Excellent review of the psyche of Pakistan and it’s armed forces. The psyche of Mr Sethi seems to be the same as the public. Thanks Sir

A rare insight of the concept of war! Thank you General, Sir, for this rich presentation. Jay jay siyaram! The ideological war with Hindu India is explicit within India. Will love to have your views on how to control it? जय जय सियाराम!

Its easy to win all wars when the public doesn't hold the politicians and the army accountable to their lies. Army losses every war, has countless citizen killed and then publicly hold parades to state they won the war. It is not a one sided equation. The army and the politicians are willing to lie and the citizenry is willing to accept their lies readily. The behavior and values of the politicians, Army and its people are the same. To the Pakistanis anything is fair when its against India.

Sir , can you do a podcast on how the future of Gen Asim Munir is going vis a vis Imran Khan’s influence and Pak power dynamics ……who might be the next Pak Army Chief and if Munir will scuttle him or there might be a more Imran supporting Pak Army Corps Comdrs grouping that might change the politico - military dynamics going ahead in time ??!!
Finally the role of the judiciary in the interplay between the Pak Army - Politicians and Judiciary ?? 🎉

Bhaiji this is a big problem of Indian military at present. A small group took part in action in Kargil after 1971 means 28 yrs after. If any one got in military after 71 war he must hv become Gen Officer without seeing any real action. If any one who didn't participate in Kargil certainly he must retired without even witnessing the real action. Ist of all why Kargil intrusion happened at all when you have Air Force / as well as Army helicopters also? If happened why not cought soon after if not during by having regular observation flights or why not percived? This prrcievement n planning is only the task of Top brass not the patrols. That is why Musarraf is not wrong in narrative, listen to his interviews on it as neutral person.
Had it not been fiercest political intervention of Atalji by isolating Pak n forcing its Airforce n Army from supporting their intruders it could have been the case of POK. How much blood Soldiers sheded to recapture it even from the isolated/ stand alone intruders? Imagine if supplies n communication maintained, had it not been POK?
Why? Because failure of percievement abt thei vulnerability of Kargil like place and plan to avoiding it of then serving and a flood on MSM & You Tube Retd Gen. Col. Now.
Jaraa Map dekhana bhai Kargil ka fir sochana ki jungal se bhare adjacent abandoned plot se ek slant tree aapke courtyard me jhuka hai toh snakes rats cats aayenge ya nahi? Toh aap usaka kuchh intzam karenge ya nahi yaa saap aapake aage hi aayegaa peechhe nahi?
Theek hai izzat karo leki Bhavana me mat baho bhai socho

Interesting analysis of Pakistan vis a vis India. Although the 2 nation theory is the foundational principle of Pakistan, it seems that its conflict with India stems from the lack of clarity about its own identity. If the Pakistan state and its military see themselves as the sword-arm of Islam vs. India as the ‘inferior’ Hindu non believers, surely it would be ideologically conflicted with a China too, particularly since it (China) persecutes its own ethnic Muslim minority. By that same logic of a common ideology, it should be at peace with Afghanistan.
It seems like Pakistan’s real issue with India is historical; that the circumstances of history, which began with the rise of the Marathas that dealt a blow to Islamic rule in undivided India, the end of colonialism and undivided India’s emergence as an independent democratic nation, turned the tables on them, when Hindus became the ruling class. So every military conflict that Pakistan loses against India, is strangely viewed as a victory by its military, perhaps because it is seen as attempts at rectifying the historical reversal of roles.
It also seems to have geopolitical reasons, as envisaged in the classic Chanakya model, where it sees India as its enemy, which makes China a friend, since China and India are adversaries. As General Ravi Shankar rightly observes, it is India’s rapid economic advancement that will deliver that political defeat to Pakistan’s military.

The good General is trying to demystify the Pakistan problem. It is not really that complicated if you understand Islam and what is written in their holy books😅, the one book I hope is covered is The Quranic concept of war by Brigadier SK Malik

    Dear Sir
Excellent analysis. Following Topics are missing
    Two nations theory
Theological and doctrinal basis of thinking.
Aided and abetted by the west and prompted by China.
Excess size at time of partition with respect to geography
We have to be preemptive, grow exponentially

    Sir,
There is a gentleman called Prof Ishtiyaque Ahmed. He is a Head Of Department in some University of Sweden. This man has written 4 or 5 authoritative books on Pakistan. He is in some ways a historian who has collected credible evidence of different important juncture in Pakistan. He is unbiased and has described how Pakistan has always been the aggressor and has always been defeated by India and what are the lies they propagate. You can do a scholarly and well-informed talk with him if you invite him. Lastly, he talks very well.

Is it wrong to say that Pak army despite much smaller than Indian mammoth had always effective initiative except 1971. OK we ulrimately got Kargil back but at what cost? If they could observe the gap, why not like you Indian Gen n blocked those or kept watch so that theee incursion coul hv detected at the nascent level n thwarted?
So how many Indian army top brass accepted their unexcusable complacency n how many head rolled?
So they lie on outcome but good initiative n ours attribut their initiative failure to this & that n later boast on outcomes which couldn't have taken place if remained just alert. No?
I hv read probbly Major Gen. RS Verma himself took initistive to detect the Aksaichin Road in 60s or Air Mshl Barbora to operationalise DBO even by keeping cowardice UPA govt in dark.
So Ist boldly accept that Happening of Kargil was a gross failure of Indian military ss a whole n Indian Army in particular n Lt Gen. Budhwar precisely
    No Sir?
