a Mac user so I can only play RCT3 and for me these videos are gold!!
