Free locked up mower engine

The engine feels like something is grabbing it. Mower has been sitting for sometime and now the engine won't turn all the way over. Battery is good, starter is good, valves are within specs but engine will not give a full 360 degrees rotation. Here is what I found out.

Good video, just used your tip to spray PB blaster in the cylinder head to help free a stuck piston on a 19hp Briggs on a Troy Bilt rider I just acquired for $50 a few hours ago :-)

I had a lawnmower engine break it’s camshaft. That’s what I thought your problem was when the valves were not moving properly. Did you ever get it started?

Wow, serious damage can really be done when that belt binds to the drive pulley due to rust. I will give it a test start tomorrow and possibly cut some grass in the process. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers.

Thanks for sharing this video sir, I have Cub Cadet Tl50 same problem. I had tried to turn the flywheel but it won't turn at all by hands or by screw driver even took the spark plug out still wouldn't move an inch. New oil and filter added still same issue, motor run fine but suddenly it just stop and lock up. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!
