When people talk about the game performance, they act like this is new for PC ports. Elden Ring struggled to maintain 60fps on a 3090 of all things at the time.

@@ogaimon3380 I am pretty sure that the hardcore elements of the game were built around mtx so if they weren't there in the first place the design of the game would have been different. The fast travel for example, or the resurrection stones mechanic. Capcom has become EA

Agreed while not everyone was fan of their games as its not possible to appease everyone and they were ignoring a lot of their IPs but most of the stuff they released after Street Fighter 5 was good, they probably hated the 6 to 7 years of good reputation they garnered and went back to the scummy practices alongside one of the most unoptimized game for PC and there have been quite a few of those recently.

We now live in a time where Cyberpunk is considered the 'good' game ruined by bad practices from Capcom. I can't believe projekt RED got away with it. Their game was completely broken on release date.

It worked for "No Man's Sky" with their false promises, of course other companies would follow that formula. Hell, 343i released unfinished Halo games several times and all they had to do was say "we're sorry", offer a few freebies, and slowly release the content that was promised to be included on launch day.
Gamers also have forgotten about Microsoft's "always online" debacle. Now games have gotten so large in size that now you can only download them, and so incomplete that you need regular patches just to even play the games.
They had a buggy release for sure. It was bad. But they didn't sell micro transactions.

You are entitled to only one playtyrough. There is no option to restart it or start a new playthrough. There is literally no new game button. And go amd try to tinker withe the save files to start a new one manually. U will be banned from your own singleplayer game that you bought

if it was made by capcom we wouldn't have had to wait for 3 years for the game to be good after lunch, dragons dogma 2 is a great game, it's hard to run but if it works on your pc it's easily one of the best games out there
You know Dragon's Dogma 2's microtransactions don't work that way, it doesn't inhibit your gameplay nor does it prevent you from getting the items from just playing the game.
As long as you aren't a sucker that often buys microtransactions, you don't need to worry about it, ever.

I dont understand this "MTX are not a good value" argument cause that only reinforces the point many have that they shouldn't be there at all.
Fact of the matter its the "Slow boiling frog" idiom in action and all those who bring up that argument are falling for it.
The point of that Idiom is that if you just put a frog into boiling water its gonna jump out immediately whereas if you put a frog into warm water that increases in temp slowly over time, the frog will sit until it is cooked.
It starts with "easily ignored inconsequential things" and upon game releases, they get a little more bolder, start fabricating issues that dont need to exist but can be solved a lot easier with a payment of more time or money.
The MTX in DD2 while still something that can be ignored, is more aggressive than it was in DMC5 and RE4R, Its only gonna get more and more aggressive.
Theyre gonna start tryna replace more common stuff people can normally do for free and locking them behind a time/money barrier.
Capcom counts on two types of people to make this work and that are those who forget the old attempts at MTX or even worse those who try to excuse it cause its "not a big deal".
They are wrong.
These people are the reason why a "simple horse armor skin" morphed into a billion dollar slot machine like industry, and will only (even if unintentionally) make this shit worse.
The only way to stop this (if it even can be stopped) is to remind those who forget and push back on people arguing for complacency.

I've tried to watch penguinz0's first impression video about the game, but just gave up after the 10th crash during character creation.
Cyberpunk at release was in a better shape on PC.

RE4 remake even crashes today once in a while despite being above 60 fps and it's blurry for no reason and only cure is to have image quality set to 200

Well, one thing is different between CP2077 launch and DD2 launch. When CP2077 launched it didn't have framerate going from 70 to 13, at least for me. I suspect Capcom is going to launch Optimization DLC for $12.99
for me its 100-80fps at 4k with raytracing without upscaling ;v

This is what happens to companies with high popularity, exactly what happened to Ubisoft and EA (let's not forget Microsoft and 8th Gen).
