TIM from Canada just watched your video you putting the new feeder on the wall should have put on some legs from the bottom of your feeder to the cement floor.. four legs on four corners and one leg in the middle of your box. They screwing them from the inside of your box down onto your leg. Those three calves unlock that off your wall. If it is not secure, having the legs makes it more stable.
Poop on the hand. I giggled at your response... 😂😂😂 we had a heifer bagging up, she needed to come into the barn. I brought her in barefoot. Stepping in mud, poop and liquids... My grams spoke to me in a very baritone voice. "You better wash your feet extra well before walking into the house on her clean floors." 😊😂😅
Good morning Taylor. A routine day as a young farmer is much better than a productive day in an office environment. Enjoyed watching another one of your great videos. Keep smiling, keep farming, and may God bless you.🚜🐄😉
Sometime you need crappy weather and and barn maintenance/extra chores, even if means forking out calf pens, and the silo room. Its been over 20 years and still miss it .
18:48, uses drill motor as mallot to "adjust" board. A young dairy farmer, but already has the proper moves of a more experienced dairy farmer. ( and a great attitude!) Taylor and Brent, you are so the real deal. HATS OFF 100%
Hey Taylor, I guess I missed it. What happened to your thumb and finger wrapped in purple? They make a special citrus solution for cleaning aluminum condensers. Check with any AC service to get a jug of it. Thanks for the video. Keep your powder dry!
Really enjoyed the video Taylor and much kudos for your skill set. I've spent a life working with circular saws and sometimes they have a mind of their own...kicking back occasionally. Perhaps you'd consider a pair of safety goggles when you next use the machine. Warm wishes from England !
Only complaint on your channel . . . Sure wish you would post more videos. Just love them and they are always the best. When I can't get enough, I go back and watch all your older videos. Just Kidding on the complaint. Just wish there was a daily dose of Tay's Videos to watch. To be so young, full of energy and so so inspired to come up with solutions to help keep the farm running. Just love the barn. signed: An Old Dairy Farmer from a different century.
Way to go Taylor. Nice work on the feeder and the pipeline. Place always looks better with the fly specks gone!! (Among other "debris"!) Always a good day when Tay shows up with her chores!! 🤠🐄🥛
Good morning Tay, another great video. I miss the days of dairy farming and working around the barn this time of year and even in the winter. You are getting very handy at many things around there, you are an amazing little hard working woman for sure.🤗
Great job on the calf feeder!! Having never worked on a farm, I'm amazed @ the endless amount of projects that are required to make ur dairy work smoothly!! Stay safe, dry and warm out there!
Thanks so much! Yep dairy farming can be a never ending challenge of projects😀 but that’s also why I love it!! Have a wonderful weekend and I hope George is doing well too!!🙂
Good Morning to you Taylor. Love watching your videos as I live in Limestone Maine where Loring AFB is as well as having three PHISH Festivals here. Anyway some people raise livestock around here especially the Amish community we have in the next town over in Fort Fairfield Easton area. Keep up the good work and stay warm out there starting to get Wicked Cold up here.
Good morning, Taylor! What an exhausting video! 🐮 You were very busy with all types of jobs and the calves are just too darn cute interacting with you! The interactions between you and Brent are always good to see and be a fly on the wall. You both have a good sense of humor, too! That circular saw looks like it’s made of ceramic coated pot metal or maybe just painted pot metal. Am I correct in my assumption? I hope your thumb and index finger are not too badly injured, as they are well bandaged. Have an awesome day, Taylor! It was great to watch you work today! 🏍🇺🇸🎒
Good morning! Yep always a busy day on a dairy farm 😀. The calves really are sweeties☺️. So glad you could join us and enjoyed tagging along!! I’m not really sure about the saw but it is very heavy so maybe that would account for it? Just me being my clumsy self and cut them up a bit, nothing too bad. Thanks so much and you have a wonderful day too!
Honey! Clean off the manure off your delicately white fingers! And your climbing up & down the loft ladder; you're a real champ! Please be careful not to slip and miss your footing.
2:31 I just read that if you spread manure during the ban without a permit they (the state of Maine) can charge you $1000 each day that you spread it. That’s a fairly hefty fine, but why is it banned to begin with? It’s a natural product that’s good for the soil so why would there be a ban on it at all? Is it just a way for the state to make money or is there a good reason behind it?
Hold on now, You need to find or build a small mobile platform to stand on to put you somewhere level with the pipeline to make it much less strain on you and with short selves it will not matter if the splatter from the pressure washer runs down your arms, and with being level with the pipes you can spray at an angle to get it semi clean and wipe it with a rag. Just my two cents
Taylor what did you do to your fingers? Hope they heal up quickly!!! Calves are fun to be around, can be like big puppies. Such a busy day and so much accomplished.
Morning Tay;lor. Loved your loving interaction with the calves. It shows how much you care for the animals. What did you do to your fingers? When they are bandaged like that must be a heck of a cut.. Hope everything goes well, and you get those bandages off soon. Hard to work when you have that much bandages on the fingers. Keeps you from working correctly. Have a great day and God Bless.
Girl you hard worker, a go getter . Keep up the hard work and most keep smiling shows your passion of your work even if have to clean cattle droppings out of the water trough Hahaha
noticed the controls on a device is called "pacemaker". i also have a much smaller one in my chest. which one was named first? yes i am battery powered
Awesome video again Taylor thanks. Is there anything that you can't turn your hand to, awesome job on the trough you should patent it. What have you been doing to your fingers? nothing serious i hope. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Thanks! You are too kind 😊. Oh you know me! Got kinda clumsy and cut myself🫣. Nothing very serious and it’s healing well😀. Thanks again and have a great weekend!!
Morning Taylor, why is there a restriction on when you can spread manure? I've never heard of such a thing. Here in pa. There is no restriction like that
You should have put your back boards on the back side of your bottom board to give it a little more distance for them to put the grain and That is quite narrow. Are you should of used at 2 by 8 on the bottom bottom?.
Always fun to watch your youtube channel! Have you hurt your fingers? hope it's nothing serious! Why do you have a hereford bull? Wouldn't it have been better with a dairy breed bull considering future milk cows.
Morning Taylor , my my what did we do to our finger and thumb 🤔hope its not to serious 😘, oh how's the cow scratcher going ? love your videos and enjoy watching them , Cheers from Australia
Good morning! ☀️ Just cut them up a bit, nothing too serious. The cows LOVE their scratcher and use it daily! Glad you enjoy watching as we so enjoy bringing you along with us!!
@@tayfarms yes it brings back found memories from when I worked on a dairy farm here in Australia for 15 years and we where milking around 950 head twice aday on a 50 cow rotary dairy (that's one that goes around in circles) 🤗
Finally got to see the loft. Love old barn lofts!

Very productive day Taylor. If I may say, you are a remarkable young woman. You dive in and don't shy away from anything. You be careful.❤
I'm going to have to slow down binge watching, I'll run out of videos. You did a great job on that little feeder!

gusset! Same as a brace! Good job!

Obviously, the farm uses a large quantity of water for flushing your milk machines and general cleanliness. So, where does all this liquid go?
