I was saying pickup coil in the distributor that happen to me before on my S-10. Sometimes these old cars make you want to pull your hair out. Great job
I was using those $135 from the oarts store they would go out in no time went through three of them so I orderd a marine application or so they say it was a 300 or more and tried it this is ridiculous I think Im going to make up a set of wires with an actual metal core maybe just to much resistance in tge wires or the spark plugs breaking down the diatributor

Change your pick up coil in the distributor
We did all that it turned out to actually be the distributor.
