Man that is one the best videos I've seen on ignition module, short trick on making sure it works, great job! I replace my distributor and truck fired right up.

Update : Truck Running - want to share possible solution with you and others. Thanks again for your video. My truck is a 92 silverado. 3/4 ton, 4x4, 454 engine. Parts replaced include ignition module, ignition coil, rotor, distributor cap, fuel relay, battery, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. I sanded down contact points for ground (ignition coil). I even inspected the computer for signs of wear or wires having been chewed up by mice. Still no spark...... my brother-in- law found the problem. Even though the fuses tested as good, the ignition fuse (metallc, 30 amp i believe) was not fully/firmly making contact in the fuse block clips. Once good contact, the truck fired right up. Had to be fuse because we tested at each repair made. Good news is the truck is running great and smooth....113k miles so should serve well for years. Thanks again for your time and info - Have a Great Day :-)

Did the distributor fix your problem? My 92 S10 has no fire, swapped, ignition modules, rotor caps, buttons, ecm all from a good running vehicle with no luck

@@jamesmaddox40 no, the 30 amp ignition fuse (fuse panel inside cab) wasn't msking good contact. Once it was, fired right up. But, sll new parts have it running better than has in years. Good Luck!

I just replaced the pickup coil in.my S10 distribuitor, it is way cheaper than a new distribuitor, less than $15 at autozone

not if it's like my 90 Silverado which somebody installed a fancy new remote starter that connects to your phone that also works as an interlock since I parked it last deer hunting

Hello sir! This video helped me out a lot! I’ve tried 3 coils, I’ve changed the cap the rotor and the icm still no fire! My new distributor will be here Monday!! I have a question only you will have the answer to. I have the same ignition coil my question is I’m getting 12v in but on the connector on the coil going to the distributor it reads 9v and it’s been like that on all 3 coils ! What’s that supposed to read??
