I hope this video isn't too far out of left field! :D Pretty nervous actually what you all think. In any case, if you're in the mood for something lighter, here's a little vlog from the first interview: ruclips.net/video/LwxH8DPjbn0/видео.html&
Good day I cant find the link for your research, want to help by filling in your questions, Also thanks for great video and your help personally in answering question, really appreciate it.
I LOVE YOUR MINDSET ON UNIVERSITY!!! I so wish many people would think of it in this way and then truly decide if higher education is truly what they NEED in life to do what they want to do in their future career. Your thesis is AMAZING! I LOVE IT! I'm SOOOOOOOO beyond proud of you and where you have gotten too. Not a lot of people can say they got their masters let alone in a completely different language. Your future is infinite Loretta! We're celebrating hardcore for your graduation!!!!
Your post pretty much shows what you are like. I'm sure your eloquent use of such gems as "dumb fk mentality" will reveal your inner trashy self to most readers. I pity you for the future life you will live.
Lol Mike are you ok? You sound really immature, and I don't know why you feel the right to sit on a high horse. If nobody should improve themselves whether it is for " future prospects and monetary reasons" or otherwise, we would all still be living in caves, using primal technology. And that means that trolls like you will never get the chance to talk shit about people just to feel good about yourself (which it seems you are so fond of)
I suppose success, to you, is money. That part was easy. True fulfillment is something you may not understand until your deathbed. Until then, you'll just yearn for something unknown to you.
I’m 13 and black like you and learning Japanese, it’s very fun and also very hard for many reasons. The thing is I can’t really memorize the characters!! I watch you to help me memorize Japanese which is amazing!! Thank you so much!!! You may not see this but a t least I put this out there
I'm thirteen, too. You should try learning from Tae Kim's Complete Guide to Japanese. It's wonderful... And free! I'm currently on Compound Sentences in Japanese.
That thesis sounds really mature, I’m sure the people who gave you that scholarship would be proud 😂 coming from a gr12, so take that with a grain of salt, but that’s much more complex than I would have thought, as well very relevant.
I love the idea behind your thesis! I've never been to Japan, but I'm studying Korean and one good case that immediately comes to mind is k-beauty brand Innisfree's expansion to the US market. It's a huge example of what to do correctly when expanding to the global market. A lot of Korean beauty brands in New York City basically picked up the exact same shops and etc and plopped it down in the US, with an English sticker on some things; no US marketing at all, hardly any American staff. I'm willing to BET that Innisfree hired a ton of help entering the market here last year. They expanded their makeup shade ranges to dark colors, hired diverse models, started separate social media accounts for the US customers, and much more. Just the fact that I can wear their foundation is a big step forward in terms of globalization, imo
I love you for two reasons now. The first, you went to school in VA (so did I!) and the second thing is that you moved to Japan! I am tryng to get the MEXT scholarship to do biomedical research and you're truly an inspiration for me. Oh, also, I'm 28 and will probably be moving to Japan at 29/30. So awesome. Congrats on everything you've accomplished thus far. I hope your thesis will be available in English as some point...it sounds fascinating. It reminds me of a documentary I recently watched where Starbucks was analyzed. Starbucks failed to take off in Australia because they assumed the same strategy they used in the U.S. would automatically work in Australia. They did not consider that Australia's coffee culture is more sophisticated than that of the U.S. In fact, Australians consider Starbucks to be garbage, lol. Their new strategy is to market the brand to tourists. Anyway, congrats again!
Thank you for making this video! Next year I'm applying to Kyoto University and Osaka University and I'm nervous cause not many people go abroad to Japan for undergraduate. From one New Yorker to another, thank you very much!
Alex Solivan Kyoto University is second one in Japan but down over there are so no morals... please don’t be judge when you get to know at those both uni, very different in than Tokyo University. Or what about YMCA instead of Kyoto or Osaka if you cannot apply for Tokyo University.
Best of luck to you!! If you end up at Kyoto we can be old school rivals (mine was Doshisha during undergraduate). Have a bagel for me and keep your head up!

It’s has opened a lot of doors for me here and now I’m working entirely in Japanese in a Japanese company and am loving it. Just subscribed! Love from Osaka and good luck!!
Thank you for this. I have had a desire to live and learn in Japan since I was a kid. I am now 30 and after years of putting my life and education on hold so I could be here for family members that needed the support, I want to attend a Japanese University with the intent of getting both an Engineering degree, and entry-level acceptance into becoming a full-time resident of Japan. These videos help motivate me to not give up. Good luck!
I watched your videos so many years ago before I came to Japan. I did my undergraduate degree here, worked a few (soul-crushing) years in a Japanese office, and next month I'm starting my MBA in Japan too (somewhere in Kyoto). You're an inspiration. You chose a difficult path, and I hope it pays off!
Seriously I thought she was early 20's at the max....though I wish I had her language skill. I've been studying for a year and a half and feel stuck since I don't have much way to use and practice it practically
I recently started university for Linguistics and I’ll be minoring in Japanese. There are a lot of reasons for me getting this BA. Mostly, to study Japanese formally, and to be able to get a work visa in Japan and hopefully do something involving Japanese rather than being an English teacher. I was considering a masters degree in the future, and you’ve definitely made me consider doing the MEXT program. I really find you to be inspiring, Loretta :) Good luck with your research! Also, 誕生日おめでとう!
I won't rant about all the bad stuff that is happening in these months in regards to picking a university, but I really wanted to thank you. I'm ugly crying in a corner of my room because your words were what I really needed to hear ♥️
Your english is actually really good! I plan on going to a University in Japan for IT tech, so I could maybe make a living there. I’m studying the Japanese language and Culture, Japanese people seem so nice and respectful I just want to do the same for them! I’m deciding still if I’m gonna be living in Japan or not, I’m just really worried about people staring since I’m American. I’m trying to encourage myself as much as I can so I don’t give up on this, Japan seems so cool even if I don’t make it there I’ll still respect Japan as much as I do now!
I am over here cracking up at Kirby’s movements behind you. 😭😭😭 Happy early birthday! I understand exactly why you did what you did. Thanks so much for this video.
Thank you SO MUCH for this insightful talk! As a highschooler in Canada graduating next year, I was having this exact conversation with my dad, and after all these years BELIEVING that going to university was so obvious, all of a sudden, I started to question myself why I wanted to go to university! First of all, I didn't and still don't know what to do. I like to dip my feet in different areas and see what interests me, but I still am not 100% sure. Watching this video allowed me to realize that I don't have to follow what everyone else does and everyone is unique and individual :) ありがとうロレッタ!
Very insightful. I'm sharing with my daughter who's now on her 3rd year living and studying in Japan (advance Animation). She had the same reasons for choosing to study there when she could have had an easier path had she chosen other Animation schools in English-speaking countries like Australia, US, London or even nearby Singapore. My sense is that you'll not only pass but will graduate with Honors.
this is so perfect, thank you!! I'm almost 25 and I've been stuck for the past two years deciding how to make my way back to Japan. I tried the ESL route as soon as I graduated university, but it never worked out and I'm honestly glad, because I am not teacher material haha but now I don't know whether or not I should attempt a graduate program or just simply attend a language school, but after hearing your honest opinion I think I'm closer to making my decision :) congrats on making it this far!!! your hard work is inspiring.
Looking forward to the results!!! Keep up with the great work!!! You make me very proud and hopeful to one day being able to speak Japanese as fluently as you do :). Best of luck in all your endeavours!!!
Oh my gosh I’ve been following you and never knew you were a William & Mary Alumni. This is so funny because I’m currently majoring in Government/Political Science and Japanese Studies at the same school. It’s such a small world lol.
You're so inspirational. 💕 Thank you for being so cool and I 100% agree with everything you said, now I'll go do my best in college, I start this fall :,)
Fantastic video. I'm from the USA as well and about to finish my undergrad in the UK, and I'm considering coming to Japan for an MA in International Relations afterwards. Some really great points made in this video to take into consideration, thank you!
Woah. I’m glad I found this video. Your points about schools and learning and social circles really opened my eyes. I will be going to college soon, and none of my family has experienced college. This is useful and interesting information.
The survey is now closed! Thank you so much to everyone who participated! The research and finished paper should be completed by January 2019. Can't wait to share it but until then, it's time for me to write write write! :)
Preach! anyways, I thought it was obvious and you mentioned that your school was paid for with scholorships. since you're planning to work in Japan, it would just be a great bonus and show your dedication for getting a Masters in a traditional Japanese high end collage.
I just want to say I scrolled through your channel and I really like your drawing! Something I think is very hard is to always have an "air" to your drawings, a presense and a personality, a vibe to your people drawings and you seem to have that which is just really cool. I wish you all the best. ^^
Hey i just found these videos. I like them a lot. I have lived in Japan for 10 years and have been thinking of doing a masters as of late. Good luck with everything.
I think this is a really important video for me, I study International Business in the Netherlands (bachelors in BA as well), and I have so many goals and ambitions that I can’t pinpoint and focus on one thing... Your thesis topic is super interesting, I’m genuinely inspired to change some things, and made up my mind about some big decisions I have to make. Thank you so much for putting this video on the internet and sharing your life and thoughts!
Yep literally all these things. I wish it were more transparent in the States on the issue of universities and pedigree. I haven’t been following for long as a subscriber but I love your insight Loretta and がんばって!
I subbed once I realized you didn’t do this straight out of high school. My friend and I are 25 and this year we are researching international schools.
Loretta, you are right! Especially in America, I guess. That’s why I’d like the entire university system to change. I believe it should be totally free as in certain European countries and it should be based on what you can learn, not on what you could use your degree for. And also I feel like corporate society is trying to get university to care more about rankings, rather than quality education.
Learning is indeed a life-long journey. Thank you for this openhearted video. You are (were in the video) 30 and still studying. Love the attitude!! ♡♡
H O L Y F * *K. You are saying exactly what I'm thinking. After watching your videos about studying in Japan and my own life circumstances changing it's become an option for me. My own field is quality assurance (as an MBA I'm sure you know all about it). The Japanese happen to do quality really, really well especially as they recognized talent like W. Edwards Deming and Walter A. Shewhart and its made me what to go "learn from the best". However, I'm already over 30 (just but still) and I'm currently doing a QA-based post graduate diploma here in NZ. My dream if I had money and time would be to go a Japanese language school then get a QA qualification and find a Japanese manufacturer willing to take a 外国人.
Dude! Thank you so much for this. I'm going to Japan in like a week to be an English teacher(I'm a stereotype) but I primarily want to improve my Japanese level so I can apply for the MEXT because I do want a masters but I don't want to pay US prices. I just turned 24 and I felt so bad because I just got my BA in something I'm passionate about like you said. I think my masters will def be something more practical.
Woah. I'm currently working for public sector HR/Recruitment and this is FASCINATING! I''m also working on moving to finish my degree in Japan. This motivates me! I can't wait to hear more about your thesis! :D Good luck!
Your view on university and degrees is so simple yet so honest! It's something I wished I heard when I was 18 starting my first semester at community college... Like, I knew I was doing school solely for the piece of paper and networking for job opportunities, but I still didn't fully consider the scope of what I was in for and my own capabilities at the end of it. I majored in fine arts because art has always been my passion, but honestly I didn't have all that great a plan on how to actually make something of it. Just vague ideas like work for games as a modeler, do illustration, and later on in school I considered animation. But at the same time for years I struggled to overcome my anxiety to draw in the first place (and still do!). So, three years later, after graduating with my Associates in Fine Arts (and two other degrees I happened to qualify for) I was stuck. Get a job? Do more school? Where? How will I pay for it now that it's actual university? Some months later I miraculously landed a comic job I stayed at for about a year, but all my confidence in art crashed and burned along with the job by the end of it... School never quite helped me overcome my own anxieties to do art for my livelihood, so I failed to keep my job simply because of my own mental struggles... Long story short, after doing some soul searching and such, I finally decided to take my mom's advice and go to school for registered nursing. Honestly no the happiest thing for me, but as she said there will always be sick people! haha ^^; Maybe one day far in the future I'll go back to art full time, possibly get a Bachelors (though not necessary). Or maybe I'll get a Masters for librarian since that's open from any Bachelor's. Or both. Either way, nursing is simply another stepping stone in my life, whether I decide to stick with it or not.
I want to go to school in Japan. Language is my first love. Like I learned Sign Language and Dutch for fun when I was 14, but Low-key I want to get a degree in culinary, you know? Like I love cooking, and I'm good at it, but I also really love language, especially Japanese which I have been trying to teach myself since I was 15. If I went to school in Japan, then not only could I go to a culinary school, but I would also be able to learn the language and the culture! I want to learn Japanese, but having to decide between taking Japanese courses and taking culinary courses is an impossible life decision, you know?
It seems like we have a really similar mindset about school and why you go to school in the first place! I went for a bachelors because it's a foothold for a work visa, and when I graduated in June and was considering applying for the MEXT, I couldn't come up with a clear concise reason for why I was getting a Masters in Japan just yet. So I decided that i'm going to just come over and work, and if I like teaching, i'll go for a degree then so I can teach at the university level in Japan and that degree will have a direct use, simple. If it's not for me, then Linguistics, at the very least, lends itself to a bunch of other fields and i've got experience in proofreading and editing, so I know i'll find something. But going for a masters just for the sake of going is definitely not the way to go, it's got to lend itself to a plan.
This video was insightful to me as someone who has tried(and failed) in entrepreneurship for the past 3 years. I've never had any formal training in business and I think it has hurt me quite a bit. So many online gurus that speak on entrepreneurship don't talk about ay type of business background being necessary. I appreciate the "bias effect" that you touched on. I've made that same mistake multiple times thinking as long as I had a website and some automation that I'd succeed. I think I'd like to pair some business skills up along my Japanese self study.
I'm also entering my last academic semester of grad school! It's been really cool to follow along with your grad school experience at the same time I've been doing mine.
this was soo helpful. so to conclude: The name of your school is the turning point and the way for you to easily go up or down in the job opportunity path.
I'm currently finishing my Bachelor's studies in Europe, and you are so right about the point of university. I wish there were people who would have told me that earlier. Sure, some of your classes might offer you some basic knowledge or the means to apply that knowledge in practice (e.g. labs), but if you really want to learn something, you have to build on that basic knowledge on your own. And university truly is just a gateway that gives you access.
this video keeps getting suggested to me because I've been binge watching expat videos from japan (I really want to travel there but don't speak japanese) - but as someone who went to art school, top tier art schools plural, and see SO many people who think that no degree (in a field that admittedly used to never *technically* need a degree) or a "studio art" degree from a state school is remotely equivalent to a top tier art school degree is amazing. Not only do they not learn anything remotely close to what's needed to get in the door, but the fact that their degree isn't from a certain few art schools (globally) shows that they don't know how to do their research first. On top of that, exactly like you said, your degree is a certification not just what you learn - so where you go and for what REALLY matters. I really wish this video or one like it would be shown to most high school students in the US regardless of what they want to go for since so many American students are pushed to just immediately go to college *anywhere* as if all colleges and all programs are equal. (hint: sometimes taking a few years to reapply will make getting into an ivy league or much better school SO much easier, trust me)
Very impressive. Good luck on your thesis. The Japanese appreciates hard working people like you. I will be starting my degree next year in Japan. So listening to you in this video gives me some inspiration. ありがとうございます。
Bless you for being so honest about the pragmatism of a degree. I feel like sometimes when you say to others that the degree is so that you can get a good job and that you should pick a major that will allow that, people think that you mean that they can't pursue their passions in their career at all. You're living proof that that's not true! I will gladly fill out your survey! I always enjoy your videos. Good luck in your final semester!
Happy Birthday! My first time to comment on RUclips. But allow me to do so. Have you been aware of how powerful your messages have been? They are, very much. Have lived in the US for 10 years but my English is not as nearly good as your Japanese is. But that’s not what you’ve impressed me the most. Your clear thoughts, logical ways of thinking and strong will are. In addition you know how you express your thoughts in very persuasive ways. As a Japanese I feel very lucky to have you in our country.
For a long time I’ve entertained working in Japan, and as a current undergrad I’ve been thinking ahead to my next steps; this helps strengthen my drive to study in Japan for grad school and because I am actually going abroad for the year to study there I hope that I can increase my fluency in the language to make that a more realistic goal :)
Thank you for your honest and practical advice! You are so inspiring. Right now in my life, I feel conflicted but after watching your video, I feel like I can go through what I’m dealing with. Thanks for sharing!! 😭😭❤️❤️
Wow Loretta, I really liked your perspective on higher education. Too often university is sold as an experience rather than something to sell you to the life you would like to live. Experiences are an offset of that!
すごい! Here I was totally impressed by your fluency in Japanese, but now I'm also super impressed by your master thesis. I think the subject is really interesting. がんばったね
You're 30! NO WAY! 30 is still young, but you look super young. I really enjoyed this video please do more of these kinds of videos (articulate and informative content). Congrats on the Japanese grad program!
Great video. I admire how much effort you put into mastering japanese that you can write a freaking thesis in that language. you're hair looks great! i'm going to fill out that survey now.
You are so cool! That topic for your thesis sounds fascinating, and I totally agree with what you said about "Englishization". I've lived in Germany since 2012 and did my undergrad hear and everyone is obsessed here with English, as well... although, people usually do learn other languages as well, being Europe and all, but English is still almost impossible to avoid here, even though I didn't my degree here entirely in German.
I wish I would have known about Temple University when I got out of the Navy so that way I could have stayed in Japan! I used up a good deal of my GI Bill in the States already.
Omg you look so young!! On another note I had no idea this was even an option. I’m studying international relations and Japanese at a big 10 here in the u.s and I’m already stressing about grad school because like more than one (big/important) school would look better on a resume. I wanna work in the government with Japan and i legit only chose my school because of their ties to Japanese institutions. It’s really abt who your uni can connect you to tbh.
No. Thank you for your tangent. I’ve NEVER considered college as paid networking and social climbing (so to speak) club. Yes you learn but like you said you can learn lots of things at other less expensive schools (and in some cases for free just by self study and jumping in)
Great video. The university talk is harsh, but often true (...though less so in certain industries/countries maybe). It was great hearing you talk through why you're doing what you're doing and what that's like! Best of luck with everything! :)
Hi Loretta, great vid! I also couldn't find the link for the questionnaire.
How would I go about getting a scholarship for China?
Please make some video on University fee structure please
Can you provide an insight on how go for a scholarship in Japan?
Tbh. I thought you were around the age of 23.
I'll take it 8D
KemushiChan ロレッタ you look really great for your age ! It's definitely a compliment.
Joke how old is she?
Wario she said in the video that she was about to turn 30
dude i thought she was 21 wtf lol
I thought you were like 21
WTF? 30? you look so young
30 is young, especially in a country where the average lifespan of a woman is 87 years.
Adam Sanchez true but still she looks like mid 20s at latest!
@@adamsanchez222 she’s not Japanese though.

Anyone who attends university for future prospects and monetary reasons has no business being there.
I suppose that to greedy, money-obsessed people, that's what it would be. You must be American since you are so shallow.

I'm thirteen, too. You should try learning from Tae Kim's Complete Guide to Japanese. It's wonderful... And free! I'm currently on Compound Sentences in Japanese.
Acid kandy I’m also 13 and I just started learning Japanese :)
love how we're all 13 and learning japanese
I’ve just started learning Japanese, do you guys use apps to help you learn? Or textbooks?
Never skip class. Always do your readings. Meet the guidelines to your best ability. You'll be fine.
This makes me hopeful thank you ☺️
Mattie Castle No problem! It's been a couple years but this is my advice still.
That thesis sounds really mature, I’m sure the people who gave you that scholarship would be proud 😂 coming from a gr12, so take that with a grain of salt, but that’s much more complex than I would have thought, as well very relevant.

Hi! I read your comment, and I was wondering if you were able to pursue your MEXT Scholarship for Biomedical Research. How was it?
What happened
Hi. I ave completed my Master's in Biomedical Engineering from India and I do plan on pursuing Ph.D in BME in Japan. Please do get in touch.

I won't rant about all the bad stuff that is happening in these months in regards to picking a university, but I really wanted to thank you. I'm ugly crying in a corner of my room because your words were what I really needed to hear ♥️
I'm Japanese.
Your Japanese is so good😎
I think that you can be more fluently (I'm sure) 😎😎
My English is so bad, so I respect you 😎😎😎
Kentaa さんの英語はいいです。
Your English is good, don't worry:)
I'm gonna do whats called a pro gamer moove...
英語は上手ですね。
VoQZ 😦 😆
I am over here cracking up at Kirby’s movements behind you. 😭😭😭 Happy early birthday! I understand exactly why you did what you did. Thanks so much for this video.
Adivineebony I had to lighten the mood somehow 😂
This video is 2 years old but you taught me a valuable lesson today. University only serves the purpose of giving you an expensive receipt xD
this is so perfect, thank you!!
3:16 so many people need to hear this
I've never wanted to read anyone's thesis before but I'm 100% down!! Good luck on gathering research and completing your studies! ❤
Looking forward to the results!!! Keep up with the great work!!! You make me very proud and hopeful to one day being able to speak Japanese as fluently as you do :). Best of luck in all your endeavours!!!
Speaking as an ex university student, please tell me that recorder is backed up 😂 great video, and I wish you all the best!
curiouscatalyst YEP!❤️😍
I thought the exact same thing!
Best of luck to you!!! Glad to hear your pushing forward and hope you stay safe during this madness
KemushiChan ロレッタ 日本とアメリカで、学歴の重さは、結構違いますか?
And survey done, hope it`ll help:)
.....your so pretty !!!
I've been living in Japan for 5 years! So I took the survey! Hope it was helpful! Good luck! :)
Done, I could talk all day about Japanese companies! I work in the UK branch of one and boy oh boy are you preaching the truth in your video!
Preach! anyways, I thought it was obvious and you mentioned that your school was paid for with scholorships. since you're planning to work in Japan, it would just be a great bonus and show your dedication for getting a Masters in a traditional Japanese high end collage.
Also, invite me to your future Ted talk
I just want to say I scrolled through your channel and I really like your drawing! Something I think is very hard is to always have an "air" to your drawings, a presense and a personality, a vibe to your people drawings and you seem to have that which is just really cool. I wish you all the best. ^^
aww thanks for passing by my channel :)
We made collages in grade school, but I don't think they were Japanese.
Oh, yes, you wouldn't want to miss one of those gulping rants by people who have no expertise. TED talks are implausible opinions made flesh.
Hey i just found these videos. I like them a lot. I have lived in Japan for 10 years and have been thinking of doing a masters as of late. Good luck with everything.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO ! I am looking into Japan (specifically keio) for college and this was immensely helpful !!!
My friend and I are 25 and this year we are researching international schools.
you're so cool ! I wish I was as smart/ambitious/brave as you to study in another country with such a different language....so cool
I'm also studying business administration and I always get so excited whenever I see fellow business students :D
Congrats! All the best in your learning!
Yay! New video! I clicked as soon as I saw the notification! 💖💖💖
Love your content! 💖💖💖
Hey Loretta, I am going to find out whether I will be getting the MEXT scholarship or not this week. Wish me luck!
2 years later-- did you ever get the scholarship??
so proud of you Loretta!
I'm currently in the process of applying to Keio University for grad school and it is DAUNTING.
You are such an inspiration! ロレッタ先生ありがとうございます。
Long story short, after doing some soul searching and such, I finally decided to take my mom's advice and go to school for registered nursing. Honestly no the happiest thing for me, but as she said there will always be sick people! haha ^^;
Maybe one day far in the future I'll go back to art full time, possibly get a Bachelors (though not necessary). Or maybe I'll get a Masters for librarian since that's open from any Bachelor's. Or both. Either way, nursing is simply another stepping stone in my life, whether I decide to stick with it or not.
well 1st: Happy early birthday from Australia
2nd: Congrats thus far on your accomplishments
3rd: May you blessed in your social and personal life
I see from your videos 11 years til now, you have positively grown. You are such an inspiration!
Beautiful explanation...I love Japanese language...Kemushi がんばってね!!
I really like the way you talk in Japanese 😍
Happy Birthday, KemushiChan!
this video keeps getting suggested to me because I've been binge watching expat videos from japan (I really want to travel there but don't speak japanese) - but as someone who went to art school, top tier art schools plural, and see SO many people who think that no degree (in a field that admittedly used to never *technically* need a degree) or a "studio art" degree from a state school is remotely equivalent to a top tier art school degree is amazing. (hint: sometimes taking a few years to reapply will make getting into an ivy league or much better school SO much easier, trust me)
That paper thing you did at the beginning was so satisfying and fun to watch. xD
This is EXACTLY what I needed as I'll debating whether to go to school in Japan or the US. Thank you your timing is impeccable 🙌🏾🙆🏽♂️
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TWINNY!!!!!
Very impressive. Good luck on your thesis. The Japanese appreciates hard working people like you.
I will be starting my degree next year in Japan. So listening to you in this video gives me some inspiration. ありがとうございます。
Your channel always inspire me to go to japan 😁
Bless you for being so honest about the pragmatism of a degree. I feel like sometimes when you say to others that the degree is so that you can get a good job and that you should pick a major that will allow that, people think that you mean that they can't pursue their passions in their career at all. You're living proof that that's not true! I will gladly fill out your survey! I always enjoy your videos. Good luck in your final semester!
I really hope you’re saving those interviews somewhere! Good luck with your thesis!
Great job! As an american doing grad school abroad i feel you! keep up the great work!
Thank you for your honest and practical advice! You are so inspiring. Right now in my life, I feel conflicted but after watching your video, I feel like I can go through what I’m dealing with. Thanks for sharing!! 😭😭❤️❤️
What an amazingly lucid description of what university degrees are good for. Beautifully stated.
your thesis sounds fascinating, i'd love to hear more. also interesting perspective on schools and name brands. thank you sharing
Wow Loretta, I really liked your perspective on higher education. Too often university is sold as an experience rather than something to sell you to the life you would like to live. Experiences are an offset of that!
That's such an interesting thesis!!! Good luck on your graduation!!!
Loretta, You have graduated already but I wanted to say: YOU ARE THE BOSS! I love your videos and content!
Yes, yes and more yes! Making us proud with this logic!!!! Love that you are doing the work to always put your best foot forward in your career.
I love the way you think and articulate your thoughts omg! Just subbed (:
Your thesis sounds very interesting and if you have a shortened version of it, I'd love to read it!!
I love your thesis topic, it's going to be fantastic when it's completed!
I am so excited for you! I'll participate the best way that I can!
Keep up the good work my sister. You are the future.
I wish I would have known about Temple University when I got out of the Navy so that way I could have stayed in Japan! I used up a good deal of my GI Bill in the States already.
Yeah I was shocked they have a Japan campus! I'd be curious to learn how that came about...
TUJ was awful when I was there. You didn’t miss anything .
this is just perfect !! thank you for making this vid 🤍🤍
Awesome! This hit home hard. You bring up a lot of very good points!
