    As one Dinosaur to another I got it!!!!!!!Yippee!!!!! I would definitely buy this system were it not for the fact I fitted the Innov cameras front and rear. However this has more features and has got me thinking about changing! The blind spot detection system is worth it alone. Be well and catch you later.

    Dave,
    There is also an AOI-5 Play version, it does the same as your AOI-5 Lite, but doesn't have the camera's which makes it cheaper.
    They are in also launching a BMW edition of the AOI-5 Play which will fit into the BMW cradle.
    Chigee customer service is excellent, FedEx Ireland lost my unit and Chigee have been extremely efficient helpful in sorting it. If only FedEx were as easy to deal with.

    Good review, covers off a lot. Agreed it would be good to be able to remove the unit at night for security. I'd also like to add the ability to connect to and stop/start recording on action camera's to the "features wish list", as it would be helpful for camera's mounted to unreachable locations (when on the move)

    Thanks for this; does the system act purely as a mirror of the phone or can it act as a stand alone gps? So if in an area with poor network coverage, will it work without having the maps downloaded to the phone in advance??

    • @WheelieGoodTV
      @WheelieGoodTV  8 дней назад

      Now this is a good question. So at the moment it just mirrors the phone but it does have a gps unit which I have also installed. Rumours are in the near future they will make it a stand alone GPS because of this and also store GPX files on the SIM card. This would make it incredible. 👌

  • @49googie
    @49googie 10 дней назад

    This stuff is ok till you have no phone signal , ie when touring a few weeks ago I had no signal crossing switzerland because my package only included EU and Switzerland is not in it like us in the UK, so only as good as your phone and for that money you can get a dedicated sat nav .

    • @WheelieGoodTV

    • @quatron---
      @quatron--- 11 дней назад +1

      @@WheelieGoodTV basically what’s happening now is the fuse clamp is holding more stuff. So the clamp is loosening, the fuse itself is now held by a bit of clamp and a bit of loose wire that’s being held by the other side of the clamp which is not made to do this, so the risk of it shaking loose is definetly there.
      U don’t have to redo all the wiring, but that wire should definetly be done properly. Either by soldering or decent connectors.
      For someone with the materials and skills it’s about a 10 minute job.
