The smoke from the wild fires delayed things and the rain we got late caused the corn to almost restart growing after we had been so dry over the summer. Lots of corn still out in fields, and the grounds really wet now. Fun times lol
yeah most big guys are all doing pit silos in the US now too... just smaller farmers still farting with upright silos because they have them and their paid for and have the machinery to blow the silage in...
All too familiar with that view... We have Massey Ferguson wagons which are also built by Badger just like that. There's a 60 chain under that cover that just LOVES to wrap and break with a big load on.
I've had this scenario before, it seems the hired machine that comes with diesel fuel & operator tends to expedite things along faster than grinding along by yourself.
Hey that thing on the front of tractor you was running is that thing for a blade ? I had a 4000 that had that set up and we had a blade for it but it was pretty much worthless cause it was just 2wd so u stayed stuck more than not
@@boehmfarm4276 what are your thoughts for next years seed ? I planted Dekalb this year, with all of western PA rain our corn was beautiful. However the bad 45mph wind storm that came through last week was no match for the 10' tall corn stalks, going to be hard picking it..
Nope needs parts and they ain't fixed it in all the years I've been watching this channel... He's young and tough and a pitchfork is cheaper, so have at it LOL:) They're hauling silage into the barn with wheelbarrows so an unloader might be too fast for that anyway, so the pitchfork works just as well I guess. I'm too old and fat for that crap LOL:) Might be different if they had a feed conveyor that was dumping the feed directly into bunks, but they're not feeding that many cattle anyway.
Enjoyed your video Jacob. Have a good day.
Hold everything, is that a mean green machine on Boehm farm? I can’t hardly believe my eyes lol haha 😆
Finally have something decent !!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Jacob. Enjoyed seeing the green chopper.
Nice looking crop of corn.
Gravity is your friend when refuelling
Happy Thanksgiving to you Jake and to your family.
Good video.
I help a farmer out we filled a 20x50 pour silo in four hours. He never let it settle to top it off. He sold his cows the following spring.
Was hoping you’d get a 790 New Holland and pull it with the TW!
So you had a Deere problem in the corn?
You need a JD to pull that cart.
Still see too much long leaves going through. That’s a deere for ya.
Nice video
Need to do what one lonely farmer did , he fut 12volt pumps on tank and has each tractor wired to pump it
Greetings from the descent will not spoil like that in the silo, because we in Serbia do not work like that, but silo pits, thank you

Happy Thanksgiving every body.
Now, you’re gonna have to get a big new Holland like a fx25 and And 901 head for pretty cheap

Hows Bandit doing we haven't heard from him in a while??
I never knew silos could be filed.

Nice corn. What variety did you plant ? Our RK stopped selling seed corn ..
This came from a little place called baldridge. But they retired this year.

Probably not for a while.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you get a deviled egg.
Does the silo unloader not work?

They go faster than 20 on the road.
