Same here in New Jersey Steve, very hot and humid late spring and summer. I see the signs of fall coming too, some trees are beginning to change and the garden is slowing down! Got to like the sun going down earlier, gives me more reason to sit down. You mentioned about the kneeling at the games and your dislike and how it turned you away from the games. Well we followed Nascar for years until corporate America bought them and they went woke, we didn't agree with their changed policies and shut them down also. I've done the same for Nascar. Used to love watching the races even been to the Richmond race a few times. They got away from their roots and base. Now they can't fill the stands. Sometimes I believe I'm just an old man that can't handle change. I remember how good sports were and it just isn't the same now for me. That's just nuts. Usually August is like that here, not that hot but very warm. So far it's been more like Sept. with this week getting down into the 50's at night. I expect it to turn around and be hot in Sept. and Oct. Thanks. Steve
I bet it has. At least so far there hasn't been any Hurricanes for you. The worst time for them is just getting started though. I've never been to Louisiana myself but know about the heat Y'all get. We've been to Florida and Georgia quite a bit. I bet Fall is a relief for Y'all. Take care. Steve
We have the same thing going on with the weather here in California. It’s been a horribly hot summer with way more days over 100 than normal. So far August has been great and I’m starting to feel the signs of Fall myself. I enjoy the change of seasons but I think Fall is my favorite. We have a lot of fun in the summer but I don’t care for the heat.
The Summer is a fun time of year but the heat just gets to you after awhile. Spring and Fall are great. Just feels like Fall is fast approaching a little earlier than usual. Thanks. Steve
I can tell things are changing too. You can smell it. Less light and the sun doesn't seem as strong. I'm probably hallucinating but every year, when the ironweed blooms, I know it's only a matter of a few short weeks. Now where's that snow shovel?
I usually feel it. Things just feel different. Cooler mornings, tinted leaves, garden starting to play out etc. Summer is on it's way out and Fall is on the way. Haven't needed to use the snow shovel in a couple years I hope it's still in good shape. I think this winter I'll need it. Take care. Steve
