Besides. "REMOVE THE WHOLE ENGINE" is like the norm for engine repairs in modern cars. Even if they put the timing chain at the front you wouldn't have any space to do the work in place.
800 hp? If it pulled 602 whp on the dyno you're most definitely not losing 200 hp through the drivetrain. I dont know how efficient the ZF8 is, but most modern autos are pretty efficient these days. I doubt its losing 25% like old autos. Probably more like 15%. I'd say this supra is making 700 hp crank at best. I'm guesstimating, but that's an educated guess. The turbo might be capable of 800 hp, but you're probably gonna need fuel and abit more boost out of it than what this setup currently has.
Still badass for such easy mods. Supras are so sexy.

So 602whp is roughly 701 hp crank. I used the conversation equation. And 751 tq (crank) I thought it was actually making 800whp on a pure800 I was like wow! Lol 😂

A big slick changes EVERYTHING. This new supra has run 9s with very few mods and stock turbos!! Great engine.
Couldn't agree more! Tires make all the difference in the world. The B58 is a beast of an engine and very capable with the right setup.

Despite the massive increase timing is still relatively conservative and AFR's are excellent, no issues with knock after many hours of data logging :)
B58 can handle it
The B58 handles power like a champ, you can open the engine and the internals are literally untouched, like nothing happened.

Should be a subtext when he says "800hp" as it's probably close to 800hp at the crank, but nowhere near that to the wheels even with meth injection. Take the meth kit back off and run the dyno again and you're looking at 490-550hp. It's a nice selling point, but it's not accurate and could mislead the lobotomites.

When my 2021 Supra was in stock form I can spin from my wheels at 35, if I floor it. From factory you need wider tires so that’s an upgrade you should do. I have an Ecutek stage 2 tune and ima go with 305 section tires that should help a lot.

Both of them are insane. Porsche does a great job with their GT cars.
This is my Supra btw and so is the 2rs but i can tell you once you own cars like this the dyno numbers are only thought about in the shop. Once you drive them none of it matters on the street. 100 different factors come into play and the number 1 thing for me is traction. This car has ZERO traction haha its so overpowered for this tire set up its actually more dangerous than any of my supercars on the street. So what is the point of dyno numbers for the viewer potential future owner? IMO to simply help you ballpark what a car can do if the 100 factors all come together for your style of racing. And to show you the potential of this straight 6 BMW 😂 nothing about this car is a toyota...period. Ask me anything I’ll tell you unfiltered what I really think of this car.

@@vivid_racing IMO M3 is a worse platform, rare sits and floor for rear sits make it heavier then Supra. Imo better swap S58 into supra.
ugly monster vs lovely sports car...price point...so a new m3 costs about the same as a supra fully kitted with aftermarket upgrades...and when you get up into these numbers why would you choose ugly monster over a lovely beast? there is a point where it's all just overkill (these guys are there)...when you hit that, for me....aesthetics > everything else. hard pass on the bmw. my 2 cents :D
Looks like this is the pure 800 turbo, making 600 wheel horsepower. It would be interesting to see how the Supra does with stickier tires. Traction has got to be a big issue. I have 480 and still run into traction issues without drag radials.

That GT2 must have at least 1200hp
It’s just an insane car
Im no expert but even if 800*.8= like you said puts it at 640hp to the wheels your dyno graph shows 602hp to the wheels. Rear Wheel Drive 15% loss: Wheel Horsepower x 1.15 = Crank Horsepower= 602 hp seen on graph *1.15= 692 to 701 hp to the crank.
Mustang is not 15%

I know we're going for click bait here but a 600whp thumbnail is far more fitting. Even with a 15% loss we're looking at a 710hp car. I'm absolutely a Mark5 fan just for the engine and overall size of the car.
I think time slips are more important than dyno numbers as there are just so many variables, but she's no slouch.

That’s because it’s not 800hp, it’s 602… not sure why the guy kept saying it’s making 800hp at the track when he literally showed us the dyno sheet and it said 602.

50kish grand + 15-20k in aftermarkets (after installation) vs 200kish (edit: + lol) ...pound for penny supra wins. money no object a new gt3 rs will drive circles around everything here on track (and that's the important bit imo) . you can build a bad ass drag car for much cheaper than these cars and destroy them. Track performance is king in my book and you just have to love Porsche, regardless their price, for what they achieve. End of day, with my checkbook...i'll happily take the supra with a couple mods
the GT2RS is the most violent launch car ever!!!!! I have never felt a launch like it, but i wonder what would happen if you have a longer track. because the GT2RS is made to Launch!! bring out the Mclaren 720S thats my ultimate car, but seriously i went and bought a 2021 supra i freaking love it as much as any super car i have been in.

@@vivid_racing the way Porsche geared it, its the opposite of the 720S, the GT2 gears 1,2,3 are its life, the 720S, Gears 3,4,5 are its life. I am dying to tune the supra but i need to break it in, seriously i am loving it with all the goodies you can buy for it. so if the list is in this order, 720S, GT2RS, Supra!!! ohhh boy!! i am very happy Supra Camper!! i will be calling you guys soon for my Supra Parts!!
Should have done a roll race 40-100 against the GT 3RS. Probably would have been better. You could hear the tires slipping on every dig. Then you could have had a GT4 win
I would not want the water method system, only because I am not familiar with it and it seems complicated, but I would want the car mapped for 93 octane.
Can you do another run with more weight on the supra? It feels like your wasting the extra horsepower on a car that can't get enough traction on the track.

That Tuning kit was the coolest thing, A plug and play to OBD port is nuts. I come from the early 2000s era of tuners and we dreamt of things like that. P.S. $2,500 for 250+ hp gain!? So $70K ish for a 650 hp car with OEM parts. What universe is this?

Umm...no. You buy the Replacement. You send them your cores. Then and only then, do you get your turbos.
So… my Supra with hybrid twins also makes 650-750whp. I don’t get the point of the new Supra.. I guess this is the modern refined version of the mkiv which is better due to technology however the performance my 1993 delivers is equal. I really wish they released the Supra with 650bhp flywheel horsepower from the factory, manual, targa. It will feel worth the upgrade. However if you don’t own a Supra then the new Supra is a good buy it’s just hard to justify when you own the old one that does the exact same as the new one except I have a manual and rear seat to put my nieces and nephews

Thats a huge increase! Your going to need better traction! How does the transmission do with all the extra horsepower? Id be happy with 550hp to the wheels , being able to hook up and being reliable to drive 3-4 days a week. Any ideas?
A B58 can probably give you 550 at the wheels with a hybrid turbo and FBO. If you want traction at that level you're going to need an LSD.
Those zf 8 speeds are very strong

The factory transmission torque limits the car. Did you not need to flash the transmission?
We didn't flash the transmission, however through adjustments to torque limiters we can vector torque to keep the transmission happy!

What's it run et and mph at firebird. What's the mph gains from stock to modified in the qtr. I'm sure the modified Porsche runs low 10's or better in the qtr. thanks

how is 603 whp 800 crank even with a 20 percent loss that would still have to be 640
even if its 15 percent loss that would make it 705 at crank
Our mustang dyno is 20-25% drive train loss. The pure turbos are their 800hp spec. We ran our car on 91 octane and mix for 93. So yes with race gas, these turbos, this is 800 capable
602 is a far cry from 800.......i would like to see the 6 port version, you might have a bit more unless you have tapped out the direct injection and meth kit. To hit the 800 hp range you need port injection and an upgraded fuel pump. possibly even a top mount

The b58 weighs roughly 300lbs, and the 2jz-FSE weighs approximately 440lbs!

My girl and I just picked up a 2022 a91 CF edition. I hope they figure out a way to unlock the ecu's on these. I wouldn't mind getting some catlas downpipes and an e50 tune. I hear big numbers are coming out of that.

Trans gearing and final gear is what's holding it back
If you're shooting for low 500 wheel do you think the Pure 700 would be a better match or do you think the pure 800 would still be comfortable in that lower boost range.
Due to spool being so good on the Pure 800 I personally do not believe there is any sacrifice and would only purchase the Pure 800. The vehicle produces virtually no lag over the stock turbo yet you have plenty of room to grow moving forward.
There's no such thing as a pure 700 lol
