I say this prayer daily. It is from St Gertrude the Great. I've been praying it since last All Souls Day. My life has changed ever since.
We pray that prayer after the rosary together with divine mercy .
I wrote that prayer down last week I think and been praying it five times in the morning, five times in the afternoon and sometimes five times in the evening.
Every Rosary I say, I offer it up for the souls of purgatory, first and foremost.
I say this prayer out loud as much as I can throughout the day: Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family. Amen."
Souls in purgatory. You are remembered!!! Each and every one of you!!! Amen!

Fascinating. I've always thought that the pain of the souls in Purgatory is that they are separated from, and constantly longing for, God - like being heartsick for the love of your life x a billion.
I believe that is also true, however the awareness is enlightened.

This book " Visions of Purgatory ; a Private Revelation" which was originally published in French titled "Regard Sur le Purgatoire" with a preface written by a Bishop of Puy in Velay, France on the importance of this private revelation. It was written in the latter half of the 20th century.by an anonymous author and is an awesome book. It is so gut-emotional in its detail you feel you are there in purgatory and it completely transformed me when I first read it and put in me such a devotional need to spread its message of educating others in consolation, praise and prayer to and for these Holy Souls. Many of my talks in parishes on this topic was influenced by reading his supranatural experiences. I highly recommend it. My library on this topic wouldn't be complete without this book along with the "Unpublished Manuscript of Purgatory" and "Hungry Souls". Thankyou Alvedo for your awesome videos. @@UniquelyMaryDear Alvado I'm a simple humble soul, a reconvert into the Catholic faith since 2010 when my father died and who I sincerely felt he interceeded with God to bring me back to the Faith like a whoosh! in my heart through the Holy Spirit..at my parish in Massachusetts I met a most wonderful priest who was my spiritual director for the next 10 years (who passed away 8 months ago from pancreatic cancer at age 60. please pray for Fr Mario's soul) and taught me so much that it led me to a late vocation of entering cloistered religious life. I had such a spiritual thirst to learn all I could. During those years prior I became a Third Order Lay Carmelite in Peabody while caring for my mother who had Alzheimer's and gave much of my free time outside of work in the healthcare system as a therapist to helping voluntarily at my parish in Stoneham..I joined all the prayer groups, rosary, sodality to the BVM, charismatic, healing services, was a Eucharistic minister, , lecturer, altar server when needed and Sacristan...and even ran a caregiver support group. As a therapist my focus has always been on doing grief healing.. That was my calling.There at church I was intrigued by this book on "Visions in Purgatory" and spent hours researching it and felt compelled to give my first talk at the parish group on the subject of purgatory. It was then I realized the need to educate people on the hereafter and the Holy Souls., including our priests who really had no clue or thoughts on what purgatory is like.! There is a great little TAN booklet called " Read Me or Rue It" in these graphic details. I stocked our churches with this booklet on purgatory. I was on a roll! I loved Maria Simma's book on conversing with souls " Get Me Outta Here"! I returned to seminary school to take masters level lay courses in theology and thought my mission was to be a hospital chaplain. However the calling was so strong to go into religious life and in cloistered prayer. I had wonderful spiritual mentors of priests and nuns along the way. My go to place was the Natl Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge Mass only a 2 hr drive. I would spend time with the Visitation Order of Mary Monastery as well in the nearby village of Tyringham the Order of St Francis de Sales and St Margaret Mary Alacoque.of the Sacred Heart. Hence my greatest devotions have been to The Sacred Heart and the Divine Mercy. To make a long story a little shorter I moved to France 4 years ago ( my family origins are from the French Alps) and after my mother died I entered The Visitation Order in Annecy as a late vocation ; however due to health reasons I was not allowed to stay). I now live in a town in Occitania, Fr.near family. as an independent contemplative soul and very involved in my parish community. I also started a bereavement support group for families and parishioners after funerals. I have given a talk here on Purgatory as well with more details and encouraging Catholics and the priests here to be open to learning the need to pray for the Holy Souls and do indulgences, visit cemeteries, do the DM chapelet etc. etc. It has not been easy here as many are sadly catechised in this secular country. In France people acknowledged All Saints Day more also as a religious holiday.. than All Souls Day to be with family and place flowers on tombstones. I hope to show the film "Purgatory" (Entre Ciel st Terre) in November..Its not easy to convince our Pastor in allowing this but he has his own copy now that he enjoyed. The Basilica dedicated to the Holy Souls to ND de Montligeon near Paris is in the film as well as the DM Shrine in Stockbridge. My mission is here now as a lay Carmelite but so close to the Holy Souls in thought and prayer. I also co-lead a St Michael's prayer group monthly on the 29th...today...per request of St Michael. If you offer prayers for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, you will be attacked by the devil. He hates any attempt at salvation being applied to the souls in Purgatory by our prayers and masses offered. Persevere in your prayers!!!

YJMJ I have remembered and prayed for the souls in purgatory; suffering some irony of my prayers for them meaning nothing until God lets Them out of there since I was first taught about purgatory as a Young boy in St . Francis of Assisi elementary school in Ellsworth WI and am nearing 38 years old now. So To hear You say they feel bad in being forgotten is a bit of a bother dude because I sure as heaven hell and purgatory have recourse To prayer for them and contemplate their situation. ✝️

Can someone in the comments please explain something to me. I've been struggling lately to understand how Purgatory and Heaven, according to many at Catholic Answers and in the church, is not a physical place? I understand a little about metaphysics and i know God is outside of time. But to suffer as described in Purgatory or for Mary to be assumed in to Heaven must mean these are indeed both places. Has he done a video on this subject i can watch?
