    I've established my sleep routine too. Whenever it activates, it switches screen to greyscale, lowers the brightness by up to 10%, and incorporates an additional dim setting. Moreover, it suspends all notifications except for calls. This approach assists me in falling asleep more quickly, avoiding unnecessary scrolling in bed. All of these into S23!

    One of my favourite routines changes my sound profile automatically when I get to work and when I leave. It does require location services, but when I arrive at work (by work's address), it mutes my ringtone, notifications, and system sound; when I leave work, it automatically returns my sound settings to where they were before I got to work. I used Llama for this for years before getting my S23, and found out Llama was no longer available, so I was excited to find that this routine did the same thing, and more!

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  Год назад +3

      That's an awesome setup actually! You could do it by schedule, but your way is better if your work schedule is unpredictable at times. I never heard of Llama before, but glad this functionality is native on Samsung phones. Thanks for watching Courtney 🙂

    greetings!
    one particular Bixby routine I made, is making the double tap of the power button activate alexa, especially since chat GPT will be coming to it in-do time.
    I am hoping someday on RUclips, someone will make a proper Bixby routines versus Siri shortcuts comparison, because I haven't found a video on one.
    keep up the excellent work!

      @DemCrumblies  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hey @TrentonMatthews, thanks for sharing! Yea that would be handy since the Google assistant seems like a toddler when compared to chat GPT. I like that idea, but because I take photos and videos so much, I have my double tap to open the camera. I wish Samsung would give a dedicated shutter button for the camera like Sony does for their phones, but I can't complain too much because their routines are not something lots of other brands do well. Hopefully one of the top apple review channels or phone review channels can make that video, I don't have much experience with iOS, so I'd be at the start here tile if I even attempted it 😉 Thanks for watching and sharing your tip though, once chat GPT comes, maybe I can ask it to launch my camera app with the a preselected lens and settings, imagine the possibilities if it could do that!

      There's not enough Bixby content that is up to date these days, routines, Vision (which I'm a blind/visually impaired user) or voice.

    I am a new Samsung user (S20 FE - 2022) migrated from iPhone where I used to use Shortcuts to be able to send myself the Battery % every 6 hours. However, I find the Samsung Galaxy device to last much longer even after an year and thanks to Modes and Routines have set-up few but still struggling with one specific one - want a preloaded message to be drafted everytime I plug into charging with the battery % at that specific time. Also a pre-drafted message to be sent to either myself or just be there as a draft for me to click the send button when I unplug the phone at the time and at the battery % the phone was Unplugged at.

      Hey Tejas, I'm not aware of that type of functionality with the routines. You can try to look into something like IFTTT to see if anyone has created anything like that or can help guide you. Here's a start: ifttt.com/connect/android_battery/email_digest

      I have a few routines to send custom notifications when my battery drops past 80, 70, 60, 50% etc and they send them to my Galaxy Watch. Then I have the reverse when it's charging

  • @lancefaure3945
    @lancefaure3945 Год назад +3

    This battery routine at 99% to protect 'over charging' battery does nothing vs 100%. In either case the battery will drop 1-2% from its set point and then start charging again. Over and over, all night long. Same goes for 85% for that matter.
    I use an aggressive sleep mode routine that basically turns everything off. My percent battery drop across 8 hours of sleep time is about 1%.
    So even if I leave my phone plugged in all night it will rarely start a recharge cycle once the finished charge set point is reached.

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  Год назад

      Hey Lance, yep, you're right. I just set it at 99% on this video to show people that it was actually stopping at 99%, but it can be set to any number over 85%. Another viewer mentioned the same thing, that the phone just cuts charging and starts again intelligently, so there isn't a need for this routine. Does your aggressive sleep mode routine include turning off WiFi btw?

    • @lancefaure3945
      @lancefaure3945 Год назад +1

      @@DemCrumblies yeah my aggressive sleep mode turns off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile data, Location and turns on Power Savings.
      If you needed to be reached while sleeping then I would modify it to keep mobile data on but restrict app usage. Or if on Wi-Fi VoIP then I would disable mobile data and enable Wi-Fi scan throttling (dev setting).

      Sorry but it wont,
      i have used software and hardware monitors when the phone s22u and s23u (along with countless other battery operated devices) when it hits 100% the amps drop off to just handful and only enough for the phone to operate. you can leave the phone on charge 24/7 and it wont overcharge. what degrades batteries its the amount of times its charged and how much of a charge is given to it. just like setting up a big lipo battery set up for a house you want to keep you battery ideally between 30% and 85%.
      i have done that with my S22u and i also only slow wireless charge of a night and after 15 months of heavy use it still has 100% battery health.
      the only cavate to this is using a low quality charger and cable even the phone should be smart enough. when do i super fast charge i superfast charge 2.0 which requires a special power manganate chip in the cable.

    • @DemCrumblies

      Hey Saif, unfortunately, I don't see a way to do this, then reverse the actions at the end of the call. You can definitely set the phone to vibrate when a call is incoming from a certain contact or contacts, then it should go back to mute if you always had the phone on mute. Maybe try this: If Incoming Call (Select Your Applicable Contacts), Then Sound mode and volume to vibrate and all other sounds to 0%. Then save the routine and put all your sounds to mute. Ask someone to call and it should still vibrate with the call incoming. It should go back to the muted settings I think, but you'll have to test it.

    Is there a way to apply two conditions simultaneously? For instance, I have a sleep routine set from 23:00 to 07:00. Samsung recommends charging to 85% for preserving battery life. If you enable the battery protect feature on Samsung phones, it limits the charge to 85%. 100% will not equal to overcharge, because it seems the phone will intelligently cut power to the phone to let it drop to 99% before charging resumes again.
