Great film! About 10 years ago I was on vacation in Fiji, sitting next to an Australian fellah telling me about ultra races he organized in Australia. I remember telling him how I had recently run my first half marathon in Disney World and was quite proud of myself. I had no comprehension of what an ultra was, or what he was talking about. That was nearly 10 years ago. 5 months ago, I finished UTMB. Funny how life happens. Films like this helped me find my way to UTMB. Keep inspiring others, you are changing lives!

That was probably the best running film I have seen. Bloody good to see that it focuses on a bunch of normal blokes too. Also the producer deserves a chocolate fish!
I was never much of a runner. I just did it to stay moderately fit. But in April 2022, I discovered trail running and was inspired by the stuff I saw on RUclips. I got more serious from then on and in July of that year I did my first Ultra (a 50k). I'd never done any sort of race or event before, so completing that was a landmark moment for me. Did my second 50k a couple months after that in September 2022, and now three weeks from my third, with my fourth 8 weeks away. I then got a place for the CCC in September 2023. It's been an incredible journey

Hi Matt, ahh so glad you found the film and enjoyed it too! Thanks :) We must admit, the aerial shots are actually helicopter footage - we weren't allowed to fly drones but because George bagged a media pass we were given the media footage which was filmed from the sky - they were super useful in adding drama to the rest of the shots and providing some context of the epic mountain setting!

Welled up in tears, thanks for sharing. I can relate to the journey although I never ran UMTB. I did a 125 mile race in Ireland called the Kerryway Ultra. I couldn’t put into words how it felt and what goes through a runners mind. Your video summons my feeling up very nicely. As someone said to me, doing a race like that , at some point, you feel you understand everything. Inspiring you guys !
Wow, Jens, the Kerryway Ultra sounds like a beast! It's so great to hear from other runners that they can relate to those feelings of running a race like this. So many feels!
Great video, really felt the emotion. I finished my first Ironman last year, I can relate with pain, training, dedication and emotion . Family and friends are key for the support you need to accomplish a goal like this. I am in the middle of training for an Ironman in July.
Wow, I have seen a lot of ultra running films, and this definitely marks a spot amongst the best out there. It was refreshing to see the stance from a non-elite pro runner viewpoint. Though, they are definitely elite, I have been a preparing for a 50k and it's tough work.
Good luck with your 50K prepping - big respect to anyone who gets out there and does it. So glad you liked seeing things through the eyes of non-elites and enjoyed the film!
Super effort to all three guys. From the comments here seems the video creators are getting all the wraps!! ha ha! yes the video is super too. from an Aussie in Utah
Glad you enjoyed it, Paul. The three guys are legends and we have been so inspired to work with them and discover the trail and ultrarunning community. Hope you're well in Utah!
quel souvenir ! thanks a lot for this film, i remember me running and walking. I have the storm from La Fouly in my memories for ever. It's a very realistic film with good music !
WOW! i still have tears in my eyes. a very captivating story! i laught, i cryed, and it inspired me to keep pushing my limits. i really wanna do finish UTMB and you guys showed me how hard it is and i have to really prepare for the beast. and i laugh every time you go asked "will you do it again" and instant answer NEVER :)))) IMHO the more you go for this type of hard adventure (gradually) it is less and less torture, pain. your video really made me take a deep breath and reconsider how soon i would apply for UTMB. seeing this video and many other Ultra videos made me realise how faaaaar away from our true potential we tend to live. if you compare to normal person, you guys and any ultra 100mile is SUPER-HUMAN - GOD like. once i heard the voice of spirit in my head saying "you have no ideea how capable you are, what you can actually do" i will never forget that vibe. so true. now whenever i train and hear the voice of "oh i cannot anymore," i replace it with the first one. many blessings to you! thanks for the video. i will watch again! i donate because i would like more videos like this.
Many blessings to you too, Ian! We are all so so happy you found The Hundred Miler and you enjoyed it too. Best wishes, Pat, Jacko and Steve (runners) and Bryony & George (filmmakers). Thanks!
What an AMAZING film George and Bryony! So beautifully produced, I never thought that I would want to do an ultra but this film has shown how hard, intense and rewarding it is! Well done!
Amazing story guys! You made me laugh and cry! I was there racing as well but this time (2019) I had to DNF due to injury. I laughed on the part where you answer "Never!" to the question "Would you come back to UTMB again?" because that is the same answer that I had after each and every race... but hours later I'm there sitting and searching for qualifying races because I miss all those feelings and emotions that I had the opportunity to experience during the race! All the effort, the training, the sacrifice, the qualifying races are worth the effort.... even if you have to DNF (like I did). It's OK because we love the sport, the people are amazing, and the stunning trails we run on are spectacular and immense! Well done guys! Awesome film! Thank you! :) P.S. See you in Chamonix! ;)

Awesome film guys. Thanks for sharing this experience and all the raw emotion. You have yet again stoked the fire of UTMB for me!
Thanks so much Jason. We really wanted to capture the experience of UTMB. It's a killer!
Great video, really felt the emotion. I finished my first Ironman last year, I can relate with pain, training, dedication and emotion . Family and friends are key for the support you need to accomplish a goal like this. I am in the middle of training for an Ironman in July.
Incredible Christopher! We'll all be rooting for you with that next Ironman.
This is fucking incredible. So good to see it from the perspective of normal blokes. Great job.
That's exactly the angle we were going for - normal blokes doing extraordinary things. So glad you enjoyed it!
That was tremendous.
Cheers, Marc :)
Absolutely loved this. Goosebumps all the way through!
Really enjoyed that lads, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it, David.
Such a great film thank you 👍!
Glad you enjoyed it Lauren :)
Beautiful! Makes me even more anxious to get out of Covid Quarantine!!!
Nathan are we just torturing ourselves watching all these great running vids while there are no races haha? Can't wait for covid to be over
Yeah Nathan you and us both! Desperate to stretch our legs and return to 'normality'... really glad you enjoyed the film either way!
Bought back the emotions of CCC UTMB for me. Great effort all three guys for getting to the start line. The last climb is brutal.
Cheers Ian, great having comments like these from people like you who have actually taken the race on!
Great effort 3 amigos! And brilliantly captured!
Cheers Mark! And thanks for taking the time to watch our other videos too :) we're glad you found Broaden's channel!
quel souvenir ! thanks a lot for this film, i remember me running and walking. I have the storm from La Fouly in my memories for ever. It's a very realistic film with good music !
Great movie - far more than 100 miles !
Appreciate it Adam!
AWESOME lads, truly. It’s unreasonable to ask that you do UTMB again for Steve, but I hope to God you will.
Cheers Lewis! I'm sure Steve will be back to rectify that DNF one day.
An excellent video. I'd love to have a crack at this race one day.
Do it! Got to be one of the most stunning settings too. The race of a lifetime
WOW! i still have tears in my eyes. a very captivating story! i laught, i cryed, and it inspired me to keep pushing my limits. i really wanna do finish UTMB and you guys showed me how hard it is and i have to really prepare for the beast. and i laugh every time you go asked "will you do it again" and instant answer NEVER :)))) IMHO the more you go for this type of hard adventure (gradually) it is less and less torture, pain. your video really made me take a deep breath and reconsider how soon i would apply for UTMB.
seeing this video and many other Ultra videos made me realise how faaaaar away from our true potential we tend to live. if you compare to normal person, you guys and any ultra 100mile is SUPER-HUMAN - GOD like.
once i heard the voice of spirit in my head saying "you have no ideea how capable you are, what you can actually do" i will never forget that vibe. so true. now whenever i train and hear the voice of "oh i cannot anymore," i replace it with the first one.
many blessings to you! thanks for the video. i will watch again! i donate because i would like more videos like this.
Many blessings to you too, Ian! We are all so so happy you found The Hundred Miler and you enjoyed it too. Best wishes, Pat, Jacko and Steve (runners) and Bryony & George (filmmakers). Thanks!
Amazing video of your journey! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Glad you liked it Keith :D
Fantastic doco! That certainly won’t be the last time I watch it, absolutely love it!
Thanks Adam, repeat viewing is the best kind of compliment! :)
What an AMAZING film George and Bryony! So beautifully produced, I never thought that I would want to do an ultra but this film has shown how hard, intense and rewarding it is! Well done!
Ultras seem to do that: make you want to do something you previously thought was crazy.... glad you liked it!
Great film, really enjoyed it, thanks ..... Best line '' F@ck No'' right at the end 😂😂
Haha yes it had to end with a bang! 🤣
Such an amazing story guys. Truly inspiring
So glad you enjoyed it Dean.
Thank you! :)
P.S. See you in Chamonix! ;)
Aramis, this sort of comment means so much to us. Great to know it touched you as an ultra runner and someone who has experienced DNFing as well. here's to many more races!
