I bought the Neverfull MM 6 years ago for $1230, it was my first LV bag and first designer back overall! I only use it for travel now but I can't imagine ever getting rid of it!! Also pointed out the price because I just learned the MM is now priced at $1500, wow!

My 1st LV, over 8 years ago, was the Retiro - GM..it was excellent during my working days as a Recruiter & getting to put documents in it & other work items. It sat in my closet for years after I stopped working in 2013 & I was able to sell it to my dear SWEEEET sister-n-law last Oct, whose money helped me purchase a CLASSIC...I got the Speedy-B 30 which I adore & perfect for my body frame. I know most people are “crazy in love” with the 25 size but it just wasn’t quite the right fit for me knowing I would be moving to NYC & I didn’t want to be limited in what I can carry since I no longer have a car (by choice) since my family & I moved in Jan 2020..this pandemic here has been NUTS so all of my fashionable items are just stored away while I “live” in lounge wear😩
I tried to buy preloved but I can’t see myself spending all that money on a used bag when I can buy from the actual boutique or website. No guarantee they are authentic either.

Yes!! My first few luxury bags were from LV. I think it’s because a lot of them are very casual in style and fit in well to the every day girl’s lifestyle, and because their classic bags are a reasonable price point .
Excellent advice. When I am thinking of buying a high end designer bag a question I always ask myself is, do I see myself still wearing this when I am 80? As I can only buy one every few years this is a big consideration for me. What I like to do is stick with the classics that will always be there in neutral colours when I buy a high end bag. If I want to play with pops of colour or trendy designs then I will buy a contemporary brand. That has worked well for me. Actually, amazingly enough, I jumped in the deep end with my first high end bag and bought a Chanel, the Diana bag. It was 1990 and it was only AUD800 (around US500 in today’s exchange rates) so it wasn’t such a dramatic thing to do as it would be today. I still use it all these years later and it still looks fantastic, so it turned out to be a good buy.

My first designer bag is Chanel! I was gonna go for a speedy b 25 or 30 brand new, but I knew I would be "settling" because I was really in love with the classic flap. So when I found a preloved lilac classic flap i saved up for it and got it. I still love it now. I have an vernis alma bb on its way, and really tempted to purchase a mono canvas next but the horror stories about cracking glaze and price increases are making me think twice. Great video xx
Same here! In fact my first 5 designer bags are all Chanel classics because I thought, when im "poorer" ill take good care of my Chanels. When i become super rich in future i might buy an LV or 2 to "abuse", my mom called me weird >.< I must say though, that i think LV is such a great brand in terms of quality and cost, compared to Chanel.
I love Louis Vuitton it's one of my favorite designer brands, I recently ordered me and my sister I a new lv bag from the website *BAGXGO.COM* and we love them so much, got them for super cheap.

I can definitely relate to what you are saying, for my first designer bag that I purchased was the Chloe tess bag and if I had done my research I would have realised that I preferred it in another colour which I could actually get cheaper - but I bought it when i was going through some emotional difficulty and it was supposed to be a retail therapy and now all i want to do is sell the bag and use the money to buy something that I actually want. I wanna just add quickly, if you’re buying LV and you want it to be a leather bag, consider Epi leather - it’s thick and sturdy, holds its shape and is just super easy, I’ve been using an Epi leather wallet so much every day and never really babied it and it looks brand new after a year! Literally no flaws! 🥰 On the other hand, their Vernis patent leather seems to wear quickly and is prone to color transfer, wanted to get one but saw that all preloved bags in Vernis just look so worn!
My first designer bag was Prada. Never been a fan of anything LV, but I found your video helpful and insightful. My next designer bag will be a Lady Dior, timeless.
When i bought my pochette metis i was told that the glazing has a life time warranty so if I ever had any issue with the glazing, I would take it back. Granted it's not a proper solution, but at least it is comforting to know they realise they have an issue with the glazing and they are willing to at least replace or fix the bag. 😁🤷🏾♀️

Astghik G I have a 12 year old monogram Beverley GM (discontinued at least 8 years ago). They’ve already replaced the clip on the front once, I stopped using it as my everyday throw around bag about 5 years ago because the canvas started cracking at the top of the folds (nothing major, but since I can’t just get a new one, enough to make me precious about it). The epi leather is my go to at Louis Vuitton, I’ve never had a problem with any of my bags/ purses/ clutches in epi leather (I know not everyone likes it, but I love it). I plan to get the Alma BB I always wanted in epi leather sometime this year, (unless they show me something I like better, which is usually what happens...).

I have always preferred regular leather as opposed to patent leather. Patent leather scratches easily and never develops that nice worn soft leather. It also sticks out as opposed to going unnoticed.

The Empreinte leather is extremely durable, I would say very on par with Canvas.
