2 THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND...1) FULL THROTTLE FOR TAKEOFF....2) ALTITUDE IS YOUR FRIEND....REMEMBER , ITS NOT A SAILPLANE UNTIL YOU HAVE ENOUGH ALTITUDE TO SOAR... NICE LOOKING BIRD IN THE AIR...😃
Although the Phoenix has high wing fading like the ASW28 it will be less likely to stall in the same way, I would still recommend you fly it level and use rudder to coordinate your turns.
The way you show crashes make me feel good. I've just got my first rc trainer a week ago. Tried to fly it 3 times and got 3 crashes. So far I repair it more than fly =) but I guess it's a usual story in the hobby. At least each time I get progressively better and on my last attempt I managed my first successful flight from take off to pretty soft landing. So I think a couple more repairs and I'll be flying well.
Are you flying on 3s or 4s? Because I hear that its really underpowered with a 3s but amazing with a 4s, I've seen some people doing some amazing aerobatics on 4s.
Okay, I hear you. Do keep in mind though I didn’t know how to fly this plane very well as it was only my 3rd or 4th flight. I’m sure with more time on the sticks I would be able to get it flying perfectly.
Yeah but also no, I've used simulators but spending $100 on the only good simulator is not good. This was also not a situation you would ever run into in any simulator. plane simulators help you with basic controls, which I already mastered.
At this point I had been flying for a few years, this was my fifth plane, but my first high aspect wing glider. because of this i was not as familiar with the way it handled conditions and my flying. I doubt safe can recover from a fully developed spin.
If you're talking about the gopro, it came off in the first crash. I used it as a counterweight for the battery I had I had to tape rocks to the tail after it fell off to get the GC right. as for the fpv camera, that as a significantly better way of flying and it was only a few grams.
At the start your CofG balance looked ok for a power plane but a glider needs to be more nose down without the power on? Tip stalls are usually caused by poor coordination when flying in glide mode where all three controls come into play i.e. rudder and aileron when rolling into the turn with increasing elevator to maintain the nose at the correct attitude.

Lovely Glider.
I have a Phoenix 2400 yet to take it for maiden flight. Am sure to make some of the mistakes too 😅

This is a very cool model airplane, one day I will buy it.
I think that's a great idea, but make sure to research how to fly it properly before your maiden.
@@DarwinHorvath yes, my plan was to make those long range fpvs. do you still have yours?
Flying this glider with fpv above the clouds looks like a really cool thing.
Just don't let the FFA know :)

I have a problem with this glider, because when I turn on the equipment, the rudder moves to the right and I cannot trim it. please help
Had hoped you filmed how you fixed that broken wing at the middle of the clip. That looked bad
Luckily I had supper glue and tape, and that's all I used
Seems to tip stall in your tight turns.... need to turn less aggressively i think... Nice Plane... good flying!!
At 3-7 mph they all tip stall...
I liked look of the model, but I have doubts about the gliding. The model behaves very nervously, and the free flight distance is very short.
Looks to me that you're doing skidding turns causing tip stalls.
I would also add a little up elevator
nope, the aggressive roll input was the cause of the stall

This was on 3s because the esc can only handle 3s
@@DarwinHorvath Ahhh, I see.
@@DarwinHorvath get a 50 amp esc skywalker.. 4s is the better way to go
@@bobkeul7682 I was planing on getting an entire upgraded power system but buying replace parts for the plane costs more than just buying a new one
@@DarwinHorvath i have this plane and the V2 version can take 4s if it blips funny then change the motor thats what i had to do and worked great
You flying like those pilots that sick the nose of the plane in the air when descending. Keep it level.

Usa uno stabilizzatore di volo sicuramente ti aiuta 👍

Really dude?
Yes, really.
Do you know how to fly!!!!!!
Yes, I do.
So, where is the setup part? Not that 15sec at the beginning…….Rudder ailerons flaps…..
I'm not sure what you mean, the 15 seconds in the beginning is just an intro, and I went over the setup for the rudder, aileron, and flaps.
Ok, it truly is that 15sec timewarp…..
3:00 Way too tail heavy
Oh my god…..total destruction video, Too bad you didn’t have a Spectrum safe fly setup lol or better still get a really cheap plane to start with!!

Perhaps not the best beginner plane...
You're right, it's not. Neither am I.
It looks like it's tail heavy
It was not, in fact it was a bit nose heavy.
@@DarwinHorvath 👌
A turd of a glider. Get a radian or conscendo for the price you’ll pay for this thing
It is a beautiful model when its flying, that's why I got it.
Mehr Gewicht nach vorne. Der Vogel ist Hecklastig

Take the stupid camera off the thing.

2:30 obviously Tail Heavy
