Got lucky and found a great used usdm tank did it this weekend on jack stands definitely bring it somewhere else if you can or get access of a lift 10/10 rather pull the trans on the floor and put it back then another fuel tank.
I'm surprised you didn't paint the fuel sending unit cap! I think it's vht makes a rust stopping product sprays on clear dries black and it stops rust then you can paint over it works great!!! The underside NEEDS the vht rust stopper!
u really good with EVO’s. i could use some help please with what I need. Also found a Evo that’s been sitting in a garage for and started it’s pretty far from me but the ladder i’m in the rear is rusted but the car is soooo cheap. please if we can speak I would appreciate it
Oh wow way off lol I love your builds they help a lot! I got stock bottom end fresh and new top end gsc valves and bee hive springs. Cossworth m2 cams Short route ets charge pipes Evo 9 turbo and o2 dump probably slap some 1200 cc fuel injectors clinics I'm getting speed density tune soon also thinking about e85 but I don't have that many stations around
It's crazy. It's so hard to find parts when it's not even that old really it's going to be even scarier in a couple more years! I blame it on people's pride when they wreck the cars they take the big parts off and send them away nobody thinks about the gas tank and the fuel filter lines until the rust belt of America comes in I don't know why you guys don't undercoat your cars better over there it would be like on every couple years maintenance deal for me
This video is gonna be a huge help for the evo community, more than you know lol
i have this same gauge just installed it , please please please make a video on wiring it to ecu so evoscan will read the AFRs in live data!
great job , this is going to help me a lot
Bravo àmigo, that's alot of work.

I know the feeling! ha. Glad you could find a USDM tank.
Do you have the part number for the filter you replaced at 2:10?

Also the part you're installing is a fuel vapor sensor @11:33
Thanks, do you know what it actually does?

would normal Lancers use the same fill pipe? Might be easier to source.
Doubt it since almost nothing else works from the base lancer.
Doesn't the black one have a built motor and cams also? Also it's on speed density?
Neither have speed density. Neither are built. Both Engine long blocks are pretty much identical. Stock bottom end, GSC S1 cams, ARP head studs.

@@jo-qp7mz Sounds like a good build!
That's weird cause the safety valve part code is the same across all the markets
Yea I think it was more about the tank than the safety valve. Wasn't really a big deal. possibly one the studs was just bent a bit to throw it off.
So when you gonna rip on it and gut the inside
I will race it this Saturday if it doesn't get rained out. I don't plan to do much with the interior.
