- This is breaking news in the lucid dreaming community.
The TLDR: Scientists have now confirmed that it is possible to communicate to a lucid dreamer from the waking world, and have the lucid dreamer hear it in the dream and respond via eye movements to the waking observer. Two-way communication.

I feel like Lucid Dreaming is a form of astral projection. Consciousness is shifting into the dream body within the subconscious mental plane. When our consciousness is centered in two locations at the same time "Bilocation" I've personally found I can hear things in the physical world.

Oh yeah I read this a little while ago because someone linked it on the lucid dreaming subreddit. It’s really interesting this hasn’t been done already. After I first learned about lucid dreaming (and honestly even before lucid dreaming, I wondered the same thing with regular dreams) I became fascinated by the idea of someone in the real word sitting beside me while I was asleep in a dream, and I wondered if I would be able to hear them while in the dream. I thought about whether I’d hear their voice booming from the sky or just as another person in the dream, maybe it would actually be the person sitting there, or if I’d hear it on a radio in the dream. Really cool stuff.
Also like another comment pointed out, your mustache is the actual big news. Honesty I actually think it suits you really well lol

I did read about someone doing that once before (prior to the study), except it was an individual blogger rather than a group of people as in the study. (too lazy to search for it, but it was the person hearing a generated math question through earphones, finding the answer, then signaling it back out using eye-movements that were picked up by eeg/eog)

As cool as this is its really not that surprising either, from my own personal experience I have been able to hear noises from the waking world while I was asleep and understand while in the dream that these are noises from the waking world
