I put vent covers on my travel trailer put I opted to use stainless bolts and I opted to use lock nuts also

The Dremel tool pays for itself again. Never thought about the sewer gas going out the wrong way. Might be the problem with all TV'S that have sewer gas smells.

It very well could be the reason. I'm convinced it was the reason we had the grey tank smell in our last RV. I wish I would have installed these back then!

Are you still satisfied with the siphon 360 vent cover?
Yes!
Think it will stand up to hail damage after feeling the plastic? Or check after any hail storm? I have to drive about an hour to get to where mine is parked.
I'm assuming you're asking about the MaxxAir II vent fan cover. I think it will fare just as well as the lid that's installed directly on the fan. Depending on the severity of the storm & size of the hail. I would think of it as an added layer of protection to protect your vent fan lid from failing from hail!

Did you vent cover come with that tape? I ordered ours and there was no tape in the package.

@@EatSeeRV gotcha! I was hearing Winnebago fiberglass roofs take something different than dicor was why I asked.
