Winning the tournament 13 times and 4 times without losing a set speaks volumes of his dominance and level of play on clay. I don't think any player on any other surface can match that kind of dominance.

That’s smart and I had not seen it that way, but you are absolutely right! I believe that if Nadal knows someone’s life depends on him, the beast on him will come out and he will win that set without a doubt.
I have always said that if I had one match of someone playing for my life at their peak, it would be Nadal. As close to a guarantee as there is if the surface is clay, and still no slouch on grass or hard courts. He will never have the record for weeks at number 1, year end championships, etc., but it's due to his absolutely all out, punishing playstyle. It gave him many injuries and issues to prevent him from the same sustained dominance of Djokovic, but just one match in anyone's prime, I have to take Nadal.
Easily Nadal on clay. Just to show you how good he is there, he's 14-2 against Federer and 19-8 against Djokovic when playing on clay... you can argue over who the goat is and it really is a matter of preference but Rafael Nadal on clay is the most dominant player in the history of Tennis, that's undeniable
I would pick rafa because even if he is 2 breks and set point down, he'll give all he's got and can win the set from that situation also. THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL TIME I love his fighting spirit and how mentally he's so strong.
I guess the most likely player that would save our lives by winning one set is Djokovic... But I'd choose Rafa, because he can do it when things go bad 🙌🙌🙌
I agree on Federer, but there's no one more relentless and committed like Nadal, even when he's on inimaginable pressure there has been so many times he has saved set points and match points...its unbelievable. Specially in his prime/younger, there was no one better than him so save points under pressure.

Like i said, Federer was beating nobodies and young Nadal and Novak, when they hit their prime AND Federer was still in his prime at that time, he was 28,29 that is peak age and performance, we all saw what happened afterwards. Nadal got ahead and Djokovic has just been an unstoppable force this past decade. Its weird also how Djokovic is 6 years younger but has spent the most weeks in #1 and only has 2 GS titles less than Federer. Be realistic for once in your life
Honestly, the surface doesn't matter; if there was ONE player to win ONE set to save your life, it would have to be Rafael Nadal. Grigor Dimitrov knows the truth!
All three are amazing, but I think everyone has forgotten how well Federer can control himself during important points because of Wimbledon 2019(and a few more times he shanked match points). AO 2017 last set he was down 2-0, the 3-1 and after that Nadal didn't even win a game. AO 2020 Federer saved 7 match points in the quarter finals while battling a groin injury. His optimism and fighting spirit is not visible, but is felt from how well he has controlled himself many, many times.
Most likely because Federer was utter shit that day and somehow he pulled himself out of that in those games and tiebreak, with sheer talent. After that he was done, he gave everything.
I'm a Federer fan, but I would say Nadal because that guy just never quits. If I had to choose a player to entertain and be technical I would have Federer. If I wanted to watch a player imitate a brick wall- Novak
If I picked Federer, I would die of heart attack before Federer can even try and serve it out against Djokovic, 40-15. Nadal on clay and Djokovic anywhere else.
Monfils: “ I would chose my girlfriend because why not, laughs evilly...” Plot twist: Monfils girlfriend has been the best player of all time secretly.
That is a piece of cake… Try choosing someone to save your life when he is down 15-40 in the fifth set and faces 2 championship points and at the same time a hostile crowd of 15,000 people strong, booing and screaming at him… yeah… we all know who we’d choose… even Federer knows! ;)
I would definetly choose Rafa or Djokovic. Nothing against Federer, he is great, but he did show the most vulnerability in clutch moments between them. Novak is the most clutch player and Rafa is the guy who gives already 100% every point, when someone is going to die, he probably manages to give 20% more😃 Also. Borg. Probably even more clutch than Novak
If the surface was chosen at random, which player would you trust the most? I would say Rafa because of the math and his tenacious. You have 1/3 chance of him playing on clay and pretty much guarantee a win. But he can also dominate on hard courts. So I have a 2/3 chance and just his drive alone is enough. The other two don't have the math in their favor.
From a long time tennis fan, the most tenacious, never give up fighters throughout their careers are Connors, Chang, Hewitt and Rafa. I wd never pick Fed, I've seen him give up the fight quite often, and certainly in his early days, Djoko was known to throw in the towel. The 4 I 've picked were bulldogs at every stage of their careers.
Nadal on Clay, Djokovic on everything else. Djokovic has a 5th set win rate of 78%, Roger is only 59%. Novak is definitely the most clutch player ever.
For just one set, I would go for Roger. No one in the tour starts as well as he does except Rafa at RG. Just like Kyrgios said Federer can make you feel really bad at court. When he starts and serves first, he is all guns blazing, you won't even notice it will be just 20 minutes and the set is over.. My bet is on Roger.

If all I needed was a set to save my life; he got the first. Nadal on clay is still the correct answer and the smart choice. Period. ❤️
The best option is Nadal, just by looking at the big three carrer win/loss percentage overall:
Nadal: 83,1%
Novak: 82,9%
Roger: 82,1%
And if you are lucky and it is on clay... (91,8%) well, you can just relax and enjoy the match 😂😂😂
Roger all the way f the stats
I'd pick Rafa....though I'm Novak's fan.
The reason being Rafa played each point as if it's the must win point
That’s smart and I had not seen it that way, but you are absolutely right!
I believe that if Nadal knows someone’s life depends on him, the beast on him will come out and he will win that set without a doubt.
Yep, but if it's a one set wins it all, Novak is gonna play it just as ardous and more efficiently.
Novak on hard at Australian Open, Nadal on Clay at Roland Garros.
No way I'm losing my life with those two. 🐐🐐
Federer on grass. Without a doubt.

Djokovic always picks Rafa
I like that 💚
These type of questions always have the same answers: Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. The Big 3 will be forever remembered in the history of tennis!!!

I would pick rafa because even if he is 2 breks and set point down, he'll give all he's got and can win the set from that situation also.
THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL TIME
I love his fighting spirit and how mentally he's so strong.

Djokovic, no doubt, on any surface but clay.....there it would be Nadal.

That Madrid match, Nadal vs Djokovic, was the most physical 3 set match I'd ever seen in my life.
Master of digging deep🔥
Rafa❤️❤️❤️
To be fair Novak is the best choice. The guy is a machine. If you could pick a year, than 2015 Djokovic would be the easiest answer ever. 🐐

2011 would be better imo
Nothing compares to Nadal chances to save your life on clay. NOTHING!!

Probably Benoit Paire, because I know he wouldn't let anything distract him and would stay focused and competitive to the very end.
Marcus Willis, most athletic player we’ve ever seen.

Djokovic. Why? Wimbledon finals 2019. I dont need to add anything anymore
Roger 37 years old ...
@@chanta95 so what? Roger was winning his GS titles when Nadal and Djokovic were inexperienced. His competiton was weak, why was Federer losing this decade when he was in his late 20s and early 30s? @@chanta95 oh really lmao? I want you to ask any Tennis expert and they will tell you that Djokovic’s prime is the greatest prime there has ever been. Thats what you call unstoppable. I want you to name me one variation of Federer that would be able to beat 2011 Djokovic or even 2013 Djokovic.

🎾
Andrey's response 🥺🥺🥺
Novak's resilience is unmatchable... He has come back many times against the very best to prove it's no luck...
Until when he can't come back and then "gets injured" or plenty of medical time outs which coincidentally distract the opponents rhythm.
@@smartsquirrel1 You mean Dopadal
Just loved the ending. As always monfeis being himself made me grin 😍😍😍
Rafael Nadal, he has the highest win percentage. He’s the most clutch, the mentally toughest and if he plays on clay, just unbeatable.
Loving these Monfils bits at the end..it's almost like a surprise to see if he'll turn up at the end of these videos with some hilarious comments.
One player, one set to save your life
Zverev : "Is that even a question?"
I still can't believe Zverev had the mental strength to win that match in Shanghai
Most likely because Roger had nothing left after the tough first two sets, and everything he put into winning the second one...
Most likely because Federer was utter shit that day and somehow he pulled himself out of that in those games and tiebreak, with sheer talent.
After that he was done, he gave everything.
@Paul Sridharan There's no credit to give.
@Paul Sridharan is it true he beat her girlfriend?

I'm a Federer fan, but I would say Nadal because that guy just never quits. If I had to choose a player to entertain and be technical I would have Federer. If I wanted to watch a player imitate a brick wall- Novak
Auger-Aliassime found out himself how motivated Nadal is to win.
Murray was the only one who asked the most important question

I would definetly choose Rafa or Djokovic. Nothing against Federer, he is great, but he did show the most vulnerability in clutch moments between them.
Novak is the most clutch player and Rafa is the guy who gives already 100% every point, when someone is going to die, he probably manages to give 20% more😃
Also. Borg. Probably even more clutch than Novak
Djokovic from 2011/2015
Federer from 2006/2007
Nadal from 2013
They were almost unbeatable then!
2008-2009 Nadal. Best all-court tennis I’ve ever seen.
Easy Nadal on clay especially Roland garros.
Even that isn't 100% anymore, alhought as close as it can be 😅

From a long time tennis fan, the most tenacious, never give up fighters throughout their careers are Connors, Chang, Hewitt and Rafa. I wd never pick Fed, I've seen him give up the fight quite often, and certainly in his early days, Djoko was known to throw in the towel. The 4 I 've picked were bulldogs at every stage of their careers.
Nadal.
I mean:on clay for certain!
And on any other surface too.

But he cannot lose on clay!
