4:06 what happen man
This adaptation prequel of Peter Pan was something I remember this in my childhood when it came out I was 13 years old despite I realized nowadays that it was a initial box office but I’m so glad it suddenly gave itself a cult following
Another thing I liked was the concept of "the lost boys" meaning they are kidnapped and orphaned kids, so it makes sense that they don't have parents
2:55 - Evacuation was a system where families in large cities that were likely bombing targets (in the case of the UK places like London, Manchester, Liverpool) would send their children to stay in more rural, remote areas to keep them safe. Sometimes with family, sometimes with whoever had room to house them.
It's why the children in the Narnia movies go to the house they find the wardrobe in. And also in Bedknobs and Broomsticks which I would recommend if you haven't seen it.
I actually liked the change with the Natives of Neverland not being Native Americans. Its a magical land in a different universe, They are all different races because they are the descendants of the original people who came to neverland, people from all walks of life. It never actually made sense for them to he Native Americans.
My parents don't even remember watching this as a family when it came out on Netflix, and I only remember it for the Smells Like Teen Spirit
Blackbeard was decent villain but could've been better.
I liked that Peter is a half-blood between a human and a fairy, that explains why he flies without pixie dust and speaks to tinkerbell.
While i dont remember this movie i remember the cover of smells like teen spirit. My favorite version of the song
I’ve seen this movie many times, but I forgot it existed! 🤣
"Neverland" (2011)
2 part miniseries.
Hope you can do that one also! (Watch both parts together, like one movie)
One of the best origin story for Peter Pan in my opinion ❤
Please Watch Peter Pan 2003 version it's the best adaptation of Peter Pan to me and honestly very entertaining!! Love the reaction!
The only thing I remember from this movie was the smell like teen spirit part.
Astounding reaction; it’s a shame we didn’t get a sequel to see Peter and James become enemies as Pan and Hook. Besides Finding Neverland and Hook, I highly recommend watching the Broadway musical (Cathy Rigby’s version) and the 2 part sci-fi series Neverland which is another albeit darker version of the origin of Pan and Hook. 🧚🐊🧜♀️🏴☠️⚔️⚓️🚢💚💛❤️
the Smells Like Teen Spirit scene is so WTF it's actually kind of fascinating, lol
It’s kinda badass
Hugh Jackman was Blackbeard. First, Ian McShane now him.
Glad your back
I remember last time watching pan 2015 in cinema. It was the greatest Peter pan prequel in my opinion. If i have to compare with Disney Peter Pan Live Action really disappointing. I find it interesting Hook was a good guy who fell in love with Tiger Lily before become villain in the original show.
Awesome reaction of my favorite movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I confused it with a miniseries called "Neverland" where they told a prequel to Peter Pan
Good reaction bro 😊
There's also 'Peter Pan and Wendy' with Jude Law from 2023 if you want to complete the set.
Love You Tim
The movie is an almost direct (albeit goofier) steal of the cable miniseries “Neverland”, which also backstoried Hook as the Fagin of a group of London street orphans before training under real pirates-Although that version used Anne Bonney as the pirate, and used actual natives for Tiger Lily instead of….Carnival showgirls, I guess? 🤷♂️
I actually liked the change with Tiger Lily. It never made sense that the "Natives" of NeverLand are Native American, since this is a magical land in the stars, not America. I like that they are all different races, as if the "Natives" of Neverland are the descendants of all of the people who made their way to Neverland over the centuries.
I just thought of a version where the natives of Neverland are the Mayans, because in real life, that tribe disappeared and only left the ruins behind and to this day their disappearance is still an enigma, imagine a version where they just ended up on Neverland xF
I liked a lot of things in this movie, but some could be better. I enjoyed it.❤️😊
Great 0:12
This is a great Pan movie.
You should watch Hook 🪝
Great ❤
❤❤ Great react! Can you watch Pride and Prejudice (2005)? Maybe for valentines day since it's a romance. The American cut is best.
So new video pan reaction
Rooney Mara is awesome in that movie!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
If it was NOT Tiger Lily, this role would have NOT been as awkward or controversial as it was. Even Rooney Mara herself came to regret taking this part from a more appropriate Native American actress.
@@NicolasHuizarI didn't know that at first when I saw this!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
I really like this movie a lot I guess it’s probably not the greatest, but it is a really cool looking movie
New video PAN reaction
Ah yes, the "prequel" to the original Peter Pan story.
Although the performances and musical score are good, the writing, the plot, characterization, and the heavy over-reliance on special effects are this film's main problem.
Peter Pan Disney Plus
How about doing the tinkerbell movies
Ah yes, the one most people agree is pretty terrible, yet still somehow way better than _Peter Pan and Wendy._
Why are they singing Nirvana in neverland? Why is Tiger Lilly white?
Yeah....yeah....
Wasn't fond of this one, lets just say. The pirates singing Nirvana, the...natives...,Indiana Jones style Captain Hook. Not my favorite.
"Hook"is still the best adaptation.
This is definitely the weakest adaptation of Peter Pan. Everything is forgettable, the lines of dialogue are not that good, there’s an overdone chosen one trope, and the song Smells Like Teen Spirit does not fit with this movie at all. This movie is bad, and it really shows.
I think one can make the argument you could make is they picked up the song when they traveled to find kids to dig in the mines, as time is played around with a lot in Neverland. But yeah, with NO explanation it's kind of random.
I actually quite liked the movie, though yeah, the narrative and some ideas could be better explained or presented. 🤔 I liked it as a prequel for Peter. Kind of, or one of the origins for him.
Fun Facts
1. Pan was the biggest box failure of 2015.
2. Actress Rooney Mara regrets her role as Tiger Lily
3. Director Joe Wright not only regrets doing Pan, this film also lead to him getting fired by the same studio who were considering him for a Julius Caesar biopic.
