    When a reminder is needed about what is beautiful and special about the euphonium and its capacity to sing, all one needs to do is turn to Mr. Mead. I'm blown away by technical wizardry as much as anyone, but I can listen to playing like this all day.

    Wonderful playing as always by Steven Mead, but again thank you for sharing. There are many of us at home that sometimes reach a plateau in our minds of our ability and getting back to the basics like the ones in your master classes has helped to reassure me that I am on my way to success in the ling run, nothing ever occurs as fast as we would like, but it is nice to be reassured I am on the right path.

    Dude you are perfect at the Euphonium. You played the concert Bb scale an octave up like it was nothing. Granted, I'm a 3rd year Euphonium player, so my high Bb has terrible tone, but still you did everything so perfectly. Overall, you are a legend.

    I'm in 8th grade, I love the SM3, but my band director wants me to switch to a Bach 5G, any suggestions?

      Well uh, as an 8th grader you wouldnt habe enough experience (i would think idk though) to play on an sm3 so go back to a 5g until your sophomore year and thrn switch back to the sm3u and see if you like it

    Around 5:55 ish it sounds almost like there is a very quite "multiphonic esque" sound. Does anyone know what that is???

    • @iun1904
      @iun1904 9 лет назад +2

      ***** i don't think he's doing it there, the purpose of multiphonics is to create chords and he obv isn't doing that there, i think it's just something to do with the microphone.
