Drink responsibly is really what must of us doesn't agree in. The alcohol problem looks like one of the common addictions out there.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Indeed, it is true, our family will always be the first to help. Though this may not be true to others because some families would dump a lost member. Good thing you have recovered.

Despite the slogan drink responsibly, to some people it is not an easy feat, not because they don't want too but because they can't help it. The strength to withdraw when it is necessary is what we should all pray for. Glad you made it through this.

The best thing is that she eventually realized that she actually had a problem. That's the point where she decided to turn things around.

Great story thank you for sharing. Its great that you were able to recover and its true our families or loved ones would really be our support system going through recovery. And I agree that in the end its still a choice you have to make so we need to always be guided to make the right decisions.

This is understating it. fact is addiction or may it be alcohol or what not if it kicks in 8 out 10 times responsibility is the first one to jump ship. To make things worse it creates this down ward ripple effect that at times takes a lot to get out. Getting in is easy. getting out is hard.

Me too, except it was vodka. I would drink and drive to work, drink all day at work, drive home drunk, get home and drink until I passed out then wake up and repeat. Not one person noticed. I went to detox two months ago and am 62 days sober today 😎

Barb DeSouza stay strong. If you feel like you can’t handle it I highly recommend checking into a detox at your hospital. It was the best decision I made in my life, even if I did have to pay 2K in hospital fees

I relapsed a couple months ago, started doing opiates and alcohol. Went through two types of withdrawals and am in outpatient rehab now. Relapse is part of recovery and so is honesty. 11 days sober today about to go to an AA meeting soon. Just thought I would share that, stay safe everyone
