Most flagship Galaxy smartphones have Bixby Routines built in. It allows you to automate certain tasks based on certain conditions. When those conditions are met, your Galaxy Smartphone can automatically perform a series of tasks that you configure once and for all.
For other smartphones, there are apps like Tasker, Flow and IFTTT - which can also automate much more beyond the capabilities of Bixby Routines.
But because Bixby Routines is built for Samsung and by Samsung - it is extremely reliable, accurate and super easy to setup. Try out my favourite Routines from this video.

I set the Bixby routine named as Good Night. I jst start it before sleep and that takes care of -
BT off
Location off
Turn DND on
NFC off
Battery saving to Medium Power saving mode and
Screen brightness to 20%
Set alarm to.. x am.

Great video! I love learning more about Bixby. It's very functional. People get confused by comparing Bixby and Google Assistant. They are two different animals. Some great routines here.

I used the app "Tasker" before to automate my S9+, but with my new S20+, Bixby routines makes the settings much more user friendly and visualy appealing. Both combine are even more powerful!

Tasker is extremely powerful. It can do alot more things. Bixby routines is for more subtle things... But you're right, it's alot easier to use, much better interface and frankly it doesn't drain battery.
Bixby routines work great on s9 and it's on settings.

This is the reason why I cant never ever think of going for a iphone which cost u too much n nothing much u can do there instead of sticking to ur stock settings. Wonder what the hell iPhones can do 🤔

As per what I can see on your phone, may I still have access to Bixby routines even if I have a launcher installed other than the "native" one (or was it just an icon pack installed on yours?)?!

How do we move these settings to Routines plus. I had a study time option in routines where I have set to keep the screen on. I am failing to find or setup the same in routines plus. I had that toggle button saved on my mobile screen. Pressing it keeps the screen on unless you toggle it to off. I read books and it was very helpful in keeping the screen on

Excellent examples, thank you. Two suggestions: 1. Please show a timeline of your suggestions, it would be a major help getting back to them. 2. Cut out the background music it quickly becomes obnoxiously annoying. We came to here to learn, however we must fight music.

Just because Bixby routines do not listen to the calendar evens (meeting routine isn't automatic) I am using PhoneProfilesPlus as well. Very good video!

I have a question though. I'm not too thrilled about the Gestures to Mute (for instance laying the phone screen down on a table to mute the ringtones will only work if a ringtone is running. I want to know if there is a way to use sensors on the phone to do similar, in other words IF screen is facing down auto activate the Meeting Routine to Mute calls and apps (keep vibrate on) and Decline calls with a text message.
Or if you are aware of an app that can do this I'd appreciate knowing. Cheers

Hi, I've been having problems by setting the location with the maps app, uber and some other that require location on
So I created the routine ,and when I get into some of those apps location doesn't turn on.

I got the Note 20 Ultra and set up a Bixby Routine to switch screen resolution to 1440p only when RUclips/Netflix are open and then when you exit, it goes back to 1080p 120hz since you can't run both at the same time

if I do the routine for location I have a problem by he camera app. even though I added the camera app into "if" tab, whenever I open the camera app I get the notification to turn on the location, although in the background the location ha been turned on due to the routine. is there a way to remove that message from starting the camera app?
