I think what people are trying to say is: new quilters are trying to process what you are doing and keep it in our brain. The interruptions throw us off balance. (Our train of thought). I love both of you together. I do think waiting till the end for questions would be great idea. Both of you are wonderful and I enjoy your videos. 💕💕
And slow up alittle
And constant changing of subject from whatever she is saying.
Men and woman process differently, so it is like throwing info at us from different view points and never connecting the dots...........If her husband did it alone he would reach people, if she does it alone she will reach people.......but not both at the same time.
That pointsettia at the end is THE BEST of all tut's over all these years. GREAT JOB MISTY !!!
the poinsettia block is DARLING and I def want to turn it into a placemat by adding a wide strip on one side with a little pocket to slide silverware in!
I just did a quick review of the tutorial that Jenny did for this pattern in 2015. I notice that she constructed the stars using a little bit different method, snowballing the points of the star after the quadrant was constructed. I really like being able to see both methods! There are often multiple ways to approach a pattern. Thanks Misty and the MSQC crew!
Good Evening Misty and everyone. This is a beautiful little quilt, and I love it. Misty you did a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing this video. Happy sewing and quilting.❤️🧵😀
Hello from Atlanta, Georgia....Thanks for sharing your talent with us quilters. God Bless you and your families.
Love both quilts and fabrics🥰 the microphone situation was so funny 🤣
That fabric collection is beautiful.
Oh my this is very pretty, I just love the surprise of a table runner for Christmas. Well done Misty...
Love the greens in the sample block. Yay, for your ‘What if’ moment.
Wonderful quilt pattern, fabric choice, and color selections, Misty! I finished my own version of this recently using the same fabric collection but one row longer. I even tried to replicate your color selections in each block because they make my eyes do a happy dance, and...it turned out beautifully!! One of my favorite quilts ever. Thank you for the inspiration, MSQC ♥️
This is the prettiest version of the ribbon star! I love your use of bright colours, Misty. Cheers from Nova Scotia, Canada
I love the pattern and Misty is great but please stop interrupting her. She doesn’t need your help. The interruptions are very distracting.
Misty, You make it look so easy! Wish it was for me. Love watching you!
Great job Misty! You’re an excellent teacher! Love the quilt and the poinsettia block idea!
I have thought perhaps "Misty" was being trained to fill Jenny's spot for the Friday tutorials a few weeks ago. I'm glad that there just so much to do there at MSQC that Jenny is STILL doing the FRIDAY videos and that we will be able to ENJOY a few more VIDEOS from MSQC.
I do like Misty's videos....she's really good at teaching quilting as well.
I love this Quilt Misty!
I like it that Jake & Misty interact with each other! :)
I love the ribbon quilt you made. Im looking forward to making this soon
I love the colour combinations in this quilt, it's so vibrant. Thanks for the tutorial. I am going to give this a go perhaps this weekend.
Love your tutorials. Love the ribbon quilt. Nancy from Michigan
I love a block that looks difficult but you show it is easy!
Love the colors on the quilt.
You have to show us the full new Poinsettia quilt! It is such a cute block!!! Love the colors you choose for your quilt! Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!! Can't wait to see what the New Year brings!
we have the same phone case :). Love this quilt - I've been saving a rainbow ombre dots fat quarter bundle for just the right quilt...this is it!
Love this quilt you are so cheerful love watching you
P
Off topic: Misty, I love your bracelet!!
Love the quilt, too. 🥰
This is one of my favorite patterns. So beautiful! I agree with another viewer that this would look fantastic in Christmas colors/prints. Thanks!
really enjoy both the presentation and the pattern.....have to put this on my top 15 must do list
I think she is doing her best on her videos both are helping each other. There is going to be questions. I’m sure they will be organize little by little
Misty I love your ideas and tutorials. An added bonus for the week
I love Jake AND Misty. I think its nice to have his input along the way. Makes it a different format. He is also channeling actual viewers, so give him a break. Sometimes we (viewers) have questions we arrogantly want answers to right away. I think he does a great job of timing the questions with the teaching. Love it all.
Me too, it's sorta like we are there in person like when a bunch of us get together and sew and ther
There is give and take while we are learning and sewing.
This’s one-off my favorite tutorial!❤️ the mic thing is hilarious! 😆
Misty! So cute with your hair that way and the glasses! 😘Love the poinsettia Block! Definitely want to make placemats like that!
Love your star quilt. Thank you.
Misty , I just found this tutorial and I can tell you already that I love this GEORGEOUS quilt !! I never find them when the fabric is new . It is always sold out when I come across your tutorials. 😥

Oh i luv your take on this block/quilt. So pretty. Im going to make this quilt like this one. Luv the poinsettia one also. You do a great job 😊🎄
Thank you
I have one of "Jenny's" irons and just love it. It is beautiful and has that MSQCO comfort feeling. Thanks. Love this quilt and Misty and Jake and crew.
Oh Lynn you can't go wrong with an Oliso -especially a Jenny Oliso !!!😍🌷🌻🌹🌺🎀
No One is getting bored from Misty showing the process. But we do get bored of Interruptions........how rude to say people are getting bored by Misty.
AGREE 100
Yes. The running questions are irritating. Also the guy's voice has an extremely Annoying tone.
Don’t need to see her sew every piece together.
I find if I always match ends and start sewing my seams at the point end, I don't lose them. If you need to trim a little, it's always on the other end, not the point end. I'm making this block and it's working. Also, when you snowball the strips, press each size a different direction. That way, you get the perfect famous nest...which I am so thankful for!!!
Absolutely beautiful quilt!! Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial Misty, you are such a great teacher!! Love you guys and Happy Holidays!!
Love what you did Misty. Great Job and a wonderful tutorial. Going to make place-mats and table runner for my husband's cousin for Xmas. Happy Holidays
Southern Indiana here. Love you all!
Lisa I'm in Texas but have a very good friend in New Albany!
Thanks to Mary for looking up the Block issue. I have every issue and it takes a while to find a particular pattern. I utilize the index on the website and the search function on tutorial site also. So many patterns and not enough time!
I do enjoy Misty's tutorials. She explains everything so well. I do get frustrated by the interruptions, but I guess that is part of a live tutorial.
AMEN
South Africa's in the house.
Omg
The interruption was very annoying… there was no need for all his comments.. in the middle of her speaking…she knows what she’s doing!!
Fantastic color combinations Misty. 👍
So enjoying your lesson your go a little slower than Jenny 😊 thank you.
The poinsettia block was adorable. Love the quilt. Thank you sooooo much.
Good morning from Bakersfield,Ca. Luv your vids. Thank You so much........Teri
This really was a wonderful video, but I do agree with some of the comments regarding the interruptions, I wish questions could be saved to the end and interceptions made only when absolutely necessary. All in all, excellent tutorial.
The whole tutorial was hard to follow because of all of his interruptions …
Love this! You are just so cute, Misty.
Fabulous poinsettia! You are a genius! ......and I have that issue! 🌺
Have had this pattern for ages, now that I have been watching your tutorial will definitely be making it, no more excuses. Thanks for a great tutorial. Veronica, Cape Town, South Africa
Super fun and so creative...Merry Christmas!
Pre wound bobbins! Does that mean that you throw them away once they are empty and buy another one? It takes about one minute to wind a bobbin, surely you would be saving all that plastic production and use them again and again, by winding your own. I have bobbins that I have been using for over 20 years. Just do a little recycling and wind your own people. Love the videos, keep em coming xx
Hi from rainy Florida
Not yet
Thank you for saying which Block Magazine issue the quilt can be found. I own all but this year’s Block Magazine. It saved me time searching.
Love the poinsettia block ❤️
That was the best video thank you. 😊I love it when you break it down to a block at a time .
"Until you have kids?" Are you KIDDING me. Tried again. DONE again.
Misty you are a genius!
What a cute quilt ... love your ah ha moment
I don't get to catch y'all live anymore 😢since I work full time now but I catch the replay(thank you for replays)😁. Misty I love the way you did your hair today! ❤️y'all!! Your quilt is beautiful!
Misty! Luv, Luv your quilt & surprise poinsettia BLOCK! Excellent!!!
do a table runner with the christmas patten!!
Good Morning! From Indiana!
You make it look so easy. Another you tube lady said if you buy the prewound bobbins, they last way longer. when you rewind you might have to do 3 times.
Hi Misty, Happy New Year ☺️ Now that the Holidays have passed, I am going to make this quilt and I’m so excited! I’ve watched the video a few more times, just to be sure of myself. Love this quilt 💖💜👍💗❤️💕
Thank you. Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Good morning, from beautiful Grand Manan, NB, Canada. Beautiful island life.
Wow on the poinsettia block!! 🤩🤩🤩
This was a LIVE tutorial....hence the interaction! Love your quilt Misty🥰, & the “ah ha” moment!
Love the poinsettia version too!
I always buy PRE-WOUND bobbins......I have a Viking/Husqvarna Designers SE
I want to get a smaller Embroidery Sewing machine to take to my friends and or my sister when we sew together! :)
Hello from Tripoli Iowa !! Love the quilt and material 😍
This is adorable and the fabric is perfect for it! I will absolutely be making the poinsettia block and add a gold center for mine to give it some Christmas glitz. Love this idea. I know just who to make a quilt as a gift for this year so thank you so much for the beautiful design ideas.
Yes, the Christmas color block is adorable!!
I had to go watch Jenny’s tutorial. Misty didn’t finish. I feel she was interrupted and to much messing around. I feel this way with every tutorial she does. :(
The positive is, I love the colors she chose.
I think having the camera man/husband talking takes away a lot.
The only problem is those pre wound bobbins you guy's sell are polyester thread. I may be wrong but was always taught to only use cotton thread when quilting.
Beautiful job!!
Hi from Anchorage Alaska.
camera guy, please HUSH! Geesh
I mean I love love msq but I’m so over him stopping her.
It's part of their dynamic as husband and wife. He isn't just a "camera guy". Most people love them talking to each other. I do :-)
She needs to be given a chance to do the tutorial without having to explain the end before she is finished with the beginning.
I have enjoyed so many tutorials and learnt a great deal. A big fan from New South Wales Australia. Hoping to get to Missouri next September.
Wow.... I guess now we know why Jake "moved on" to other opportunities. With all these negative comments about his interrupting (a "Live" event where he's trying to give voice to the comments in real time), it's no wonder he felt he was not being appreciated. Maybe "Live" events don't work well for tutorials? Just for Q&A's (maybe for last week's tutorial?) would be best served by the "Live" format?
Hello from Louisiana!
Oh my goodness I love the poinsettia block
Hello from Australia...
I love the way you and Jake chat back and forth. Way to go Misty! Sandy from Salt Lake. We had a storm alert come on our phone.
Love the quilt and love watching Misty and Jake!!!
They're a darlin 💑 couple
Snowing here . good quilting day Nora in Pa.
Good morning, from South Louisiana
Beautiful!
I might make this using Christmas fabrics 🎉 Betty
28:59 just keeping it real. Lol great video 💙🐝💙
Love love love your videos! Great job!!
Your manual will tell you if your machine is low or high stank bobbin, it does matter 10:58
