    Is Lee saying 20 sets for each exercise or 20 sets in total; doing different exercises for bicep?
    If I'm doing a bicep work out I start with the barbell curl doing 4 or 5 sets, then I'll do single arm dumbbell curls for 4 or 5 sets, then I'll finish off by doing curls on a curling machine for 5 sets. That is 15 sets in total and I vary the rep range.

    Loving all these videos of Lee Priest. You are a legend Lee Priest!
    Question for Lee (from fellow Australian of similiar age). Hi Lee, I am 43 years old. (Male)
    Any recommendations on how I can get moderate muscle growth in my biceps? They are more stubborn to grow compared to when I was in my 20's even 30's. Arms are probably 16 inches. (fairly average). Wanting to get more of a head/peak on the bicep. How can we get them to 17-18 inches?

    Keelee: the training depends on ur age mostly n how well your body takes it im 17 and i train basically 3-4 hours 5 days a week and ive always made steady gains i want size and im 17 im still basically growing but your good on that schedule but of course you have to work your body up to that point basically train until your muscles are sore and quit as far as running it takes 30 minutes before you burn muscle and thats straight run no stopping

    Hey Sam ... Can you ask lee, if it's ok to lower the weight with every following set if i do 6 to 8 reps with 20 sets? ... because it is impossible for me to pump out 20 sets with the same weight, unless i start off lighter and pyramid the weight upward with every set ... i have no idea!
    Really appreciate an answer from lee

    • @danielrichardsonpasadenaca9193
      @danielrichardsonpasadenaca9193 9 лет назад

      Of course lower the weight but don't start off heavy I always start with a set of sixteen then 10 then do eights every exercise after that all reps should stay 8 to10 and if you can't then lighten the load every body part you go to you should warm up like that every work out I do I start with 25 jumping Jack's 25 toe touches 10 squats I do 3 sets without stopping back to back there is no stopping then I go use the weights

    • @davidreagan7090
      @davidreagan7090 8 лет назад

      +Keelee Cressey I've been a CPT, Sports Performance Expert, and CES for a while and worked under some incredible trainers and champions. The truth is that everyone is different, like Lee says when he talks about genetics. Overtraining to one person might not effect another person the same way. A University in the UK is actually studying exercise response based on genetics right now and has developed a blood test that determines how your body is likely to respond to exercise based on your genetics. Long story short, find what works for you. 14-16, 2 hours (moderate intensity) 5 days a week worked great for me. 16-20 an hour to an hour and a half 3-5 times a week (high intensity) with more compound lifts worked best and that didn't include practice later in the day as a high school and NCAA athlete. 20-22, I started healing slower and I've been doing 1.5 hours 3-4 times a week since 22 because I don't heal as fast. At every stage my training was altered to change with the way my body changed. I have also had trainees that benefit from 1 hour of high intensity 5 times a week, while others did better with 2 hours at low intensity 3 times a week. Like I said, it's about finding what works best for you and accepting your strengths and limitations. I can't speak on training on roids though. I've never used them or worked with someone on them because I mostly work with athletes who get tested and I don't use them.

      caged lion pyramid sets are used by many bodybuilders and they're great for building size. You can also build good size with straight sets at the same weight....to think there's just one way that's correct is ridiculous.
      Personally I only started making decent progress once I started pyramid training.
