I’ve been a superintendent/owner for decades..grew up in the business. I have watched many videos of guys changing holes and I laugh at the way they take such a simple task and turn it into a huge ordeal. The bucket, roller, water, level, sextant, clipboard, and even taking the greens temperature..😂. All joking aside, I can out there by myself and change 18 holes in 45 minutes. Believe me, the golfers will Not know any difference in the way I do it than the way I see it done on RUclips with the fancy steps. Superintendents have a thankless job and it seems the more you do at your golf course the less it is appreciated. Make life simple for yourself, go out there and just change the hole..all you need is a puller, changer, and cup setter. Press it down with your foot some and go to the next one. Don’t over stress..
Worse job ever I’m 16 I’ve been doing cups since 12 years old with my dad and I’ve never had to re dig it most I do is pack it down this is horrible job
He was setting the putting green which isn't as deep as a regular hole but he cut for a regular hole. Since you know everything you should know that packing down a plug will only temporarily keep it down. It will rise up and the mower will scalp it especially if it gets wet

I was a Golf Course Superintendent for 35 years and this brings back memories!
"Try to make it look like you were never here" A phrase used over and over in the golf course maintenance industry. Well done Sir.
Oh wow, slide hammer the cup cutter, I did not know such things!
Todddddddddd! Best In The Biz!
Don’t set cupcutter down on green. The hinge part of plunger can leave dents in green. I set mine diagonal on plate.
Agree. I usually try to balance it standing up but if it falls it will leave a nasty dent
I need to start doing setup in crocs.
Why was the cup upside down? Please don't say because of Covid.

@@L_TrainTake it easy on the kid; he only knows his Daddy's course. He isn't old enough to comprehend a world outside of Daddy's knowledge.
