Giz I watched you when I was 12. I am now 23.
I have always thought people interested in lucid dreaming were people obsessed with escapism. I didn't believe this pinned comment but after seeing for myself that you said you struggled with Opiate abuse which eventually lead you to heroin breaks my heart. You were such a role model for me growing up and I hate to see whats its done to you.

Hey Giz,
I've been subscribed since December 2013 when I was 14 and I cannot thank you enough for your videos over the past 10 years. Your introduction of lucid dreaming at a difficult and pivotal time for me changed the way I think about and interact with the world. I've dealt with my fair share of crippling mental health and if it hadn't been for the worldview your videos had given me at that age, I don't know if I would have come away from it as well as I did.
I'm now 23 working as a Paramedic, perusing an education in research neuroscience because of your videos.
It's always a pleasure to see you on my youtube feed again, but please don't feel any guilt around not uploading. The work you've done so far still stands out above all other similar content, and by not deleting it you've allowed your contributions to reach more people like younger me :)

Hey Giz, I've been watching you since I was 14 and trying to use lucid dreaming as a little escape at the end of the day, a way to feel a little bit more free in a life I felt I wasnt in charge of. And your videos helped me a lot, I had my first ever lucid dream because of some tips I had learned from you. Anyway, I'm 21 with a kid on the way now and I just wanted to say, no matter how long of a break you take, there will be people like me who remember you and what you've done for this community that will gladly accept you back with open arms. Your mental health is far more important than forcing yourself to make content, and I'm glad you've realized that and decided to put yourself first. Don't stress about regular uploads, I know we'll be here to watch when you're ready to produce content.
I know this is a bit of a long comment, if you happen to read it, just wanted to say, keep putting yourself first and congratulations on your engagement to the woman, you guys have always been great together. (at least from what I've gathered in your videos)

It’s cool to see you’re still around. First started watching your vids over 11 years ago. I know what you mean with social media I’ve deleted all of it and only use RUclips or WhatsApp. It’s made me a lot happier also.

@@delskif1425 25, but I wouldn't worry. Most of it was brought on by my own carelessness and mental health issues. Take care of yourself and you'll be good.

Mental health and financial/family stability always comes first. Good on you for taking your mental health seriously and keeping an eye on your self. I found your lucid dreaming content 3-4 years ago and binged all your old videos. I haven't kept up with you recently, but this video popped up on my main page. Good to see you. I'm also an account manager - it's funny how the personalities we're interested in somehow always have a way of having something in common with ourselves. Look forward to the new vids. A bit of while back i got back into watching you youtube video, the new videos to me, lol they are a 2-4 years old, but i had not seen any of your video since 2016, i would have not had the chance to see them had they been gone so i am GLADE you didnt get ride of it all

I am so thankful and so glad that you did not delete your channel! Even if you decide to quit RUclips, please don't ever do that! The content that you have created is so valuable for people trying to learn to lucid dream! And that is a skill that can help people with mental illness! And I'm not joking! I struggled with nightmare disorder where I had nightmares so consistently that I was afraid to go to sleep! Learning to lucid dream was the way that I got out of that cycle of nightmares and insomnia! And you were my most valuable resource in learning how to do that! You saved my mental health! Please understand the value that your videos hold and don't ever delete them! They are a treasure to this world!

Im sorry to hear about the mental health issues you were facing regarding RUclips, but so happy for you that you were able to identify the signs and to stop it from happening again. No matter the situation mental health comes first and I think I speak for all when I say we are ok with having long breaks if the reason is for you to take care of yourself.
Glad you didn’t delete the channel, going back through content now and then is a good time and I would hate to see all your vids disappear.

The struggles you described are probably more common than you think, especially in the world of content creation.
Imo it's good that you kept the channels in the end. The content you produced is still valid for many people and if people can't cope with the fact that you're not on it full time anymore it's on them, not on you (ok it's easier said than done I know, but it's still true).
You owe nothing to anyone.
No apologies necessary at all! Just glad to see you and know that your old videos were saved from extinction. They opened a whole new world for me when I was a kid, and I've been wanting to revisit them lately. I'm sure they still have much to share with others, too! Take care of yourself

You know. I never really could lucid dream but I enjoyed your videos anyway and you seem like a cool guy. Looking at your videos is like going down memory lane, Also you said you have depressive episodes and you are starting to vaguely look like Ronnie mcnutt please gid if you are thinking about ending it don’t. We’d be losing a good guy.
That cyclical nature of mental health...
It sounds very similiar to bipolar. I know because I have close family affected by it, and the signs obvious when the lows and highs come.
It only took a couple GP to properly diagnose and medicate them. Now they're doing better than ever.
Well I'm really glad you didn't delete your channel because then I wouldn't have known who you are - and I'm very glad I do, your lucid dream videos have done wonders for me. Thanks Giz. Looking after yourself properly should be everyone's number one priority. It's not selfish, it's vital. You can't do right for anyone else if you don't do right by yourself. I look forward to hearing more from you 💕

I honestly thought that this is the norm for Lucid Dream youtubers since the other guy I've been following for years now usually takes 1-2 years of breaks in between breaks (not videos)
You recognized the symptoms that you were about the enter such a mental state again but could prevent it, but you still were unable to make videos, if I heard you right. Did you then prevent your mental state from being even worse? Was the concideration of the deletion of your channel an idea to further ease your stress?

No, but if you need to stop doing RUclips once and a while to take care of your mental health I'd say do just that because mental health is something that should be taken care of especially when one feels down.
