A bit of trivia for those who may not already know: Corey Burton - the voice of Shockwave in the original Transformers cartoon and film - reprised his role for the commercial. He was ultimately dissatisfied, later stating that he didn't feel like he was truly playing Shockwave, and the whole bit was too far out of character for his liking.
And in fall of cybertron and rise of the dark spark steve blum (who also voiced barricade and sharpshot) voiced shockwave
Only if he knew that Shockwave would be in character for FoC. Was he not aware that this was a joke commercial when he was asked to record his lines?

This was actually Corey Burton’s last Transformers related project. He hasn’t been involved in any others after this ad.

You know it's a good point. I know Starscream was always Megatron's second, but at what point in THIS story did he make Starscream his second in command? And then every time he goes, "MeGaTrOn Is DeAd! I aM yOuR lEaDeR nOw!" all the other Decepticons are just like, "Okie dokie!"
Syarscream had just joined the decepticons at the time so it makes sense he's not 2nd in command yet

I find it insane that nobody has properly Re-released the War For Cybertron Games. Wouldn’t be that difficult to adapt to the new consoles and imagine how popular the multiplayer would be.

For said commercial, Shockwave was voiced by Corey Burton, voice actor of Generation 1 and Animated Shockwaves. He later lamented over a forum post that the performance was so rushed and the "gag" nature so out of character, that it hardly even sounded like him: "Two different sessions; and while they were awfully nice to work with, I have to say that the gag line was written and directed completely off-character. Since it was all supposed to be pretty "camp" anyway, and it had to be wedged-into a space that wasn't even there in the initial cut, I just went along with it. Figured it's just a silly bit of hype, that wasn't worth taking seriously enough to fuss over."
