    British training is the best on earth, no wonder the Americans were amazed at the afghans they witnessed after British training.

      that's true, and it's probably because our "training" is _ok shut up, take a tank._ Ok, but seriously the issue is that we train them up to use expensive airstrikes and cruise missiles, which obviously they don't have, and when they try to go out on their own, they don't know how to fight without them.

      Jack Where did you get that rubbish from?
      Afghan has no air force and American assets aren't there no more so definetly no airstrikes o I don't think we're training them to do so.
      British training is the best.
      Why we kick ass around the world and for such a tiny island the influence the Brits have had well do I need to go on?

He came back scarred never spoke of what happened except that the Afghans are a warlike people. He said “they will fight anyone, they’ll even fight their brothers. And if you pay them to fight, well they’re landed.”

      Harley-Ray Hillman But has spending millions of pounds on a conflict and expending countless young lives been proven to work? Absolutely not. Armies have fought and defeated armies, empires have fought and defeated empires but you can’t defeat an ideology and people group in the same way. Afghanistan is a failed state and has no cohesion. It’s a patchwork of many different tribes and groups. The Taliban can’t be defeated with bombs and bullets and Afghanistan can’t be made to work by Western militaries. Why is it so hard for Britain and America to keep their filthy noses out of other countries’ business?

    • @harley-rayhillman3701

      @@johnjohansson6277 Because people with their ideology don't just stay in Afghanistan. If they did they could be left to suffer from their own primitive lifestyles. They make their way to other countries and kill civilians as a show of power. This is why we can't simply leave them to it fight themselves.

    • @johnjohansson6277
      @johnjohansson6277 5 лет назад +3

      Harley-Ray Hillman Have you ever asked why terrorists attack the western world? It’s because we attack them. The US and Britain’s involvement in the Middle East in general has been catastrophic. Most of the political problems in the region are as a result of poor and quite frankly ignorant policy making in the West. The more you kick a hornets’ nest; the more you get stung.....
      Don’t buy that bullshit that they “will spread their ideology/take over” or “want to take your freedom away”. That is, for the most part, propaganda that’s rolled out so people like you don’t speak out against your country interfering with another. War is a business and an economy. For that reason (and miscalculated colonialism) this mess has been created. Life ain’t as black and white as you think. There are no goodies and baddies in this world mate😂.

    The Brits are still in Afghanistan because they didn’t cut and run. The way the Americans left was 🙈disgraceful. There were many killed including U. S. MARINES because of the way they left. They also left the Afghan Nationals who had helped them to the “mercy” of the Taliban. The U.S. didn’t withdraw from Afghanistan in an orderly and planned operation. The U.S. RAN!! The issue is about staying or going it’s about the manner in which they left. The U.S. Vice President said they had a plan and were following it. REALLY? They left with the people they promised to help stranded. The Military Aircraft and the chartered aircraft had empty seats on them. They also left American Nationals behind with the advice that they lay low. The President said they weren’t going to leave anyone behind . SHAMEFUL!

    Pure British propaganda ... truth of the matter is .. unfortunately .. Afghan Army is struggling and hundreds of Afghan army grunts die every month ... don't believe the hype ... US and Brits do not want to leave behind any sophisticated equipment behind ... and leave Afghan Army to fight with only used and worn out 16s .... sad ......
