Haha NICE! I just searched cinematic gym video to show my nephew what vibe we're going for to do a "low key" exercise scene. AND look who it is! great stuff man!
This is amazing quality! Curious if you’d recommend the a7c or the a7riii for videos like this? I don’t have enough money for the a7riv And it seems it has a lot better video than the riii
dear Jacques thanks for this great video, i'm wondering if i see a denoise over the images with the look or i'm wrong, can you tell me ? it looks like there is a nice soft and smoothy effect ontop but i do not see mist or similar on camera . thanks
Thanks brother! I shoot everything in S-Log3 on PP8 (Detail -7). Here's a video with some of my grading in S-Log3 ruclips.net/video/LOlke1wncoU/видео.html
Thanks so much for the response! Very helpful! Do you think it’s a good idea to use the Atomos Ninja V and just record onto there? Instead of expensive SD cards? Or both and? Just trying to figure out what’ll be the best solution for the best results with the Sony A7iv. Thanks so much bro
@@JeanGerber Cool man you're welcome! Honestly I think in the long run it's cheaper to shoot on SD Cards. For the majority of the work I do I don't need those massive file sizes that come with ProRes on the Ninja and the Hard Drive space will eventually cost you more than SD cards :) If you have a big project the best practice would be to shoot on both and use the ProRes as the main footage and the SD as backup.
Great video... I would be interested in knowing the ISO and the shutter speed used for the various shots. You captured the tension and the efforts really well...
Thank you so much! I shot everything at ISO 800 except for two shots at 3200. Shutter speed was 50 for my 25 FPS shots and 100 for the two slowmotion shots at 50 FPS.
If someone can answer me I would really appreciate. Can you help me out by telling me which lens to buy for a6400 mainly for Fitness ( low light condition ) gym shoot ?
Honestly, very little. Even with the fast movements I did not encounter problems on this shoot but on fast left and right pan's it becomes more apparent.

Awesome as usual! I have no doubts Sony made a new incredible lens, but we all can see this amazing work with lighting, color and filming. ;)

Powerful camera work👍
Great work🔥
Wow, glad you think so. Thank you!
Beautiful video! What is the gimbal you are using in the BTS shots at the end? The one you are gripping on both sides of the camera.
Thanks a ton! It's actually not a gimbal, it's a rig with side handles from SmallRig. The link is in the description of the BTS video.
Are you using a pro mist filter?
I’d like the answer to this aswel
Stunning
Thank you Romain!
Your job looks so fun :) Nice work man!

Damn, Amazing!! I cannot believe that footage has taking by F4
Thanks Chris, not all the shots were on the F4 though, only 3 to be exact. The rest was filmed on the 35mm F/1.4
You are very talented

Wow, this is outstanding work, Jacques!!

Very nice.. I just wish to see her face a bit more in the final shot. But I couldn't do this any better.

Thanks mate! I'd say yes to the A7c, it's got better colors than the a7III/rIII and in 25 FPS 4K you'll get a pretty decent image!
great video. how's your experience with this camera. I have the pocket 6k but the new sony A74 really push me to maybe go get it.
Thanks Pascal, I love the A7IV, in terms of usage it's much easier than black magic and honestly the image is on par with most cinema cameras!
@@jacques_crafford did it overheat on you? What lense did you use for the best autofocus speed? Overheat is my biggest issue with it

those lights are illuminating what did you use as a source?
You mean as a power source? The tubes all ran of their internal batteries

What did you use to create the anamorphic look
Aaah it was just a crop and some fake anamorphic flares :)

Yaaay thanks!
what anamorphic flares did you use to add into the video?
It's called "Lens Reflections" in DaVinci Resolve
Jacques in 1080HD 10bit Super 35mm crop mode can the Sony A74 do 120fps. Because I know that in full HD 1080 10 bit in S&Q mode it can do 120fps.
To be honest I haven't tried it yet, I don't have the A7IV with me right now.
