The other contestants listen to him and accept the fact that this guy has spent hundreds of hours locked in his bedroom practicing scales and arpeggios. They recognize the pure talent through self sacrifice. Just hard work. Just like studying for hours to have an exam. But this guy gives pleasure to all of his audience. An algebra test just ain't the same.
Thank you so much! All of what you said is completely true. For almost 8 years now, I’ve locked myself up in my room practicing until I nail what I try to practice. Which does sound depressing now that I think about it, but I was willing to choose passion over friendship. I knew if I fully dedicated myself to music, I knew that it would affect my social skills, making friends and even keeping friends. After all of this amazing support, I don’t regret any second of it!

Please don't take this as me hating on you, or telling you to give up your dreams because that's genuinely not what I'm saying. I think you're a beast at guitar and you should never underestimate your talent. Just don't let it keep you from socializing and creating memories/relationships with people. I promise there's room for both. All that said this performance was killer and I think you're extremely talented. Never stop doing what you love!

I heard it for the first time not long ago… Imagine the 12th fret and above.. That’s the high register area. Now imagine everything from the nut to the 7th fret…that’s the CASH register.
I absolutely love how NO ONE clapped, or said a WHOO or NOTHING when you were doing Big Sur Moon with beautiful scaling, arpeggios from hell and delay work…. But screamed at crazy train 😂😂😂🤦 Edit: you absolutely KILLED it! Don’t ever give up playing guitar, I wish I could meet up with you and we could make some music happen!

It's actually quite difficult to throw a bunch of riffs together into one fluid piece of music but show off every style you kick major ass playing in only a few minutes. Thousands upon thousands of hours and some people play their entire lives and not get near this good at everything.,
I was blown away in so many ways... fantastic talent you have there... but the fact that high school aged kids actually knew these songs gives me hope that good music will once again return to our culture! Thank you for bringing a smile to my face today! Eddie Van Halen is looking down smiling at you for that killer ending!

Dude this was killer! I’ve been playing for 25 years now, and started when I was a freshman in high school, where I fronted a metal band, so I KNOW that doing what you just did, and ALONE no less, was so freaking gutsy and takes a lot of heart and calm to not let your adrenaline run away with you. You’re a great player as far as technical ability, but I absolutely LOVE your energy during the performance! You’re soooo hyped up during it, and the way that you’re pacing at the end is tooootally something I can relate to! Nice work man, this was a lot of fun to watch. **Sorry for my superfluous usage of exclamations. . . .I have a slight addiction to hyperbole LoLLL**
Thank you for the awesome response! I’m on my 8th year of playing but this was my very first live performance. I got so focused on my playing that I almost forgot there was 50+ people in the audience! Im very relieved (and surprised) that I didn’t screw up at all.
True! The feelings of failure in front of friends is WAY worse than complete strangers at a bar setting, etc. You have to actually see these people the next day! Lol
A absolute great sound out of a little practice amp. Who needs walls of Marshalls. It wouldn’t make this guy sound any better than he is in this video.

@Gene Yuss Gamma = great band. Gamma 3 is one of my favorite albums especially with songs like "Whats gone is gone".
