right so what you have to do is sit down with your legs out, feet flat on the floor and close together (making a V shape), choose a leg to work on and put the other one on the chair. to seal the deal make sure your knees form a 90 degree. a lot of ppl just “feel” for the right position, doing trial and error until they find it, and if ur a beginner that prob wont work immediately

Start by sitting on the box which you’re going to use to elevate your back foot. Then, scoot to the edge - to the point your cheeks start to hang off the edge of the box. Reach one of your legs straight out in front of you and then stand up. That is how you get proper placement for your feet
