Salute you sir great knowledge and good discussion JAI Hind VANDEMATARAM
Gen Narayan speaks about the quality of contract soldiers. We also have started the same concept of Agniveer which is also a form of short term employment. Does it mean that our soldiers will also drop their weapons during battles and run away????
At 50:00, is there more that can be done to encourage in forums like g20, the Tibetan govt in exile to speak up?
yes
My 2 favorite generals ..On my favourite topic China 😂
*Sir* *one* *question* *how* *much* *land* *PLA* *captured* *from* *india* *in* *galwan* *clash* *(which* *is* *documented* *in* *news* *and* *other* *sources)*
PLA can win only informative warfare😊..in real war scenario they will scoot🏃!!
Excellent podcast. So much information about china and PLA and its fault lines.
A question General Saheb
Given that US/NATO has not been able to perform well in Ukraine, can Admiral's word be taken seriously? Is US even capable of conducting conventional war in these circumstances? Further, the way Russia and China have come close and coming closer, does that not make US's capabilities further questionable? Especially now that it has been established that Russia is years ahead of US when it comes to modern war, weapons?
It is for the Chinese to take a call
Thanks to both Lt Gen. Shankar and Major Gen Narayanan Sir. Fantastic !!!!😊
PLA must be watching the video
Khayali pulao mat banao.....
hmm
DID YOU BOTH PARTICIPATE IN THE INDO-CHINA WAR OF 1962?
My late eldest maternal uncle (Mamaji) participated as a very senior Indian Air Force officer.
He was commissioned in the Royal Indian Air Force Flying Branch as a navigator in 1946.
He actively participated in the very first Indo-Pak War of 1947.
As a young Pilot Officer, he flew with Group Captain Baba Mehar Singh during his very first sortie, airlifting the first infantry troops of the Indian Army Sikh Regiment and landing at the Srinagar airfield on October 27, 1947, in their Royal Indian Air Force transport plane Dakota.
During the Indo-China War of 1962, he served as a Wing Commander and flew multiple sorties, providing logistical support to Indian Army ground troops. For his distinguished service, he received the VSM (Vishisht Seva Medal )
In the year of 1963, he along with Squadron Leader Raje and then Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Erlic Wilmot Pinto, PVSM, was part of the first Indian Air Force team under the guidance and leadership of Air Marshal Minoo Merwan Engineer, the Chief of the Indian Air Force.
Utilizing his exceptional navigational skills, they landed the first Indian Air Force team at Daulat Beg Oldi in a C-119 Packet transport plane fitted with a dorsal jet pod.
My Late eldest Mamaji retired from the Indian Air Force as an Air Marshal (three-star officer) in 1975.
My late second eldest maternal uncle was commissioned in 1957 as an Indian Air Force officer in the Flying Branch as a pilot. He participated in the Indo-Pak Wars of 1965 and 1971 as a fighter pilot.
He retired as an Air Vice Marshal (two-star officer) in the early years of 1980s.
My father too was commissioned in 1963 as an Indian Air Force officer in the Flying Branch as a pilot.
He participated as a fighter pilot in the Indo-Pak Wars of 1965 and 1971 and received the Vir Chakra during the 1971 war.
He retired as an Air Vice Marshal (two-star officer) during beginning of 1990's s and is currently living as an 83-year-old senior citizen.
I understand both of you were very junior officers at that time.
Just out of curiosity, what ranks did you hold during the early years of the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s?
Sirs, what about China's assets for biowarfare?
Sir,
In the light of Gen Narayanan's arguments on the mercenary element in the PLA, don't you feel that our Agniveer scheme is flawed?
yes
Jai Hind Jai Bharat ❤❤❤❤
Were both these Generals trained by our Ancient Chaul Empire?
?????
Sir, Kudos to you for this brilliant podcast and for taking out time to read so many comments.
Glad you enjoyed it!
PLA can win within 4-5 days if INDI Group is in power.
Hmm
Sir what is real economy or gdp of china is it between 12 to 15 trillions dollars
किसी को सही पता नहीं है सब अंदाज है
Very very eye opening and informative talk. Thanks to both of you.. appreciate the value you both provide.
Our pleasure!
Soldiers & Home Guard selection & training is 1000 times different.
History of Chines PLA Army is perhaps not known to to qualify among great Armies.
It's basic in DSSC
Sir jee Ram Ram PLA judh kabhi nahi Jeet sakta yes it's true.lakin PLA ka first attack bahut heavy hoga.iskoo halkey mat laina.Baad mey .PLA ZERO.bharat ko pakistan beh pok mey chaina beh oskey all workers and works per hard hit kartey rahey.use Pak militents.spend money.how much they wants.sir jee do it Hard.
Bharat maata ki jay.
Jai Bharat ❤
The debate between Gen Rajiv Gen Shankar was very fruitful we were quite convinced abt Bharaths potential both militarily & economically. There seem to be another debate between them I am looking to it.
Jai Hind, Sir ..🇮🇳
Never ever
Get away all indian army then lets see
Hmm
Wow
PLA has no experience of fighting wars and even in recent past their skrimises with Indian and Myanmar army it has fled away without any serious resistance.
Sir, this discussion is wonderful 👏 but don't give away too many details
Sir is it possible to arrange same assesment talk on Pakistan 🙏
Although listening you people is very good in English but explained by two in Hindi is outstanding.
Gunners shot - long view and heavy impact analysis. The metaphor of a long range gun landing on target is very apt.
Awesome 🙏🌼
Excellent session. Very informative and made me feel better about future in case of conflicts.
Love both of you Gentlemen having a hearty laugh and fun.. Salute Sir 😀
Sir, your comment on the PLA army fighting with conscripts would not have the same effect unlike soldiers of regular army fighting for their regiment and country and also having family traditions of joining the army. Ukraine and Russia are having conscripts who either runaway or surrender with their arms.
In Indian context we have given a name like Agniveer with 6 months training. Is he fit for the battle field? Given the technology of the Airforce and Navy isn't it better to scrap this very illogical decision. The pension problem can be solved by other means. Under the present international scenario India cannot to play with it's army for political boosting.
hmm
Sirs, why cannot clear vegetation in IB with pakistan for 2 kms or to area where our FOPs get a wider spectrum of eye as per Military doctrine. If at all tunnels run deeper we can clearly deal with back up?!
Hmm
43:40 Obvious Question.. but one extension to that question. Sir, will the PRC's eastern opponents maintain pressure when we mount an offensive and will our industry support us the high equipment losses which PRC can afford?
we will have to see
New border challenge Chinese mastery in making long tunnels which Indian govt and defence ignoring. Underground infrastructure like deep long inter connected tunnels at strategic place on border for safekeeping arms, equipments, personnel to stay all weather, surveillance, fiber optics, road connectivity, food, oxygen, water all must be provided. Quick appear, disappearance at strategic places similar to recent Israel attack and tactics need of an hour.
hmm
Political and economic warfare are latest version of warfare ,do our forces are trained for such types.
Gen Saab missed out on many things including report from Bloomberg which says chines war production capability is more than that of usa when it was fighting world war 2 . India has also started conscription by introducing agniveer. We dont have our own aircraft manufacturing. We are totally import dependenton our aircraft parts unfortunately We are more fucked than china
hmm
We have established our own aircraft production line with the Tejas series. Yes work needs to be improved but foundation is already there. Also a lot of china's equipment specifically thier rocket force was found wanting by several reports across the world. Additionally all our airfields are at higher elevation compared to China . We can bear the majorities of our strength while they can only bring in about 25% as the other majority is focused on the Taiwan front. War is not a only about equipment and A is better than B
Logistics and geographical advantage also play a key role. For example if indian navy were to block straits of malacca then Chinese imports and exports would be absolutely shredded and this is a country dependent on exports. Our CBG can reach thier faster than there's courtesy of our bases in Andaman and nicobar and lakshwadeep. But yes extensive work is going on to improve our aircraft as well as drone and engine manufacturing and also to increase number of submarines. One thing you have to understand that China has opened so.many fronts across the world that they can never bring thier full.force to bear on any particular adversary for fears of leaving the other fronts empty. Also to note that even though China says that they will claim Taiwan. Everytime US conducts a FON ops they quickly scamper away from that region
@@subhadeep129 Carriers useful only during peacetime....fielding carriers against china in s.china sea wouldn't be a nice move...... few missiles striking the flight deck could disable a carrier shutting down landings and takeoffs.......
@@santa906 carriers do not travel alone they are accompanied by thier respective battle groups which along with the carrier itself gives area denial capabilities in terms of missiles ciws, etc.The reason Chinese navy is so desperate to get into.the indian ocean and establish a base near maldives is to break the deadlock in the region because as of now they are extremely vulnerable. Long missile strikes can happen both ways. We can reach Beijing just as they can reach delhi. It will be down to the ballistic missile shield of the respective counter and how effective they are. Also as stated previously our airbases within the region of conflict outnumber thiers and are at a greater elevation as most of thier bases are inward and as such without abandoning other fronts they will not be able to bring thier full.force to bear. Same cannot be said for us. You have to remember any conflict with China is not in exclusion as they have opened numerous fronts of engagement and cannot abandon either to reinforce one.
What is the implication of the Agniveer scheme on the combat capability of the Army? Will it blunt the fighting edge of the Army. An analytical session on this will be appreciated by your viewers.
see my podcasts on Agniveers
Sir app donoke bat sunkar Keya chaina apne apko sudhar liya to?

Ask them to get out of Tibet.
👍👍👍

India should also creat artificial icelands to strengthen its positions in Indian ocean
Well South China sea is very shallow , Indian Ocean is very very deep. This much I have read told by some experts . So it's difficult to build islands in Indian Ocean . Also in regions of corals we already have islands like lakshwdweep .
Jai Jai Shree Ram Sir Ji 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
Jai Bharat 🇮🇳
Jai hind jai bhartiya 🙏
If we take the assessment at face value Sirs can we reverse salami slice ???
at some time ...we must
great insights
really good analysis sir 🙂
Thanks a lot
General Sir, at 29:00, at some level don't we need to respect their ability to command their production and economy to work towards their war effort?
How do we mitigate it? Perhaps by out producing/outlasting them? Are we confident of that?
Hmm
Respected:
Pranam Dandawat
Regards
Thanks!
Great show and like what I hear.
A question though: is it a possibility deployment maps that we get in Google search is past positions or fakes?
Suspect authenticity
