I think TTPD is going to be a sister album of midnights kind of like folklore and evermore are sister albums. I love that Taylor does all the different album covers but it’s kind of annoying that you have to buy a whole other cd just for one bonus track. I just wish that it was all on one cd for TTPD.

@@dqm1n1k4 the albatross was just announced, so its likely she'll have 4 like midnights and 1989. She never released a midnights cd with all of the songs (hits different is not on the late night edition), I really do hope she has 1 cd with all 4 bonus tracks. Its a good business strategy, but my wallet has BARELY recovered from midnights (and i only have 3 midnights variants)

I've only been collecting CDs since the start of December and i have several melanie, lana and olivia CDs in my shopping cart (i can not find a cd of sabrina's emails i cant send anywhere) Your collection is a literal DREAM. So far mine is just taylor swift ((Ive spent so much money on jewel cases for my CDs its not even funny at this point))

Hey just so you know when you get CD cases like the ones for phoebe bridgers and boy genius and it’s that cardboard flap one you don’t like, you should know that those are designed to resemble vinyl record sleeves, gatefolds mainly, and back in the day like 20 years ago, they were super cool to anyone who had vinyl records before CDs because they immediately recognized why they were like that, but back then the discs use to actually slip inside the flap on the right side like how vinyl records go into their sleeves, so they would get scratched up so fast. What you were holding when you pointed out that CD you have with the cardboard flap when you mentioned phoebe bridgwrs and boy genius CDs, was the modern version of a CD case trying to resemble a record sleeve with the gatefold opening style because it’s got the plastic CD holster inside instead of making you slide the CD into the side like they were before. If that makes sense, they can actually seem really cool, and I say that as someone who started out collecting CDs and I HATED those style of sleeves, never knowing what the purpose of them were, but now after I collect vinyl I realize that those kind of gatefold CD cases are suppose to resemble a vinyl sleeve, I think those kind of CDs are awesome, not better or worse than jewel cases just different because the artist is someone who likes vinyl and wanted their CD to have that vibe. Its like a mini record to vinyl people, when they see them they see a tiny record and it’s cute

I've almost bought several of her albums at different times, but couldn't due to finances or other things, so I've got a ton catching up to do. The only Lana "album" I have is Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, but I also own the actual book, but I'll catch up with her stuff in due time as well.
your collection is definitely growing, my favorite one has to be take me home because it’s definitely one of the most nostalgic albums for me. you should’ve gotten the japanese zinepak edition of take me home because it comes with 19-20 songs, and that’s the version i have, but i also have the normal version because i wanted the photos. anyway, i have a recommendation for pop-rock music and it’s “magic man” by jackson wang, it comes as a box set and the songs are kinda like olivia rodrigo sour/guts but his aesthetic is more “evil and hot” type. take care!!

Im pretty sure that the reason solar power is not on CD has nothing to do with the environment. Vinyl are bigger and hence take more resources and energy to make. And vinyl is a form of plastic that is more harmful than the plastics that CDs are made of. Solar Power isn't readily available on CD because CDs are seen as outdated relics of the past in western culture right now and the majority of people wants to appear "sophisticated" and buy Vinyl instead. Personally i don't see what's so cool about spending 3-4 times the amount of money on having a vinyl collection instead of a CD one (the difference in prize is especially huge in the second hand market), so its definitely a bummer anytime an artist i like these days doesn't include a CD release to their albums as a consequence of more and more people falling prey to the Vinyl trend. Having said that, according to record shop owners in my country (Norway) they are registering that young women and teenage girls are buying CDs in greater numbers than before and typically from artists that are showcased in your CD-collection - so perhaps a new trend is taking form? It would be a most welcome one, the second hand market is booming with great and cheap CDs, yet sadly huge quantities of yeasteryears CDs are thrown in the thrash because demand is so limited and there is definitely nothing environmentally friendly about that.
