I am married , and find her tips actually help me in the work place. As a woman, in my field, it is important to be seen as put together and classy to be taken seriously. IEVA Kambarovaite , my BFF was appalled when she asked if I had a brush she could borrow, and I told her no. Curly hair = no brush. I have a wide tooth comb. Needless to say, because I am a good friend, I bought a brush to keep in my glove compartment for her hair emergencies.

IEVA Kambarovaite , thank you so much. This world is a tough place sometimes, so I try to have things that my friends might need. It is my love language. I have no need for monthly products, but I keep a tiny bag in my car for my friends, and I keep supplies at my home as well.
What’s a brush? The only time a brush hits my head is when I go to get a haircut and they have to brush the knots out. I just use my fingers to comb through it in the shower with conditioner. Curly girls unite! 😂
@@jbunk2109 I've found my curls like when I brush them just before washing my hair. Gently starting from the ends.. A wooden brush works well for me.

Instead of a hairbrush I actually really like to bring an all metal comb. For me it's much better for detangling and the metal helps to keep static down!

I instead like wooden comb. Sandalwood is most luxurious wood. It smells good and is wery hard. I use also plastic ones.

I would suggest a power bank from a brand called Anker. I think they are the best. Mine gives me 4.5 -5 full recharges.
Also have Anker. It gives 4-5 charges to your phone. It also fully charges iPad. Really recommend Anker

I have thin hair and have recently switched to wooden combs instead of brushes, this has helped a lot with static and split ends. hope this helps

Mason Pearson bristle brush . Highly recommended.
I had one but the bristles came out. I ended up buying a Morocco method one and works as good but more durable.

Agree. Mason Pearson bristle brush is amazing- it is a real boar bristle brush, it stimulates hair follicles and gives a wonderful scalp massage. I have it for over a year and love it so much. Just make sure to buy the right one for your hair type. I have fine hair and Mason Pearson has the brush for fine hair.
I had one and got rid of it as, even though it had a mix of natural and nylon bristles it didn't go through my fine hair well enough. The plastic they use now also melts under the heat of a hairdryer. I prefer Denman. Same style but better functionality and price.

Loved this video, Anna! I would also love to see a lookbook for winter. Not so much focused on brands but pieces most of us may already have in our closets or could easily buy with any budget to recreate. 💛

If you're in America, I recommend Nasonex antihistamine nasal spray. I've been using it for a few years with no side effects. It helps tremendously with my chronic rhinitis
Yes, I was going to ask the same thing basically - a video about etiquette for those more awkward circumstances and behaviors that we all cannot avoid but must somehow be handled in a classy way around supervisors at work and meeting new people for lunch.

I used to have a small Fitbit that was a clip on, I clipped it onto my bra and it was completely invisible! I used the Fitbit app to look at my steps/heart rate during the day x

Mason Pearson are good hairbrushes for sleek hair. In my experience the brush can make your hair static in winter but you can spray a litle bit hairspray on your brush before brushing your hair to prevent this ;)

I freak out when I run out of them, that’s why I buy multiple at once lol and chewing gums. I’m obsessed with having a fresh breath so I recently bought a mouth spray, too. My pet peeve when people don’t notice how bad their breath is 🤦🏻♀️

Whatever bag you have .... Keep it super clean and tidy. Never carry more than you need. For me, it is a Kindle, a waterproof fabric bag that holds a small book and reading glasses on one side, and a change of earrings (in case I am going day to evening), medications, dog treats/bags on the other side. Small handbag tidy with day and night lipsticks, comb, tissues, handcream, tweezers, rose scented mouthwash. And depending on country .... Sunglasses, little cardie (for air conditioning). I also usually have a water bottle and a single Fortnum's wrapped chocolate (diabetic).

I think you'll love Tek brushes. They're handmade in Italy, out of wood, with wood pins. Wood is fantastic for hair, and you definitely won't get the "electric hair" problem!

Anna, if you go to a nail salon, have them use "Gel Polish". About $35 w/manicure here in U.S. It makes your nails look gorgeous and it's CHIP-PROOF! I haven't had a nail polish chip in 7 years. It lasts until you take it off. I could never go back to regular messy nail polish.
SO happy to see this Vintage Anna Bey video! I was searching for "Anna Bey tote" and this video came up. (Love the bag!) I love lip balm, as well. The only thing that I carry, that Anna Bey doesn't, is dental floss or flossers. I keep them everywhere.

Hi Anna, great video and thank you for sharing. I also have thin hair and the best brush I’ve found is a wood bristle brush. I’m never going back - it doesn’t break your hair, it doesn’t create static electricity, it somehow distributes oil so hair doesn’t get greasy and it’s sustainable. Recommend you get one without the little balls at the end of the bristle.

Frederick Fekkai’s hairbrushes are amazing for my long, fine hair. Wonderful on wet & dry hair. Very high quality- they last for years! And he makes a travel / purse sized version for on the go. Pricey, but so worth it!
I believe that Mason Pearson make the finest luxury brushes. However, I get amazing results on my hair from my Tangle Teezer - no flyaway or static strands! However, Tangle Teezer isn’t a high class brand so it might look odd pulling it out of a Hermes bag 😋 xx

It's so funny! I have an almost identical what's in my bag! The difference for me is that, because I'm often around children, I have a mini-ER with band-aids, stain remover (like tide pen) antibacterial ointment, toilet wipes, anti-itch cream, etc. I also have a hand made sewing kit because you never know. It has thread, needles, scissors, etc. I don't know how many times I pull this thing out for whatever reason (mostly for the sewing scissors).

You should try a Tangle Teezer! I have tailbone length hair that knots easily and this is the only brush that can keep my hair in check. Trust me, I've tried many different combs and brushes.
Yes! I tried many differnt brushes, but Tangle Teezer is top for me - i have two pieces about 6 years now.

In my bag I have my labello, a little tin of nivea cream, a pen, a small paper notepad, my keys, my smartphone, a lighter, a small bottle of water, a small flashlight, a few hair elastics, a squeaky ball, pedigree tasty bites (my dog loves them) and my small Swiss army knife. I don't wear make up every day, because my husband and I spend a lot of time outside the house with the dog or working in our garden. So I only take make up with me, when I really need it.
I have very long hair. It reaches over my knees to the middle of my calves. To brush my hair I use the Tangle Teezer Compact Styler and I can really recommend it.
You can close it with a lid and it is small. I think that's very nice and practical, because you can even take it in a small bag, if you can't take a big one. It doesn't need much space, it's light weight and it does a really good job.
You did a video once about what to wear and take when you travel. One thing I always carry for airplane travel is a pashmina. I carry a large purse and it can fit in there quite nicely. I carry it because I can wrap it around my shoulders if I get cold on the plane, use it like a blanket if I want to sleep. I've even used it to discreetly cover part of my face if a seat neighbor is coughing or sneezing, or even wearing too much perfume.

They are incredibly good for all hair types, especially yours, to give volume, but take out any frizz and distribute your natural oils to the ends.
They can be passed on for generations. I think they exist since many decades. They are quite expensive though. (~~€200).
But great recommendations and reviews, people adore it.
