I don't think the drummer has bad rythym I think the problem is the lead guitar isn't keeping steady tempo. He keeps speeding up on the more intense/flashy parts and it makes the drums almost sound off and it seems like a couple times the drums tried to match him a little so he didn't seem so off. I also think this recording is not allowing the bass drum to come through and it makes the drums sound a bit off. On another note you guys have a sick logo.
Overall good performance. Guitarists were very good and they pretty much nailed that solo. Vocals would have been great. The drummer wasn't bad need to work on the rhythm and some cymbal parts and then maybe the double kick part. Overall it was a good performance.
I do it that way too, been playing open handed from the start its much better that way I think. Barring a few cases of "wait which hand do I hit the crash, so I can play the rest of the fill properly" It really develops both ur arms, left hand on hi-hat and right hand on ride.

not saying y'all can't play because you seem to be able to, but practice is key. there were several times where it seemed like y'all were at different places in the song. it sounded like the drummer was following the guitarist when it should've been the other way around. not trashing, just constructive criticism. as the drummer you 're the backbone so if you don't have access to a click track what I would do is have the actual song in your ears and play along with it to keep time. that'll tighten you right up till you become a human metronome. and don't be afraid to use the high-hat pedal to help the others keep time when you aren't playing.

this is the proof of how much practice session and hard work are importan! they niled the solos better than the rhythm part !
