I’ve had the gelie cure system since the end of 2019. I did the full system which was the only way they had instructions for back then. I did 15-20 manicures and on average it would only last 5 days before chipping. I tried all the tips and tricks I could find, including trying it without the rescue serum and nothing helped. I was sad because I loved the smooth glossy finish, and I loved the idea of it. But ultimately I put it away because I get longer wear with regular nail polish. However, this year when they brought out the Defend & Shine kit, which is just using the Gelie Cure as a top coat, I pulled it back out to try that way. And it is perfection for me! I do Zoya’s Anchor base coat, 2 thin coats of a neutral or lighter colored zoya polish, and then Gelie Cure as a top coat and it consistently lasts 14+ days for me without chipping! I love to put a dark color on after a few days and know I dont have to worry about staining. I do get tip wear, and have so much growth by 14 days that I am ready to start over, but its never chipped by then. Anyways, just wanted to share in case anyone else is struggling with the full application not lasting. I love your videos and IG posts! 💗💗💗
That’s awesome! I love to hear how it wears for people that have used it long term but it makes sense! Still 5 days no chips is better than most people get so even at your worst time it was still better than a lot of other options. However, 14 days + such an easy removal is sooo good. I’m going to be using this more and more and see what I discover from experience :) Thanks soooo much for sharing ur experiences with this product! I was surprised to see there isn’t that much out there on it, and I think it might be a little underrated right now! 😱. But I’ll see haha
I have the same results with the full system but i don't even get 5 days. Have you tried using another brand nail polish with the "defend & shine" method?
Thanks for the tip!! I will have to try this as using the gel as a base doesn’t last at all for me, and often the entire polish pops off my nails after just a couple days
Thank you for this video! I have the same system but I kept getting wrinkles. What helped me was that you provided the time on how to wait for each step. Thanks again! 😘 love all your videos!
Another awesome video - very thorough & informative. I have just the Rescue & Repair steps and haven't really used them yet. I found the instructions on the bottle of serum to be awkward & a little confusing so I went looking for a video and found you! I'm much less unsure of myself now, thank you!😊 BTW, that Harbor mani was GORGEOUS! I hated to see you have to remove it so quickly.
I also received this kit with a purchase some time ago but have never used it. After seeing your video I will definitely try it. Thank you- I always look forward to your videos!
I’m watching this video now for the third time🤷🏻♀️ And going to attempt to use this product that I bought a couple of years ago lol! It’s been super intimidating confusing for me 💯 but I think I got this! @zoya should pay you big $$ for this 👌
So i also received this for free about a year ago, and recently pulled it out again. What a happy coincidence that u just put out this video! Its never lasts more than a few days for me but i figured it would help with the staining on my nails, especially since it's dark polish season. Can you update us on ur experience with wear time? I'd love to see an update video on your experience with the kit, the different ways you've worn it, and wear time.
Thanks for this! I think during the removal process it may have pulled out some of the staining as well. A side by side could confirm. I've used this kit twice and really liked it!
Great tutorial. I looking at purchasing the GelieCure kit & was curious to see if you are still using the product? Are you happy with it, has it helped the health of your nails & does it last? Have you tried the “defend & shine” ? Would really appreciate your feedback as there really isn’t that much information out there regarding this product.
I have never used this product on an ongoing basis. I only used it enough to review it. When I think of “helping the health of the nail” this is not my first option, no. Not that it harms but it’s also not a thing. This is cosmetic to make the nail look better, but doesn’t actually change or improve the nail itself. An analogy is make up to cover acne, versus actual acne-improving medication or products, etc
This looks so cool! Thanks for doing a video on it. Did the sandwich method harden the nail at all like a gel polish would? I have flexible nails and would love to add some durability without going full on gel polish.
It’s def *not* like gel polish. This is a hybrid patented type of gel, like an in between regular polish and gel. It’s hard to explain because I haven’t seen anything else like it, but that’s the best way I have to describe it. Haha exactly am in between. But no, it didn’t harden the nail.
Yay, I’ve been waiting for your video review! I got this last year and tried it many times but I always had my polish pop off after just a couple days. 😫 I always only did serum + base + gel + normal polish + normal top coat. I tried reducing the serum quantity as the troubleshooting suggested but has no luck having my mani last. Maybe I should give it one more try with no serum at all?
Great review, just one question...would i be able to do some nail stamping then top coat with the geli cure? As the polish would have to be dry for the stamping. Thanks ❤❤
I don’t see why it would be a problem - just let the stamping polish dry real well 🥰 (I know they already dry super fast tho so haha should be fine!) - give it a go and see what happens 😝
I’m learning a lot here. I use Zoya , base coat , then soya polish 2 coats and glossy seal I’m getting five days. I want to try the gel to but I wonder if it’s too complicated for me?
It depends on personal need. If you get 5 days off of regular polish I think that's pretty good. It truly depends on what you are looking for. The Geliecure is not gel, it's like a hybrid, so it might be a good step/transition from regular into gel.
@@PolishLabRat I have everything now and I’m going to try this hybrid. I get five days out of Zoya products. The only reason I’m trying the glele’ cure is because my nails do peel a bit so I’m going to try it. I’ll report back on difficulty or ease of application and length of manicure, etc. I’m not as young as you so this may have a degree of difficulty due to my age as well. Lol
Wow, I'm impressed! This is a great tutorial and review! I always wanted to try gel polish but feared damaging my natural nails upon removal. I like this system in that you can use regular or gel polish. I don't need this to repair my nails but definitely want to try it if it goes on sale. Your mani came out beautiful! TFS
Thanks! So I don’t know that u can use this with gel polish actually. It’s designed to sandwich in regular polish, not gel. I have not tried the geliecure as a topper for gel polish. If u think of any other questions about it DM me and I can help u. 💕

Has anyone tried using a peel off base coat on top of the gel being used as the first base coat?
I haven’t and I would guess it won’t work as well, geliecure is not as strong as true gels, but would be interesting to find out if anyone knows.
