Good morning Taylor. Today I want to thank yourself and Brent and all farmers for all of the food that they directly and indirectly put on our tables. I hope that you and your family and Brent’s family have a great Thanksgiving. I can’t believe that it’s the middle of November and you are still mowing hay. Enjoyed your video as I always do. Keep smiling, keep farming, and enjoy some of those Maine turkeys. 🦃🚜🐄❤️
This has to be one of the fastest growing farm channel on you tube. Taylor’s work ethic is amazing and it shows. Give her all the thumbs u can and subscribe. Happy thanksgiving to all. Great work Taylor.
That's a bummer about the mower! The good news is @ least it happened @ the end of the season. Wishing u, Brent, and ur families & friends the happiest Thanksgiving!! Oh yea....and the girls!! Just tk...Christmas will be here in a couple days!! lol
Clean the windows with windshield washer stuff, won't freeze! We do that at the store to clean the inside of the freezer doors! And to make it less likely to freeze, add about half a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol to it! P.S. Back in the day, alcohol was used to keep the radiators from freezing in the winter!
Hey Taylor, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there!… Taylor, is it possible your using right hand bolts to left hand threads? If it’s losing up it may be because those bolts need to tighten the opposite direction of the way it’s spinning?😮 Love this channel❤❤❤❤ God Bless and stay safe everyone, the Night Watchman stand on the wall waiting for the enemy, or the thief in the night! Protect and Serve is our motto, to all First Responders out there, stay Safe, head on a swivel and kiss your Loved one’s before we leave the house, never leave home upset or angry either! We never know if it’s our day and too many times we don’t do that, God Bless and stay safe all, and know we’re on our way in times of need. God Bless
When we bought our farm, made sure equipment wheels had same bolt pattern so I had a ready spare on hand. One day while walking past the shed, I see my son's wagon, up on blocks with a wheel off. My son was 5 years old. Naturally, this was just an early sign of his thought processes. There was always something on the farm begging for attention!
Hey Taylor, hope you are having a wonderful thanksgiving day with your family. I know the cows still need to be milked regardless….7 days a week/365 days a year. Yup, unexpected breakdowns are just a part of farming. Time to schedule a rebuild on that Kuhn cutter. So glad to see you put the safety stops in place on those hydraulic cylinders with Brent’s legs under that bar. No ring today? Guess your marital status will remain a mystery. Thanks for the ride along.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TAYLOR !!! I know there’s no brake in farming, but at least have some turkey and take a nap. You work so hard. Love your videos. There’s nothing easy about farming. 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🇺🇸
Happy Thanksgiving Taylor and your family and friends. Even new equipment breaks down so don't get disheartened by the mower acting up. That pack the nut is coming loose from you could tighten it back up and weld the nut in place to use it temporarily, unless it works then just leave it. Most farms have a few temporary fixes that last a decade or more. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.
You and Brent work great together it's nice to see a young lady open an older gentleman on a farm nowadays kids in general do not want to work let alone on a farm fluid film is the best thing since sliced bread
I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO MAKE AN ACTUAL OBSERVATION. You are rare for your generation. So respectful, observational, and suchgood common sense and work ethics. Amazing and I say good on you. Very I mpressive. I am from a farming back ground. Presently cruising SE Asia aboard my 39 foot Sailboat in Indonesia. Cheers from a fellow Americaj
Happy Thanksgiving, Taylor to you and Brent. And your family's NB safe today? Because I know you'll be in a hurry to get home and enjoy your familys. Put on that mowing machine. Can't you find a junk one for parts?
Hi Taylor Thanks for taking safety seriously. Only took ten seconds to put up the stops. Sure beats hours at the ER and months convalescing. Maybe you could make safety an aspect of your channel. Lots of impressionable people watching. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃
I just discovered this channel a few days ago and have really enjoyed what videos I've seen. With that said I cant help but notice Taylor is more than willing to jump in and do what needs doing and is excited to learn something new like tear into a piece of equipment and figure out how to fix it. Just so refreshing to watch.
You are right breakdowns are a part of farming. You and Brent handle the adversity well. Makes it all the more sweeter when you have a day where everything goes well.
You work this farm as if it's your own perhaps somedat it shall be. You've put your heart and soul into it,by the grace of God, bless you and what you do!🙏
Happy Thanksgiving Taylor!!! Sorry you weren't able to finish that field, glad you were able to have a nice long season overall. I know what you mean about that sinking feeling when you have to deliver bad news cause of something breaking. Never owned any but have heard wizard tools were good stuff, especially compared to anything cheaply made today, vintage tools they don't make anymore. If Brent likes Fluid Film he might like FedPro Lube-It All, hard to come by in Brick&Mortors but i order it by the case online.
Yes Taylor,,you too can become a good oscillating as you weld welder, that is a big key to it, and heat range and. Distance from the part being welded a whole lot of things come in to play, thank don’t say your not a good welder, ok, thanks BigAl
Happy Thanksgiving Taylor and Brent and Families. I was wondering if some locktight might hold the nut on? Or if the threads come through the nut when it's tightened, you might take a hammer and chisel and mar a spot on the exposed threads that will keep the nut in place. Just a couple thoughts to not have to spend a bunch of money unnecessarily
Very good Taylor. Shame about that unit going bad. The money spent to repair or replace units on a mower or bailer can be costly. I am thinking of you and your coffee. You looked like you could have drunk a thermos full of coffee. But maybe next year will be better. Have a good day and have a Happy Thanksgiving. God Bless
Hi, yes machinery repair can be ver expensive! I definitely would have loved a warm drink of coffee in that moment 😁. Thanks so much and hope to hear from you again soon!
Happy Thanksgiving. When my dad and uncle had a John Deere moco. Same type of haybind as yours. We always ran the tractor pto wide open. It seemed to not bog down so much. But we also had alfalfa
Farming operations are often subject to seasonal deadlines. Planting and harvesting need to be done at specific times for optimal yields. Equipment breakdowns can create pressure to meet these deadlines, leading to stress for farmers.Equipment failures lead to downtime, and during critical periods like planting or harvesting seasons, delays can have a significant impact on the success of the crop. There's often a tight window for certain agricultural tasks, and any interruption can cause stress.
The mower is a good design you can take the gears out individually not like the old 80s tarrup we used to use you had to take the bed off and unbolt about 30 to 40 bolt just to get to the gear's love the content could you do a time laps of you and Brent milking if that is OK that is 😢❤😊
Happy Thanksgiving Taylor. Did you give the Moo Moo Mamas a special meal today? Lol😂 I understand you got some snow also, I also know that they are inside where it’s comfy and warm but was wondering if they were to go out do you think they would be like children and play in the snow?😊 Well, take it easy today, work safely and i wish you and Brett a very Happy Thanksgiving😊
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Taylor! Please wish Brett a Happy Thanksgiving as well for me! You and him make an awesome team operating that farm! Your work ethic and dedication is amazing! I wish I were still able to farm. I enjoy your videos every time you make them. Thank you for the effort you put into making them so we can follow along!🦃☃️
Be very careful Taylor, we just lost a 31 y/o farmer that got caught in his haybine. He left his wife and 3 kids and one on the way and all of the neigbors fast and is so so sad. Be sure to shut the tractor off when working around anything. They figure the PTO brake did not hold and engaged by itself.
Cole from Sonne Farms did some very similar repairs to their mower a few weeks ago. I believe he found a source for re-built hub assembles at a considerable savings. Might be worth checking out. I believe his email address is in his video description.
Taylor, as you said, there is always that piece of equipment. It's never a good sign when you know (from experience) exactly what tools you need. Hopefully the new hub will put the mower back in top form for many more seasons. Hope you, Brent and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Good to be with you again Tay and Brent. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and thanks for your warm wishes. Machinery certainly does drive you mad sometimes but you both remain quite philosophical about it which I think is great ,keep happy, safe and well ❤
We're definitely all in the same boat! I thought I was going to get all our wrapped silage bales done in November until I got an unrepairable hole in the tyre of our mowing tractor, so now waiting for a new set of front tyres mean while it has been perfect weather. Next week when the tyres come in it looks like it's going to rain pretty much everyday into December 🤦🏼♀️ I'm in Australia so October/November is peak silage time and then hay around Christmas, we only do a first cut as our cows live outside all year around as our winters are pretty mild 😊 10c or I guess its 50F is about a average winters day for us!
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽 Taylor and Bret and family’s Thankful for your videos and educational videos, an the milk your girls produce for us all . Enjoy your day and weekend!!!😊
19:36 Brent holds bearing plate, Taylor sends shaft home with dead blow fingers on either side of plate. If you want to know what a real team looks like, it looks like that.
Hy,Taylor i thinking whit you about the problem whit the mower. Before you begin every ting was perfect. Than one time its was not good, the nut was of. So you make it but stil ot didn't work. Maybe if you turn on the nut you hit whit a hammer and a center point.betweet the nut and the axcle so that the nut ever cat lose . I hope you can fix it. Fore now, i hope you have a good crismis time and a good year 2024.
May you continue to be happy with farming. Always enjoy your videos. Keep farming.
