Hi all! Danielle from Zoya shared this information on why they suggest using their LED light vs. finding a cheaper one somewhere else. I hope this helps! "It’s not necessarily a wattage issue, but our light actually consists of 180° of small lights, which creates a mesh around the nail allowing the bulbs to hit every angle. Many other lights to not offer this same coverage. It is possible to find a cheap light that has this, which is fine - we just recommend making sure it’s nearly identical. So it’s not the wattage, but the positioning of the bulbs."
Olive Ave Nails I have an expensive Kira Sky lamp so hopefully that works bc I can’t justify buying another one just for this system (ordered it Black Friday and excited to try it!)
I have super dry, brittle nails that break and peel endlessly. This kit saves them! I didn’t use it for a couple of months and my nails went right back to being annoying. 🤦🏻♀️ I totally recommend it! 😃
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 finally someone with nails like mine!! If I look at water too long, my nail polish chips off 😂 I switched to gel 2 years ago but sometimes my nails need a rest. This kit sounds worth trying!!
I am definitely looking forward to an update on this! I feel like this is something I could get some use out of, since I get tip chipping all the time.
YES!!! I gotta get this ASAP!! I am a Zoya fanatic! Like you, I have peeling and chipping nails from constant daily use. I also enjoy changing my polish often on a regular basis. Major dilemma with the upcoming holidays, lots of house guests, no time for changing or touching up polish. I love the wear-ability of gel but hate how it destroys my nails. Finally the solution for it all, and from Zoya. Thanks for the review and "thank you" to Zoya!
I’m so excited for this! I’ve been wanting to try gel for the added strength but never wanted to file down the surface of my nails for gel prep since they’re so thin/peeling to begin with. Great review, thank you!
I am so glad you did this review. Kinda wishing I'd watched it sooner and got the kit on 26-Dec. My nails shred, flake, peel, and tear. In fact, they frequently tear behind the nail line, so I have a place my hair catches when I wash it. I'm still excited about the promise of this product and look forward to any future feedback you have.
With all gels make sure u don’t get it on the skin and if it does clean it off asap before curing it can cause contact dermatitis if it touches the skin and once u get an allergy to gel you won’t be able to wear gel or acrylic anymore (gel and acrylic have basically the same ingredients) I highly recommend to paint only ur index, middle, ring and pinky finger on one hand then curing it bc painting all ten nails then curing it ur chances of it moving into the skin before u get the chance to cure it or it getting on something is very likely bc gel moves with gravity. when curing I would save the thumbs to go in by themselves or do both thumbs I wouldn’t cure all 5 fingers bc when u do that ur thumb is leaning so it can cause the gel to move to one side of the nail which will make that side bigger and it might touch the skin and always do very thin coats bc if it’s not fully cured it can still cause an allergy
Did you experience anything wrong with it? I bought the pro kit and my manicure isn’t lasting. The whole nail will peel off and i followed their instructions.. can someone help me?
I am super excited about this! My nails peel really badly too. I find that gel polish lasts on me and will keep the peeling at bay, but the removal is horrible. I like my regular polish collection and if this will help save my nails and still let me change my polish all the time I will be stoked!
I just purchased this set a couple weeks ago and really like it so far. Actually, purchasing the $65 set is cheaper than buying the 3 main products separately LOL. Since Zoya had a 70% off flash sale yesterday I ended up ordering another set (cheaper than one bottle of the gelie cure naked gelie). the main thing that sold me was the removal. I've done at home gel manicures and I hate how hard it is to remove.
I would think so! The base definitely protects when you change polish so you're not using acetone directly on your nails at least for a few polish changes :)
How exciting! This is definitely a must have for me. I do my nails every other day due to chipping and peeling. I’m an obsessive hand washer so my polish doesn’t stand a chance. Thank you so much for your review😘
Great review. Thank you! Regarding the light, according to Doug Schoon who is a scientist, a chemist, every gel product, and while this is demi gel it is still gel, and lamp have been designed to work together. The gel has been designed to harden with a specific lamp. If a different lamp is used, this can lead to under or over curing which can lead to an allergy and can also make the product hard to remove. Please google Doug Schoon and lamps and you will find multiple articles saying this. I know it is tempting to want to use a cheaper lamp or to use one you already have. It is really best to follow the directions that the chemists gave and use the proper equipment. If anyone gets a different lamp than whatever gel product they use, including this Zoya one, make sure it is absolutely identical. My skin developed an sensitivity to acrylics that I had worn for 15 years, and I now can not use any kind of nail enhancements, I can’t wear nail glue. It also took 4-6 months before my skin around my nails was not red and swollen and over a year before my nails were their new normal. I guarantee no one wants this. This is also why I am leaving this comment-to try and help. (Gel and acrylics are basically the same thing. One has an added ingredient and they harden differently.).
Thanks for the tip! Zoya reached out and said this is why they suggest using their own lamp: It’s not necessarily a wattage issue, but our light actually consists of 180° of small lights, which creates a mesh around the nail allowing the bulbs to hit every angle. Many other lights to not offer this same coverage. It is possible to find a cheap light that has this, which is fine - we just recommend making sure it’s nearly identical. So it’s not the wattage, but the positioning of the bulbs.
Im in the uk and have just ordered this kit after seeing it featured in scratch magazine, the thing that attracted me to it was the 'treatment' aspect, so I'm super excited to receive it and get started, it will also be interesting to see how it fairs against my regular gel manis but as I mentioned I'm more interested in the treatment of the natural nail. Thanks so much for doing this video review as it enables me to really get a feel for the product before it actually arrives!
This is definitely going on my wishlist. I’ve stayed away from gel because I have so many regular polishes that I don’t want to waste. But since regular polish is compatible with this system I definitely need to get it. I also have peeling and breaking issues so I hope this helps me. 🤞🏻Thanks for being the crash test dummy for us 😂
I am SO excited to finally see this on the Zoya website and really appreciate you taking the time to do the wear time and everything! Do you know what's going to be included in the $45 kit? I don't need the light but the $65 travel kit saves ~$45 vs buying all the items separately.
@@OliveAvePolish Ahhhh, I was hoping they were going to have a starter kit that didn't include the light. Still, for the price, the package with the light included is a great deal!
Love this detailed video! Has there been an update on this product yet? Definitely getting this system..would like to know how it held up after a month or so. Thanks so much.
So glad to hear this! Hope you continue to enjoy. The lesson I’ve learned is that I have to let the color really really really really dry. And then I have no issues at all!
I feel like your nail twin right now-- flexible, peely, rapid tip-wear (especially on my dominant hand). I've never been a fan of gel manicures as, because of the flexible, peely nature of my nails, I don't get significantly better wear than I typically do with regular polish and it is a big pain to remove. So, I was very curious to learn more about this system and how it works for you. I am impressed! It looks like it really did increase wear time and the removal wasn't a 10-15 minute ordeal that desiccated your hands! I'll be adding this one to my wish list. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and thoughts about the system! :)
It was definitely easier to remove than the last time I had gel! I'm excited to continue playing with it and find the right use for me :) Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks so much for your review. I am really looking forward to trying. I also want to thank you for all of your help. I have struggled with pealing, breaking nails and I am now using the Orly nail strengthening and purchasing some of the vegan nail polish your swatch. I have always loved Zoya, but now am loving Orly, Palette, Lucki and more...💕💅
I'm so glad that you're finding some products that help with the peeling! The orly did wonders for me - I ran out this summer and am having some more peeling recently. Hoping that having a new bottle helps!
Oh My, I think I need this! I have tip wear so so easy too. Very excited about this. Can't wait for your second review after a month! Thank you so much again, Walker!
I know my comment is late but I was on Zoya's website to take advantage of their b1g1 free yesterday and saw this kit and got so excited. My nails are so thin and after only one gel nail mani at the salon my nails peeled so bad. My nails won't hold up to the filing to make gel polish stay on. I love that I can use all my regular polish with it so I purchased the same kit you showed on this video. I didn't have a LED lamp either. I can't wait to try it out. Thank you show this review and wishes I had seen it sooner. Have a great wknd. 😁💅
Great review Walker! This is a really cool kit. I don't have a clue about gel manicures either, so I think it is great that they give you everything you need in one place. I change my polish everyday so this would not be worth it for me, I also keep my nails really short - no free edge at all, but I do think it is great for people who want long nails and who wear polish for a week at a go, etc. Thanks for the detail and effort you put into this video for us! Also Cirque Amethyst looks gorgeous on you! :)
Thanks so much for watching, Helen! It sounds like you have a pretty good routine down for yourself :) I loved Amethyst - so much more than I expected!
What a FANTASTIC review Walker! Thank you for all the time in effort you put into this video. Question though, the claim that you can change your polish multiple times without redoing the base; what polish remover did you use? Also did you notice any peeling/breakdown of the gel base on the first couple of polish changes? I ask bc I know you did 6 changes back to back but on a more realistic scale it would 1-2 changes within a week to two week period.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has the same nail chipping problems! And the peeling/flaking! I wish my nails would get their shit together and stop peeling! I have the same gelie cure system you purchased. I've noticed that if I use the serum, my nail polish will pop off as a whole. I think I'll use the serum as a once a week thing to help my nails.
Oh no! The videos I watched said to use a super small amount, I wonder if using less would help prevent that? Either way hope it helps improve your peeling! It can be so frustrating!
In the Zoya video they specifically said less is more, to not use too much, a tiny pea size for 5 nails. I hope this helps. I am going to buy this product. I love Zoya and this will be my first time using a gel. I too have nails exactly like yours, the chipping and peeling drives me crazy. If Zoya’s system works it will make my nails so much more comfortable and functional. I’ll come back and post my results.
Hi Alejandria! I have really only been using this for weeks when I'm traveling or not going to change my polish for several days for some other reason. I think because I swatch so often this really isn't a practical system for me for every day. BUT I was really happy with the longevity and if I didn't swatch I would likely use it all the time. Hope that helps!
Very interesting and helpful. I’m probably not going to get it as I change my polish every other day and my nails don’t generally have peeling or excessive tip wear, so it just isn’t something I need. If I wanted my polishes to last a long time, though, I think I would splurge.
Really good review. I can't wait to see your nails in a few weeks and further review. For me I don't think I will buy this just yet but I do like the idea of switching polishes couple times a week and not damaging my nails with acetone/ polish remover. Great job and interesting product! Yay Zoya!!!
my nails are like yours and I've been so frustrated with them, they are currently nubs with clearcoat because I just gave up so am looking forward to getting this product, great review, thank you!!
What a great review of a very interesting product! I have similar peeling nail problems - I have a couple things that have worked for me. One - add some oil to your acetone. It works wonders. Two - use kitchen gloves!! Regarding the light - it may work best to use the light that's made to go with the product. It may not cure the same way under another brand light.
Kitchen gloves have been such a huge help for me! I often forget them when I'm just washing one or two things but this will encourage me to remember :)
Hi! Thank for the review! I also got the full kit and will be reviewing it next week. I would love to see a week wear test though or even 2. That is what my clients are expecting of a manicure. I have a feeling there will be some chipping, I hope I’m wrong! Anyway, I’m glad I discovered your channel. Liked and subscribed :) Anna
Welcome! So glad you decided to stick around :) I just wore it for 9 days on a trip and definitely got some chipping. I would expect a week from a traditional gel but I never get a week from normal polish. I'm envious if you're able to do that for your clients! Thanks again for stopping by
Yes, but I think clients would compare it to gel polish manicure and not regular polish manicure. Especially if it needs to be soaked off, I mean wrapped (still soak off method) I get 1-2 weeks with Dazzle Dry system. Have you tried it?
I usually am very anti-DIY gel anything just because I feel I don’t have the skills and patience to do it right, but this definitely got my interest for the benefits it may be able to give me as a base coat... I am curious how it will perform with other nail polishes from other brands. It’s not a crucial purchase for me for now but will be adding it to my Christmas Wish List hahaha... I think I will definitely use it as a base coat in the hopes that it will prevent peeling/breaking but still use lacquer and regular quick-dry top coat on top of it.
I don't know if it'll fit in my budget right now... But maybe after the holidays 🤔 it's definitely going on my list tho... I'll probably skip the extra goodies. I have an LED light already & I just use my foil from my kitchen & tear it into strips 😅
Thank you so much for this review. I do think it’s worth it for polishes that tend to chip fast. I was under the impression that I could change nail polish colors without removing the system completely off my nails. If that were true then I think it’s an excellent product but if it’s not then that’s a shame. By the way the whole video I was staring at the beautiful coral nail polishes in the background, I think they’re from the Zoya brights collection. Looking forward to a retro review.
I'm so excited for this product. I had just about given up with ever having my nails strong and healthy. I'm so hoping this is going to work for me. My nails are like yours in that they peel and chip so easily. They also have a lot of ridges and bumps. I tried acrylic and gel and the removal just damaged my nails even more. I ordered the kit last week with the mini professional light (and got three free nail polishes as well) and it comes in two days and I can hardly stand the anticipation. I plan to take before and after photos of my nails, which are totally trashed. If this works the way it's supposed to it will be a Godsend for me. I think if one is getting gel done at a salon (or acrylics) the cost of this is actually going to be cheaper than going to the salon every 3 weeks. I think the last gel manicure I got was about $45 + tip.
I really hope that this product is everything you want it to be! I think it is a really interesting product that won't be for everyone but certainly has uses for lots of us!
I am very excited about this, I feel like it could help strengthen my nails and make my polish last longer - my nails also peel a lot. I will wait until October 15th and see if they will have some special offer. Thank you so much for such a thorough review!
I’ve never had gels. But now that I’ve become ♿️ I don’t have a lot of energy. So painting less often. So I’ve been thinking about investing in a gel type system. Especially with once it’s cured it’s dry. A big issue for me with regular manis. So I’m glad to have what I’d consider a good starter kit all together. And then maybe do piecemeal once these supplies run out. Zoya is easily my go to brand now. I’m so thrilled. What was the name of the wear test polish? I think it started with an A.
Hi! thanks so much for watching! I don't know but I'm sure if you reached out to Zoya they could tell you! www.zoya.com/content/category/Contact_Us.html
Have you tried using the Rescue Serum and Repair base under regular polish, then use the Gelie-Cure as a top coat? Just wondering if that works 😁 you have beautiful nails!
@Notorious thanks for the reply! I tried using it as I described in my question and it didn't work for me very well. But I found that if I skipped the serum and did 2 coats of the repair base and then a thin coat of the gelie it held up for almost a week! That's with no additional polish though. I tried again doing regular base coat, 2 coats of color, then repair base and gelie on top. it was just ok. lasted about 4 days before wear and peeling. If i don't use the repair base on TOP of the color before the Gelie, it peels off in a day every single time. It's so frustrating!!
+oliveavenails *Art of Beauty definitely has a system for mitigating damage in ZOYA® Naked Manicure Gelie-Cure™.* The multi-diode UV setting lamp works similarly to those from Coty® (severally supporting Sally Hansen® Salon Gel Polish™, O·P·I® GelColor®, &c.), Gelish®, CND® (common to Shellac™ and creative play™), &c.
good to know! I haven't done any lamp research but that is really good to know that there are others out there that are similar in case someone already has one!
So interesting! Definitely very curious about how you end up working it into your routine, and also long term effects on nail appearance/health. Such innovations in nail polish tech these days :O
@@OliveAvePolish That would be a great idea, I would like to get it but was worried about replenishing it being so costly, but using it only on my 2 or 3 problem nails to help with peeling and it would extend for how long the products lasts, I do like to change the color every 3 or 4 days, but sometimes when I do not have time it would be nice to have my manicure last longer, usually it is ruined because my pointer finger will chip due to peeling underneath
Thank you for doing this review!! I'm a caregiver for my husband, so I wash my hands constantly and my nails get worn down, I'm really interested in trying this. My only question is the LED light, it's not going to be harmful?
Hi! Just found this video and considering it for my clients. I currently use Dazzle Dry and my clients have 3 weeks wear with that brand. I thought this system may be good for those needing more strength as well. I’m curious if you’re still getting chipping after a few days or if you abandoned using it all together? I am having similar experience but I’m very hard on my nails too.
Okay, this is my first comment on a RUclips video, which says how much I’m excited about this product! (It’s @thefrenchmanicured here!). Thank you so much for this detailed review, it’s so honest and accurate that it really helps in deciding how I could use it. I think it would be useful for my round-trips to work because usually on these days when I’m not at home, I can’t do my nails! Also, I have a question, I didn’t get the name of the pink polish you test-wore the gelie cure system here! Could you tell me, please? That I can add it to my wish list! 😅
Thanks for this great review! Please tell me the brand/color you’re wearing in this vid. It’s gorgeous and, especially if it’s Zoya, I actually hope I have it already so that I don’t have to add yet another polish to the hundreds of regular and gel polishes I already own. 😅
I needed this in my life I got one of these over quarantine lockdown and I was so confused how to use it. It was a free gift. I’ve been tempted to get the mystery bag they are doing now
Hi Walker, thanks for the review! I was really curious about the product when I saw the videos on Zoya's site. One question though, how long did you wait after applying normal polish before applying gelie-cure above it and curing?
I did wait for it to dry longer than normal- yep! I did the glosy seal hand first and took a short break, then went back so I waited probably closer to about 7 minutes before doing the gelie top and curing. normally I would only wait as long as it takes to do the other hand.
I'm probably the only person that gel polish just doesn't last on me. I can get a regular manicure to last weeks with no chipping and it always look fresh, but gel polish, I'm lucky if I would last 6hrs. It will just pop off. I dont know if its because I have narrow nails with a high c curve or I'm just doing something wrong but I did everything I'm supposed to but I just can't keep gel polish on. So I like the idea but not sure if it's for me.
Has anyone compared this to dazzle dry? This seems great I am just concerned because I got regular gel manicures for about 6 months and my once strong nails got weak and brittle. I never dreamed my nails could be that bad. I want to try it but I'm afraid.
What I want to know is.. would the lamp work with other gel brands of different color?? If anyone knows and has tried let me know please I’m thinking about buying the $85 kit
Are you left or right handed? That could be a factor in the comparisons of the wear time. You said you used the new product on your left hand, regular Naked Mani stuff on the right which looked really bad on day 5.
That was my question, too, Sondra! And thanks, Walker, for the answer... I suspected you'd use your dominant hand for the test! My chipping is much worse on my dominant hand. I'm definitely going to give this a try now. Would love to be able to extend my wear!
@@OliveAvePolish Have you ever tried any other nail strengthener besides the Orly one? I thought you use the Orly product because it did improve your nails. However, from this video, you say you have peeling and very flexible nails. I have two nails on my right dominant hand (middle and index) which often peel. My other 8 are fine. I have been using the Nailtiques formula 2 on the two that peel. It seems to have helped the middle finger, not so much the index.
I just looked up their "nail foundation priming base coat" and unfortunately it isn't vegan :( Their horse power base coat is from what I saw so I'll keep an eye out for that one.
I recently bought this and I’m a bit disappointed. I’m not entirely sure it’s my fault but I can’t get to seem to have this last. Within 1-2 days my polish it peeling off. I used this as a base for regular polish and it chips just as fast if not sooner then when I use my sticky base coat instead
I mostly use a strengthening base coat and try to buff them smooth every time I take polish off to prevent further peeling. I also hydrate all the time with cuticle oil/cream/anything. The strengthener from orly I use (I link it in my description box) has made a huge difference in my peeling but it isn't completely solved quite yet! Hoping this product helps!
Zoya suggests that you always use the lamp that is meant to be used with a particular polish. I say.. it is probably fine to swap lamps and polish brands! :)
I think that Zoya is a little bit late to the game with this. All gel nail polish can be used as a base and topcoat for regular polish. My only gels are by Jamberry TruShine and the tops and base coats can be used like this too. They can even be put over nail wraps. Anyways, I change my polish every two days so gels have never really been for me...
You definitely can but I don't think they're all specially formulated for it. I have never tried but have heard you have to wait a really long time for the polish to dry first. I could be mistaken! But you're right, this product isn't revolutionary - but it is good at what it claims to do!
I believe it still is from what I can tell on their website and the packaging. If you have a concern about an ingredient though I suggest emailing them just to triple check!
I would pass on this. I use Madam Glam's base and top to protect my nails. I haven't chipped or broke a nail in 3 mos. Plus i use regular nail polish on top and just swap out mani's that way
Can you answer this: Is an LED light safer than a UV light? That is, can the LED cause damage to the skin the way a UV light can? Thanks.

I'm interested in this. I like that you can use it with regular polish colors in your collection.
That’s my favorite part too!
This is definitely going on my wishlist. I’ve stayed away from gel because I have so many regular polishes that I don’t want to waste. But since regular polish is compatible with this system I definitely need to get it. I also have peeling and breaking issues so I hope this helps me. 🤞🏻Thanks for being the crash test dummy for us 😂
So glad you found the review helpful! Thank you for watching
I am SO excited to finally see this on the Zoya website and really appreciate you taking the time to do the wear time and everything! Do you know what's going to be included in the $45 kit? I don't need the light but the $65 travel kit saves ~$45 vs buying all the items separately.
You can actually see the listing here! www.zoya.com/content/item/Zoya/Gelie-Cure-Foundation-Travel-and-Mini-LED-Light-USB.html
Wondering the same thing- please give an update!
agreed! update on the longevity of color lasting would be amazing!
Based on your review, I bought this and so far love it. Your review completely matches my experience. Thank you!
So glad you're interested in it, Sigrid! Thank you for watching
I'm so glad that you think this system will help! I hope you enjoy it
Great review Walker!
You answered my question in the first two minutes of the video and I love you for it.
So glad I could help! Thanks for watching ❤
Thank you! And yes, I do think you could do 1-2 changes and be totally fine. I used the remove + that was included in my kit!
Hello again! So my test didn’t go so well. I have it posted in my channel. Such bummer. The removal was super easy though.
Can you do an update on this system and if it’s making a difference on your nails.
Makes sense! I haven’t used it as much as I planned to I think also because I change polish frequently.
Really good review. I can't wait to see your nails in a few weeks and further review. For me I don't think I will buy this just yet but I do like the idea of switching polishes couple times a week and not damaging my nails with acetone/ polish remover. Great job and interesting product! Yay Zoya!!!
Thanks for watching!
my nails are like yours and I've been so frustrated with them, they are currently nubs with clearcoat because I just gave up so am looking forward to getting this product, great review, thank you!!
I hope it works for you! I’ve been loving it for traveling now!
Especially if it needs to be soaked off, I mean wrapped (still soak off method)
I get 1-2 weeks with Dazzle Dry system.
It is always fun to add to our wishlists, isn't it?? Thank you for watching
Looking forward to seeing you talk about how you like it after several wears.
I don't know if it'll fit in my budget right now... But maybe after the holidays 🤔 it's definitely going on my list tho... I'll probably skip the extra goodies. I have an LED light already & I just use my foil from my kitchen & tear it into strips 😅
Kitchen foil makes so much sense lol, I've never thought of that!
You definitely can! I swatched 6 polishes and had some of the base come off but 1-2 changes are definitely possible! Thanks so much for watching
Olive Ave Nails thanks!
I'll definitely keep you posted on how my nails are looking after I continue to use it! Thanks for watching
This sounds like it could be great for you! Areej was the wear test ❤️❤️
HI Walker, do you know if you can use the systeem if you are allergic to acrylic??? Thanks for the video. XOXO from the Netherlands 💅🏼💅🏼
Hi! thanks so much for watching! I don't know but I'm sure if you reached out to Zoya they could tell you! www.zoya.com/content/category/Contact_Us.html
Great review! Thank you for the detailed info.!
Same here! Still figuring out how to work it in. I might just wear it on nails that tend to peel more for me, honestly! But I'll keep you posted :)
That is a great question! Here's an article with a little more information www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/safety-of-led-nail-lamps
Hi! Unfortunately I haven't used this system in a few years so can't speak to how it holds up anymore. I enjoyed it when I did use it! Best of luck
Your first comment!! Hello :) The pink polish was Areej!
Great review! what zoya nail color was the pinki-purple that you wear?
Zoyas areej! ❤️❤️
Thanks for this great review! Please tell me the brand/color you’re wearing in this vid. It’s gorgeous and, especially if it’s Zoya, I actually hope I have it already so that I don’t have to add yet another polish to the hundreds of regular and gel polishes I already own. 😅
I'm wearing cirque colors amethyst in this video :) I always list it in the description box of each video if your're ever curious in the future1
Thanks a bunch! 💜
I needed this in my life I got one of these over quarantine lockdown and I was so confused how to use it. It was a free gift. I’ve been tempted to get the mystery bag they are doing now
I'm so glad to help! The mystery bag seems like such a fun surprise :)
Hi Walker, thanks for the review! I was really curious about the product when I saw the videos on Zoya's site. One question though, how long did you wait after applying normal polish before applying gelie-cure above it and curing?
I waited about 7-10 minutes. That is longer than I normally wait :)
Olive Ave Nails Thank you! I think I’m going to get it and give it a try. :)
When you used it as a top coat, did you have to wait for the regular polish to fully dry first?
Hmm! I haven't tried gel enough to know how different the wear time of this was on me. But I was definitely happy with it!
I don't know... I feel like it's a lot of work. I'm curious to try it though.
definitely more steps than a normal mani! But it was fun to play with!
Do you have any update on this product? Do you still use it? How's it going??
Hi! I don't use it often because I change my polish frequently. I use it when I travel but I don't travel much these days 😅
Are you left or right handed? That could be a factor in the comparisons of the wear time. You said you used the new product on your left hand, regular Naked Mani stuff on the right which looked really bad on day 5.
I’m left handed! And yep I used the gelie cure on my left.
I would LOVE for you to do a review on Butter London’s base coat treatments.. soooo amazing duno if they’re vegan hmm 🤔
I just looked up their "nail foundation priming base coat" and unfortunately it isn't vegan :( Their horse power base coat is from what I saw so I'll keep an eye out for that one.
Olive Ave Nails omgosh! ☺️ yeah that base coat is THE best imo I’m so excited you replied! 💜 have a great weekend Walker!!
Thank you!!
My nails peel the same way. What do you do about it? I really need help.
🧡🍂🧡🍁🧡
I mostly use a strengthening base coat and try to buff them smooth every time I take polish off to prevent further peeling. I also hydrate all the time with cuticle oil/cream/anything. The strengthener from orly I use (I link it in my description box) has made a huge difference in my peeling but it isn't completely solved quite yet! Hoping this product helps!
can you use this light for other gel polishes
Zoya suggests that you always use the lamp that is meant to be used with a particular polish. I say.. it is probably fine to swap lamps and polish brands! :)
@@OliveAvePolish thank you
I think that Zoya is a little bit late to the game with this.
Is this product still the 10big free? Regular polishes give me fibromyalgia.
I believe it still is from what I can tell on their website and the packaging. If you have a concern about an ingredient though I suggest emailing them just to triple check!
Is this range of zoya still non-toxic like their other polishes?
Yes!
You have such a cute little nose. Glad I watched this, the instructions that come with the kit are super confusing.
so glad you found it helpful!
I always get chips within 2 days lol!
you're not alone, my friend!
I would pass on this. I use Madam Glam's base and top to protect my nails. I haven't chipped or broke a nail in 3 mos. Plus i use regular nail polish on top and just swap out mani's that way
great that you have another product that works! I'm eager to try Madam glam- I've heard great things.
